The two regional roles currently available are fundamental to the delivery of the third phase of the Seed Sovereignty Programme across southern and western England.
Working alongside the north east based England Lead, each role involves supporting seed networks across a dedicated region (southern or west of England- see regional map) through training, mentoring, and routes to market, as well as engaging with a range of groups and individuals through events, workshops and talks. The role involves collaborating with the rest of the Seed Sovereignty Programme team remotely to share best practices and develop the delivery of the work nationally.
Key Responsibilities for the role:
Seed knowledge: Understanding agroecology, small-scale seed production, seed sovereignty, and open-pollinated varieties.
· Has a good understanding of seed saving and agroecological seed systems.
· Supports outreach and communications to share knowledge on seed saving and agroecological seed systems.
· Assists in the identification and development of new regional opportunities.
Collaboration: Building strong, respectful relationships.
· Works closely with the Regional Leads and Coordinators through team meetings, working groups and collaborative projects to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
· Is the “go to” person for enquiries regarding activities within the region.
· Builds and maintains strong relationships with regional network partners.
· Develops new collaborations opportunities within the network and beyond it where strategically appropriate.
Training & Facilitation: delivering training sessions (in-person and online) for diverse groups.
· Supports the design, organisation, and delivery of training sessions and workshops (both in-person and online) for diverse participants at a range of levels.
· Assists with the coordination of regional training logistics and participant engagement.
Project Coordination: supporting events, and multi-stakeholder projects across regions.
· Works with the Programme team to deliver the bi-annual Seed Gathering and Seed TV webinars.
· Actively takes part in regional initiatives such as variety trials, mentoring programmes, seed production projects, and collaborative networking events.
· Liases with partners and participants to track progress and maintain project momentum.
Monitoring & Reporting: Collecting and presenting data.
· Monitor and track progress for the region in order to inform learning, evaluate success and report to funders.
Communication
· Confident with social media, websites and online working platforms in order to communicate the work and engage with the network effectively.
· A confident writer who can capture and express stories from the work and network in a variety of mediums, from blogs to social media posts to narrative funding reports.

About the team
Our Property and Facilities team is responsible for ensuring Shelter’s estate is fit for purpose and fully compliant for its staff, volunteers and clients. We provide a full range of professional services, including acquisitions, disposals, rent and lease negotiations, rating, estates management, building surveying, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, health & safety and facilities management. We also support all office and shop relocations, refurbishments and planned maintenance projects, while our portfolio comprises one freehold head office property in London, 24 leasehold offices and around 90 leasehold shops across England and Scotland.
About the role
You will be responsible for all property related matters across Scotland and England for our diverse portfolio. That will involve making regular site visits, with occasional overnight stays. As well as ensuring all lease events are managed and actioned and properties are safe, maintained and fully compliant, we’ll also rely on you to assist with the development and implementation of robust policies, processes and systems to help manage the estate in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In short, it’s an incredibly varied role that will see you make a real difference in how Shelter’s commercial estate is managed.

Role Specifics
You’ll need a degree level qualification in a surveying/property related discipline and full RICS membership. You’ll also need a good understanding of the planning process and building regulations approval system. The confidence to lead and manage multiple projects effectively and ensure they’re delivered on time and on budget, from inception to completion, is important too. Self-motivated, capable of working both unsupervised and as part of a team, and with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, providing solutions, giving sound property advice and negotiating effectively with a variety of key stakeholders comes naturally to you. What’s more, you have good computer literacy skills and are comfortable working with spreadsheets and data.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Engaging Communities Officer to join our exciting Sherwood’s Living Legends project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The Role:
- Lead the community-focused development of Sherwood’s Living Legends, shaping how people connect with the cultural, historical and ecological significance of ancient and veteran trees.
- Co-create imaginative engagement approaches with consultants, using storytelling, heritage and local myth to inspire urban and rural communities.
- Define target audiences and craft compelling key messages that will underpin the project’s delivery-stage communications.
- Promote the project across the Sherwood NCA through social media, local press, PR events and creative outreach activity.

