Action for Stammering Children is the national charity for children and young people who stammer, their families and the communities who support them.

We exist to ensure that every child who stammers has the support, respect and confidence to live the life they want to lead.

Founded in 1989, we provide support and information to young people, families and professionals; champion research into childhood stammering; and campaign for policy and societal change. 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced community manager enthusiastic about engaging our supporters, volunteers and fundraisers. In this role, you will be responsible for community outreach; effectively communicating our brand identity to help us  build and cultivate our supporter base. Adapting the charity’s message for a range of internal and external audiences will be second nature to you. You will be passionate about working closely with volunteers to inform our strategic direction and advocacy efforts. You will bring with you experience of implementing strategic communications,  with knowledge of email marketing, paid-for advertising and social media.  

In a typical week, you might be working with a member of our Youth Panel or Stambassador Network to create content for an upcoming outreach campaign or preparing them for a media appearance. You may be liaising with some of our community fundraisers as they prepare for their upcoming challenge event, and working with the CEO on communicating the impact of our various projects.  

But regardless of the channel or the message, your attention to detail, writing and presentation skills will be flawless, and you’ll bring a creativity and enthusiasm that helps to cultivate our existing supporters and connect with new ones.

Overview

At Operation Smile UK, we work with global colleagues to improve the lives of those living with cleft conditions around the world – by providing surgery and comprehensive care services to patients and strengthening health care systems in the countries where we work. Operation Smile UK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors and trusts and foundations. The Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in the team securing critical income from global and national corporate partners and from our network of committed community fundraisers.

We are looking for a candidate who thrives on building relationships – with partners and with colleagues in the UK and around the world. You will be a brilliant communicator, someone who can juggle multiple priorities and inspire people to believe in our story. Ideally, you will have at least a year’s experience in a relationship management role (in a commercial or fundraising setting), and a particular interest in international development. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Fundraising

· Take the lead on managing a portfolio of small and medium corporate partners - taking responsibility for all aspects of these partnerships, including communication, staff activities, events, reporting, income collection and acknowledgements

· Provide support to the Senior P&P Manager in activities relating to OSUK’s global corporate partners through managing employee-led activities across the portfolio.

· To manage and develop new initiatives for employee engagement and community participants

· Support on new business acquisition, specifically in creating new avenues for income generation through existing partnerships.

· Responsible for managing inbound enquiries relating to corporate partnerships

· Lead on producing corporate-related social media and communications content

Community Fundraising

· Lead on the handling of all inbound community fundraising correspondence, including donations received, merchandise and speaking requests

· Develop a strong understanding of fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse, maintaining their upkeep and reconciliation with Operation Smile's financial and reporting systems

Additional Responsibilities

· Expand your understanding of Operation Smile’s programmatic work globally, of cleft lip and palate conditions, health system strengthening and the global surgery sector

· Support other areas of the Partnership Team’s work, including events.

Role purpose

To provide efficient, high-quality administrative and communications support to the Foundation and its Head of Foundation. Home-Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families and children.  Our team of trained staff and volunteers provide regular emotional support and practical help to families in their own homes and in groups throughout the community.

While the majority of our funding has previously come from grants, we are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a part-time Community Fundraiser to help the charity diversify our funding sources and engage with the local community, individuals and businesses.

About the opportunity

The Training Officer will have a range of administrative responsibilities relating to Action Tutoring’s tutor training delivery and curriculum resources.

As Training Officer, you will support the Training Team by scheduling sessions in digital systems, organising and checking ID and DBS documents submitted by volunteer tutors, and responding to enquiries to support a smooth tutor journey. The role does not involve delivering training to volunteers

You will also support with managing the version history and corrections of our bespoke tutoring curriculum resources, helping keep our online library of materials accurate and up to date.

Together for Short Lives is a charity that ensures seriously ill children and their families receive the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. We also speak up to government leaders and decision-makers to help make sure families have access to the best support when they need it.

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Family Support Hub Officer to join us as maternity cover for 9 months. The Meridian One Community Garden is a meanwhile space which primarily grows fruit, salad and vegetable crops. We engage local people in the garden through weekly volunteer gardening sessions, school visits and other community events.

TCV are looking for a Senior Project Officer who has skills and experience in community engagement, delivering events and experience of managing a community facility. The community garden was established three years ago, and the site includes an office, community meeting/education room, toilets and a large polytunnel.

