You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 11,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.
Training the Assistant Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development.

To provide a high standard of executive and personal assistance to the CEO. About You

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Complex diary management for the CEO, liaising with multiple stakeholders for timeslots and rescheduling appointments.
• Handle internal and external enquiries in a professional, confidential manner; dealing with these to conclusion where possible, or referring them to the appropriate person.
• Monitoring CEO inbox to flag urgent emails and highlight unanswered emails.
• Take accurate minutes of regular and ad hoc meetings as requested by the CEO, monitor progress on agreed actions and follow up with action holders directly as necessary.
• Manage and organise Monthly All Staff meetings, Weekly Update meetings and other meetings requested by the CEO, and ensure all audio/ visual set-up is working, and agendas are updated.
• Manage arrangements for incoming visitors (from MAP’s overseas offices and external), arranging meeting schedules, and assisting with travel and hotel bookings.
• Organise venues, flights, accommodation, visas, meals and taxis for SMT offsite workshops and Project based workshops for CEO, SMT members and the participating MAP staff.
• Manage expenses and credit card statement invoices of the CEO.
• Review expenses, leave requests and other items that need CEO approval, as requested by the CEO, and make recommendations to the CEO

The Account and Support Manager will be responsible for working with the Upshot team to deliver high quality customer service to all clients. They will manage the implementation of the Upshot system for new clients, deal with customer support queries and manage contract renewals for existing clients. The successful candidate will be managing high-level and detailed relationships with clients and this role will see the successful candidate as a primary point of contact for both new and existing clients of which they are responsible for.

The role
We’re looking for an experienced and values-driven Senior Fundraising Manager to help us grow and diversify our income in support of CSE’s mission.
This is a strategic and hands-on role that will see you lead charitable fundraising activity across trusts and foundations, individual giving and corporate partnerships. You will work closely with the Director of Development & External Affairs to set and deliver ambitious but realistic income targets and identify opportunities that align with our goals.
You will support the development of high-quality, compelling funding proposals in collaboration with our delivery teams. You will also contribute to organisational strategy, refine internal systems and processes, and provide leadership to other development team members.
Who you are
You are a creative and collaborative fundraiser with a strong track record of securing funding and developing projects with social impact. You are comfortable taking ownership, spotting opportunities, and communicating persuasively with funders, colleagues and partners.
You bring strategic thinking, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You enjoy working across teams and disciplines and are committed to building relationships and growing impact.
You will bring:
- Demonstrable experience of securing significant funding from charitable trusts and foundations.
- A broad range of fundraising experience across corporate, statutory and individual giving.
- Experience of writing compelling proposals, tenders and expressions of interest.
- Knowledge of fundraising compliance and best practice, including data protection (GDPR).
- A collaborative mindset and confidence working with senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Experience of line management and supporting others to learn and grow.

Our Commercial Team
We have a small commercial team with big ambitions for the sector.
Currently, we hold a single commercial contract worth around £3m per year delivered through 12 libraries. Our aim is to reach a point where we have a menu of commercial contracts that all of our 176 member library services can choose to benefit from according to the skills and assets of their service, their focus and strategy and of course the needs of their communities.
In the current funding climate for local authorities and local government services, these contracts are not just about the income and the services they can provide but about demonstrating nationally the power of the library sector, and how national services can be delivered locally through library services and the communities they serve.
Our approach is to identify and secure contracts procured by national government – either directly or with partners to extend the libraries’ capabilities – with an eye to local delivery through the library services. This allows us to centrally hold and manage the risk of the national contract, leaving the library services to deliver themselves.
We see libraries as a solution to many of society’s challenges and this is one route we use to bring the libraries into that solution.
This area is part of our long term strategy – we are seeking to build the commercial team with this role and while it is initially a 12-month contract, our hope is that with the role in place we can generate the income to sustain and build on it.

Role Purpose
As the Volunteer Centre Team Leader, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of our on-site Volunteer Centre in Cannock. This inclusive, vibrant space welcomes up to 32 volunteers daily (Monday to Friday), supporting the preparation of stock donated by retail partners for sale in our 9 UK charity shops.
