Role Details

At the heart of this Director of Parnterships & Growth role is the opportunity to shape the external environment for employee ownership, champion the voice of our members, and lead high-impact strategies that grow both our reach and the sector itself.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead external affairs, collaborating with stakeholders to shape policy, advocacy and best practice that removes barriers and expands EO.
• Establish relationships and secure commercial partnerships and sponsorships, generating revenue to support advocacy, events, and sector growth initiatives.
• Engage key stakeholders to co-produce content that positively influence EO practice and policy and amplify the eoa’s voice in public affairs.
• Oversee delivery of an effective content strategy that delivers our commercial objectives and positions the eoa as the leading EO authority.

The Marketing & Communications Manager is a brand-new position which will sit on the Museum’s Management Board and be involved in site-wide decision making and realising the aims of the Trusts.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a background in marketing and communications to help us engage with new audiences, raise visibility and generate footfall and income. This position is ideal for someone ready to take the next step into a managerial role, or an experienced professional seeking a new challenge.

Working with all members of the museum team the post holder will provide support to make sure everyone’s marketing needs are met and that Exhibitions and Learning activities are properly promoted. As a new paid position this is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on the role.

Overall Purpose

• To manage the development and delivery of the HRM Marketing & Communications Strategy
• To develop a comprehensive marketing plan covering all areas of the Museum’s activity (including Exhibitions, Learning, Retail)
• To engage and develop new and current audiences, ensuring that messaging is relevant and accurate and making sure that all areas of the Museum are appropriately represented.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy, insight and evaluation

• Work with the Evaluation Team to gain visitor insight data that can be fed into the marketing strategy for the museum
• Deliver, with support from trustees, the marketing and communications strategy, including branding, managing social accounts, distribution and display of print marketing and creating newsletters
• Manage, deliver and monitor engaging integrated and audience-led marketing campaigns and communications that grow visitor numbers and revenue for the museum
• Support the development of business strategies, understanding the key objectives of the organisation and all activity being undertaken
• Report regularly on marketing activity across all channels, including collating press coverage, reviewing website data, social media reach and make recommendations for improvements and implement where necessary.

Press, print and design

• Develop and maintain relationships with press organisations and freelancers to distribute exhibition press releases as appropriate
• Provide regular listings to media and listing platforms, locally and regionally
• Manage design work ensuring brand and communication cohesion across campaigns.
• Prepare and supervise the production (with external suppliers where necessary) of promotional communications to include design and print of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photography.
• Work with colleagues to support promotion of Exhibition and Learning programmes and enhance visibility of the museum through signage and wayfinding.

Digital (website, social media, e-newsletters)

• Oversee the creation and implementation of all HRM digital content, covering website, social media and email marketing; ensuring engaging and accessible copy, correct data management, and monitoring and responding to customer enquiries, where applicable.
• Work with colleagues in Retail, Learning and Exhibitions to ensure effective promotion of activities across digital platforms.
• Stay up to date on digital trends and ensure the museum is making the most of opportunities for digital engagement.

Other

• Manage a small team of marketing volunteers and chair regular meetings of the Marketing Committee.
• Attend monthly Management Board meetings (currently hybrid) and contribute to regular team meetings.
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to understand and support their marketing and communications needs.

Other Information

• Annual leave entitlement is 28 days, pro-rata, including Bank Holidays, taken by mutual agreement with the Museum Manager.
• The post holder is expected to work in the office 2 days a week and can work remotely 1 day a week.

About the vacancy

In this role, you will support a steering group of volunteer parents and carers who oversee the running of the Forums.  Your excellent organisational skills will ensure parents and carers have a voice at key local meetings, plus you will arrange monthly events for parents and carers such as workshops with key local decision-makers.  You will provide opportunities for parents and carers to develop their own networks of support through WhatsApp & social media, and oversee the publication of bi-annual newsletter. Each year, you will use your analytical skills to measure the impact the Forum is having on the lives of its members and recommend areas for development to the steering group, always seeking to improve the service and reach more families.  

You will line-manage a Forum Administrator who will support you and the work of the Forums. 

This important role forms part of our charity’s strategic offer to local parents and carers.  You will join our senior team plus you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the wider work of the charity such as by attending fun community fundraising activities, working with our partners, and enjoying our social events.

You will receive our mandatory training in safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality, equal opportunities & diversity and mental health, plus more technical training including risk assessment and first aid.

JOB TITLE: Public Affairs Manager

REPORTS TO: Head of Social Impact

RESPONSIBLE FOR: n/a

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS OF WORK: Such hours as are necessary to fulfil the duties. This will involve a minimum of 35 hours per week and include work in evenings and weekends as required.

LOCATION: Hybrid of London office and home based.  ParalympicsGB Office: 101 New Cavendish Street, W1W 6XH. Travel may also be required in the UK and abroad as necessary.