YOUR PURPOSE
To research, develop and secure funding, projects and opportunities that deliver DMWS’s charitable objectives and to support ongoing stakeholder management to ensure positive relationships.
This involves researching and applying for funding and contract tender opportunities to support the armed forces community and other frontline services. This will include Trusts and Foundations, corporate partnerships and tenders with organisations that include the military, police, NHS, Fire service and other organisations with frontline roles.
The aim is to secure funds and opportunities to support DMWS beneficiaries and to increase DMWS footprint.
The role will also require report writing to present evidence of DMWS delivering effective value for money and positive impacts for our beneficiaries in line with the funder’s requirements. An ability to also promote our outcomes through case studies and social media posts would also be advantageous.
Travel will be required and some occasional overnights stays can be required.

This role does not come with a company vehicle, however after a 9-month period in-post, we will review vehicle business use to see if the post-holder is reaching the eligibility criteria as stated in our Company Vehicle Policy. - Develop and test robust survey methodologies for AVTs, next-generation trees and successional deadwood habitats at scale.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with project partners, landowners and stakeholders to support the development of the NLHF (National Lottery Heritage Fund) project.
- Plan and deliver meaningful landowner consultations, ensuring clear communication and high-quality engagement.
- Shape the project’s technical direction by identifying gaps in current knowledge, proposing innovative survey approaches, and helping define the evidence base for future landscape-scale interventions.
- Coordinate information flow across partners, ensuring insights, datasets and field findings are shared, aligned and feeding directly into project design.
- Generate interest and participation in AVT training and wider project initiatives, identifying opportunities for large-scale partnership working.
- Represent the project at meetings, forums and events, sharing best practice and linking activity with wider Woodland Trust and partner programmes.
The Candidate:
- Strong biological recording skills with proven experience surveying ancient and veteran trees and/or associated species.
- Proficient in GIS mapping and spatial analysis, with the ability to manage, interpret and consolidate complex datasets.
- Knowledge of AVT ecology, identification, and the threats facing these irreplaceable habitats.
- Experience advising landowners within woodland conservation, arboriculture or forestry, including familiarity with land management grants and agri-environment schemes.
- Skilled communicator, confident in written, verbal and public-facing settings, able to represent the organisation professionally.

The Role
The Volunteer Recruitment Officer will lead structured volunteer growth and engagement across REMAP’s national branch network. Job summary
This role will increase awareness and understanding of the criminal justice voluntary sector operating within across the Midlands area. The post holder will undertake an initial analysis project to identify place-based voluntary sector organisations and the range of, and types of services and support provided to people in contact with the criminal justice system and their families. They will identify place-based needs and lead on the collation and sharing of information across the Clinks team and with stakeholders, to highlight the challenges and opportunities. The post holder will need to build new, and nurture existing relationships, with key partners and a range of agencies across sectors.
The post will work within the Area Engagement & Partnerships Directorate and with other Clinks’ staff to identify new members and engagement opportunities, deliver events and training, and provide opportunities to support the capacity and capability needs of the voluntary sector, with a focus on place-based small and specialist organisations working in the CJS.

Area Engagement and Impact
- Identify and increase awareness of voluntary sector organisations based in the Midlands, the range of and types of services and support provided to people in contact with the criminal justice system and their families, where they deliver and how they are funded.
- Understand the work of local and regional voluntary sector infrastructure organisations in a geographical area to identify and increase partnership working and collaborative approaches to strengthen the support offered by Clinks,
- Gather intelligence from the sector to identify and understand the needs of place-based organisations and share feedback with HMPPS and other key stakeholders to develop operational processes and influence future commissioning opportunities.
- Work alongside the National Influencing & Networks team to use this intelligence to influence key decision making at a local and national level.
- Provide support to voluntary sector organisations, keeping the sector informed and up to date and capturing the support provided and its impact.
- Respond to requests from voluntary sector organisations in need of support and signpost or consider what assistance Clinks (and others) can provide.

Youth Focus West Midlands (YFWM) is looking for a Regional Development Lead to work as part of the Network of Regional Youth Work Units to build an inclusive and equitable approach to youth voice and youth engagement, ensuring the most marginalised and under-represented young people have their voices heard and acted upon across the UK.
The Development Lead will manage the Amplify funded programme of work across the region. This role requires using data and insight to help deliver the Legacy marketing programme, whilst also supporting the day-to-day Legacy and estate administration, dealing with solicitors, legal representatives and executors.
