About the role
There is plenty of variety in this role and as Fundraising Manager you will lead on the development and delivery of plans in Wales and the South-West (primarily Bristol and the surrounding area) to identify opportunities to engage with all types of supporters, both existing and new to generate income.
Across the year you will manage our existing charity of the year partnerships with businesses and community groups as well as applying for new ones. You will market our places in the Cardiff & Swansea festivals of running, supporting our participants to meet their sponsorship targets. And you’ll submit applications to trusts and philanthropists in your region.
Hours: 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri including occasional evenings and weekends)
Location: Crisis Skylight South Wales, 163 St Helen’s Rd, Swansea, SA1 4DQ but with home working as an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working Policy. There will an expectation to travel within the region to meet supporters regularly and to different Crisis Skylights once a quarter for team meetings.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll already know how to build a pipeline of potential opportunities, engage with prospects including businesses, philanthropists, trusts, communities, and event participants to hit ambitious but achievable fundraising targets.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous experience and an understanding of fundraising in a nation or region and across different income streams. An excellent collaborator you will use your knowledge of how to create a geographically specific case for support to work with colleagues to raise Crisis’ profile in Wales.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. We offer this support through our network of over 300 dedicated volunteers who are themselves bereaved parents or siblings. We are now seeking an Events & Community Fundraiser to join our small, but dedicated and hardworking, staff team to help us to develop our funding to continue our vital work. In this exciting and diverse role, you will be leading on the recruitment and stewardship of individual fundraisers and fundraising groups undertaking challenge events, digital fundraising and other community fundraising initiatives.
Just some of the activities you will be working on include:

This role is for you if you have experience or transferable skills around planning, organising and delivering fundraising campaigns and activities, proven experience or skills in delivering income growth in an events and/or community fundraising setting and knowledge of online fundraising tools, digital marketing and social media.. If you are a proactive self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative and as part of a small team, highly numerate and well organised, an excellent communicator with persuasive, engaging and creative writing skills, and a passion and motivation to raise money to support bereaved parents and their families, then we would be delighted to receive your application.

Role Overview:
The post-holder will be working closely with other members of the Fundraising Department to gain exposure for the charity and the fundraising campaigns run throughout the year.
The Events and Volunteer team is essential to the growth of Muslim Hands both in raising awareness via our events which host thousands of people throughout the year, increasing awareness of our work and generating donations. The post-holder’s role will be central in expanding this and helping further the reach of Muslim Hands.
Main Responsibilities:
• To be the first point of contact for enquires in volunteering and events for post-holder’s local area.

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

- Overall responsibility for the meetings and events programme meeting its financial and other goals and KPIs under the existing strategy

- Facilitating the in-person and online volunteer coaching team to deliver student coaching sessions. As well as delivering coaching sessions to students, where required;
- Developing business and charity partnerships for day trips;
- Planning and delivering the day trips included in the programme;
- Supporting the planning and delivery of the Into the Wild residentials;
- Implementing discipline procedures, including reporting serious discipline issues;
- Implementing all necessary Health and Safety and Child Protection procedures, including recording and reporting any incidents;
- Ongoing communication with the school and Yes Futures head office regarding student engagement and progress.
Organisation and administration
- School onboarding, including ensuring that dates are planned, students are recruited and parental agreements are returned;
- Planning and organising the logistical elements of the programme (timetables, activities, sessions plans etc) through liaising with Yes Futures head office, school staff, businesses, charitable organisations and the rest of the Coaching team;
- Creation of Risk Assessments, parent letters and programme-related documents for schools;
- Sourcing materials needed for programme sessions, including lunches for trips;
- Assisting with finance and petty cash where required.
Management of volunteer Yes Futures Coaches
- Managing and developing the skills of your Coaching teams (usually 2-6 adults per school);
- Ongoing communication with your Coaching teams, to foster their enthusiasm and commitment;
- Supporting Coach recruitment for future programmes;
- Supporting the planning and delivery of training for Coaches;
- Maintaining accurate and secure records of Coaches’ personal information, absences, sickness and other relevant information.
Evaluation and reporting
- Facilitating the pre-, mid- and end of programme evaluations;
- Oversight and input of key student monitoring data and impact data;
- Debriefing and ongoing feedback collection from schools and Coaches;
- Ensure all work is carried out in an effective and timely manner to support continued high standards of the Yes Futures programmes.
Programme Managers will also be given the opportunity to support with other Head Office functions, including but not limited to:
- Strengthening our strategy, programme design and theory of change;
- Supporting the marketing of Yes Futures to new schools and customers;
- Developing our fundraising strategy through bid writing and other fundraising tasks;
- Establishing relationships with key partner organisations;
- Planning our future Ambassador offer and other pilot programmes.

The Information Events Coordinator will deliver our information events programme consisting of face-to-face and online events hosted by the team and held throughout the UK, developing the strategy for the programme and implementing event activity with the aim to increase participation and attendance.
You’ll be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of the events, including marketing and promotion, as well as logistics and resourcing. You’ll be required to attend several weekend events throughout the year so should be able to travel across the UK as needed.
