What we need from you

This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example: 

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 

• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

We are seeking a remote, creative & proactive Content Creator to join our Communications team on an unpaid, volunteer basis, providing 8 or more hours per week support on average to our International WASH programmes. . 

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of 30+ volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda, but spanning over 10 countries.We are looking to expand and diversify our team of volunteers – seeking candidates with knowledge and skills in various fields, and a deep passion for our cause. 

JOB SUMMARY: 

Join us as part of our Communications team to help deliver powerful content for our internal & external communications strategy. You will be working alongside the Communications Manager & Communications Officer to develop our digital content & increase our presence on social media platforms.  Provide creative support for enhancing donor prospects, generating demand & increasing engagement through compelling narratives to support EAU projects & fundraising initiatives. 

ROLE & RESPONSBILITIES 

• Write engaging, accessible copy for social media posts, blogs, and newsletter updates. 

• Develop storytelling materials, such as case studies and fundraising spotlights, aligned with EAU’s brand voice. 

• Ensure alignment with the EA communications calendar and major WASH/sector events. 

• Design on-brand visuals for social media posts, including carousels, infographics, and WASH project graphics. 

• Assist with basic video editing and formatting of short clips for social media and the website. 

• Work within established brand and content guidelines to ensure consistency. 

• Work to project briefs and meet agreed timelines; maintain clear communication with other volunteers. 

• Understand how data and analytics informs content performance. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS  

ESSENTIAL: 

Experience: 

• Proven ability in creation of high-quality social media content and graphics. 

• Skilled at video editing (e.g. Canva, or Adobe Premiere Pro). 

• Strong copywriting, research and storytelling skills (long-from and short-form). 

• General understanding of social media best practices. 

• An eye for visual consistency and experience working with brand guidelines/briefs. 

• A proactive, collaborative, flexible, and self-directed approach to volunteering 

Skills: 

• Familiarity with tools such as Monday, Google Analytics, Notion, or Mailchimp. 

• Knowledge of tools like Monday/Buffer to track tasks and maintain project visibility. 

DESIRABLE: 

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel as needed. 

• Previous experience within the voluntary or charity sector is advantageous. 

• Experience working with virtual teams.

CKT funds music lessons for children in Surrey who would not otherwise be able to afford them. We are looking for someone to manage our give a gig fundraising programme with the objective of maximising  the amount of funds raised  and developing long term relationships with gig givers

Specific tasks 

• Liaising with and between gig givers, speakers and other volunteers in advance of gigs to ensure the smooth running and maximise fund raising at gigs Working with the roster administrator to ensure that sufficient speakers and volunteers are available at each gig
• Ensuring that CKT team at each gig have necessary flyers, banners, buckets and gift aid Ensuring appropriate follow up after gigs including notifying the treasurer and trustees of sums raised, thanking gig givers and volunteers and banking cash collected at gigs
• Maintaining and keeping up to date the master give a gig spreadsheet, the summary list of recent and upcoming gigs in agendas and minutes and the list of past and upcoming gigs on the CKT website
• Helping organise fund raising concerts and donor events run by CKT itself from time to time
• Attending and contributing to board meetings as a CKT manager
• Attending concerts from time to time as a CKT volunteer
• Performing such other tasks and activities for CKT as skills and time allow

You will be guided in your role by the trustee or trustees with fund raising responsibilities The role may or may not include monitoring the health of the give a gig funnel and identification of and approaches to new and past gig givers for new gigs

Gig givers include all choirs, orchestras, bands, festivals and venues who have agreed to raise funds for CKT

Skills and experience required

Love for music and belief in the importance of music education for all young people You will probably enjoy going to concerts and gigs yourself

Good organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to methodically follow, apply and improve standard processes

High standard of written communication (by email)

Good people skills

Basic familiarity with operation of (non-numeric aspects of) simple excel spreadsheets and shared drives used for data and record keeping purposes

Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!

What we need from you

This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example: 

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 

• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of sight loss and RNIB services at local events. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to create a world without barriers. This face to face opportunity will see you providing information about RNIB services and activities to help people with sight loss live the lives they want, enabling them to hear about the support that is available, and how they can help others.

What you’ll be doing
• Creating a welcoming and interesting display stand.
• Speaking directly to people affected by sight loss.
• Being a friendly face of RNIB locally - engaging with a diverse range of people.
• Providing information and demonstrations of basic independent living aids for the general public and professionals.

What skills and experience are needed?

• • An outgoing, friendly approach to meeting new people • An empathetic and professional manner. • Good communications skills with active listening. • An interest in helping people access the information they need.

We are a new Community Interest Company offering arts, gardening and wellbeing workshops to all.  We are currently running on a 100% voluntary basis and are looking for some revenue to offer more to our local communities. Do you have a few hours spare each week to help us out? Do you have previous experience with applying for funding? Do you think gardening and The Arts should be accessible to all? If so we would love to hear from you.

Aim of the post: To generate an income from local, regional and national grant pots to increase the range and effectiveness of Flourish Arts Network outreach.

Person Specification: The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience;

• Relevant qualifications, previous experience in grant / bid writing, fundraising, and excellent communication skills.
• Successful track record of achieving agreed financial income targets with a charity, CIC, social enterprise or not-for-profit organisation.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, work collaboratively and supportively as part of a team.
• Manage time effectively and work to deadlines; be organised in monitoring grants and responding to grant providers.
• Volunteer as little as two hours per week.
• Be passionate about the wellbeing of others.

Duties can include;

• Apply to a list of grant/funders which will be provided. Research potential grant providers to seek funding opportunities especially those relating to Flourish Arts Network's areas of operation.
• Determine and create plans to streamline the grants administration procedure.
• Initiate contact and write bids to raise funds to support for Flourish Arts Network.
• Liaise with grant providers to ensure receipt of applications, and get feedback for any unsuccessful bids in order to learn and develop moving forward.
• Closely track grant expenditure and monitoring for successful bids, in line with the terms of each grant received.
• Join us for for refreshements and conversations at some of our free events.