The Senior Project Officer will be able to effectively deliver different tasks as required, from planning and delivering a large community family weekend event to ensuring our site Health & Safety is maintained. The post holder will be able to lead volunteers in practical tasks such as making large, raised wooden planters, help maintain the garden plants during the Spring and Summer growing period and ensure administration tasks are completed on time. These administration tasks are varied and include procurement of materials, creating risk assessments, updating social media posts and completing task reports. The Senior Project Officer will be required to lead the delivery of our under 5's Nature Explorers outdoor playgroup activities, school visits, themed evening events and weekend family events. This a very much a public facing role and the Senior Project Officer must be welcoming and approachable to a wide range of stakeholders. The visitors to the garden have a wide range of backgrounds and needs, you'll need to be experienced in working with people, from toddlers attending the Nature Explorers club, vulnerable adults, to corporate volunteers and senior staff from our funders and the local authority.

Usual working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. About Us

Animal Welfare Investigations Project (AWIP) is embarking on an ambitious five-year strategy to become a membership-first organisation, empowering thousands of animal advocates to join us in protecting animals from harm. 

As part of this transformation, we’re seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive Membership Services Officer to be the first point of contact for our members and supporters, ensuring every interaction is warm, helpful, and leaves people feeling valued.

About the Role

This is a key supporter-facing role where you will:

• Be the friendly first point of contact for members and prospective members via phone, email, and other channels.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, including proactively reaching out to members to address cancellations, encourage upgrades, or convert cash supporters into ongoing members.

• Maintain accurate supporter data, preferences, and interactions in Salesforce CRM.

• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer, Data & CRM Officer, and Gifts in Wills Officer to nurture relationships and move supporters through their journey, ensuring that every member feels appreciated and connected to our mission.

• Support the Marketing and Communications team with occasional wider projects, such as campaigns, virtual or in-person events, or member engagement initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate and member-focused, with a genuine desire to make every interaction count.

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

• Confident and professional on the phone and in written communication.

• Comfortable with outbound calling — experience in telephone fundraising or supporter upgrade calling is desirable.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable with technology, ideally with some experience using CRMs (Salesforce experience is a bonus).

• Experienced in supporter care, customer service, or a similar role (desirable but not essential).

• Aligned with AWIP’s mission, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and, ideally, a cruelty-free lifestyle.

• Able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Key Details

• Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Salary: £11,885.71 pro-rata (£26,000 FTE)

• Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for a permanent role

• Location: Remote (must be based in the UK)

• Additional hours: May be available for outbound campaigns, depending on business needs

We are looking for someone who:

This assignment will be fulfilled at 30 hours per week across Monday–Thursday. The successful applicant will be required to visit the charity's Twickenham office at a minimum of once per week.

Fowler’s Syndrome UK (FSUK) is the only charity in the world dedicated to women (and afab) with Fowler’s Syndrome or Chronic Idiopathic Urinary Retention; a life-changing and poorly understood bladder condition that causes full or partial urinary retention.

The CEO is looking to appoint a highly organised, pragmatic, and detail-focused professional to deliver executive, project and governance support on an initial fixed-term contract of 1 year.

In this vital role, you will harness your initiative as you provide proactive PA support to the CEO and Chairs of the medical and trustee boards, while delivering project and event coordination across FSUK’s core programmes.

Excitingly, alongside executive and governance administration and support and ensuring that the charity maintains the highest standards of compliance and record-keeping, you will also be responsible for project management of two major initiatives such as FSUK’s flagship CURATE consensus project, alongside their annual two-day conference. From coordinating clinicians and steering groups, to managing logistics, guest travel, supplier liaison, and on-the-day delivery, you’ll ensure these complex projects run efficiently. You will also assist with grant applications, research activity, and the production of project trackers and reports.

Are you inspired by the prospect of coordinating projects and events, and do you flourish when responsible for a broad portfolio of work?

Being exceptionally well-organised, confident in managing multiple priorities, and able to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders is crucial for the success of this post. You’ll need to have excellent project management, written skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the discretion to handle sensitive information. Experience with grant applications, safeguarding, or working in a charity, healthcare, or academic setting would be advantageous, though not essential.

Lived experience of Fowler’s Syndrome is not essential but would be a welcome bonus!