JOB PURPOSE: The Public Affairs Manager will manage the implementation of ParalympicsGB’s policy & public affairs strategy, including managing a targeted contact programme with politicians, civil servants and stakeholder organisations. The role will also play a key role in supporting the organisation’s approach to influencing public policy in sport, disability and education and deliver Games’ time guest programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement

• Manage the implementation of the public affairs strategy, with support from the Head of Social Impact and Director of Communications & Social Impact, reporting back to the Senior Leadership Group on the outcomes achieved.
• Work with the CEO, Director of Communications & Social Impact and Head of Social Impact to implement a stakeholder engagement plan building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholder such as politicians, Government departments, ParalympicsGB’s members, sport and disability organisations, and the education sector.
• Coordinate ParalympicsGB colleagues to execute a contact programme with relevant stakeholders including Government Ministers, MPs and Peers, Civil Servants and Stakeholder organisations from ParalympicsGB’s membership and the wider sport, education and disability sectors.
• Monitor and analyse upcoming relevant policy and legislative developments and activities and identify opportunities for influence including drafting responses to parliamentary, government and other consultations.
• Represent ParalympicsGB externally to raise awareness and strengthen our reputation with key policy makers, decision-makers, and relevant public affairs networks. Reporting back to colleagues on the content of meetings and arranging follow-ups as appropriate.
• Prepare high-quality briefing materials for political audiences and senior internal stakeholders to support influencing priorities.
• Organise and support delivery of a series of Westminster based events and activations to support our Public Affairs strategy, including events to raise awareness of ParalympicsGB’s relevant social impact programmes e.g. Equal Play and Community Sport initiatives.
• Contribute to stakeholder engagement around the promotion of Stoke Mandeville as the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement.
• Administer the Paralympic Games guest programme for Government Ministers, Royal Patron and key stakeholders linked to social impact and international relations.

Policy

• Lead the coordination of ParalympicsGB responses to relevant Government consultations and other stakeholder responses.
• Lead the research, manage consultation with key stakeholders, and draft policy papers with regards development of ParalympicsGB’s policy papers in line with the social impact strategy, particularly around education (Equal Play), community sport, and disability.

Social Impact

• Work with the Social Impact team on communicating public affairs opportunities to our athletes (as part of the ParalympicsGB Athlete Community) and connecting social impact programmes to political opportunities.

Correspondence, Planning and Databases

• Draft correspondence with key contacts on behalf of the organisation.
• Develop and manage parliamentary and stakeholder contact management database.
• Provide administrative support to the Communications team as required.

The role will suit a candidate with a sound understanding and experience of the breadth of dietetic practice and research, and the factors that influence it. We are looking for somebody who is an expert in research methodologies, and appraisal and is comfortable setting and influencing research strategy.  Ideally we would like somebody who has or is studying for their doctorate in dietetics and experience working in a practice setting would be advantageous. This is a senior internal and external facing role working alongside the Director of Education Practice and Research, and the Education and Practice Managers. The candidate will enjoy supporting colleagues and members to engage and deliver research related projects, and demonstrate impact through evidence-based practice.

As Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Nottingham Contemporary's ambitious development strategy to increase income, in collaboration with the Senior Development Manager who holds the overall responsibility for targets and strategy. Ensuring excellent stewardship of all supporters and a strong pipeline of donors and funders will be essential.

You will work with the Senior Development Manager to lead on and maximise income from trusts and foundations in particular, in support of Nottingham Contemporary’s core programme.

Main Accountabilities

• Hold oversight of the trust and foundation pipelines and work collaboratively with the Senior Development Manager, Director and programmers to develop and align cultivation strategies and asks
• Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for trusts and foundations
• Research and lead on writing compelling applications with strong cases for support to trusts and foundations to secure grants in support of the organisation’s goals
• Prepare timely project report templates and reports on the outcomes of donor and funder support
• Support the Senior Development Manager with ongoing prospect research
• Lead on the identification and cultivation of appropriate corporate sponsors, devising carefully tailored and convincing proposals to secure additional funding
• Support with the delivery of a creative programme of cultivation and stewardship events for donors, funders and prospects
• Represent Nottingham Contemporary at internal and external private views, previews, meetings and events

The Person

We're looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to write compelling cases for support. The ideal candidate will be innovative, pro-active and able to adapt easily as a creative problem-solver. You’ll have a track record in fundraising or relationship management in the not for profit, cultural or other relevant sectors, in particular with trusts and foundations. You’ll have the ability to manage a busy workload to meet agreed deadlines, and your excellent organisational and project management skills will come in handy when organising a range of cultivation and stewardship events for donors, funders and prospects.

ULI Europe requires an experienced, highly-organised individual to work closely with the CEO of ULI Europe, Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust, Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer and VP of Business Development and Membership to administer and support the growth of ULI’s philanthropic fundraising work in Europe.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe.

 The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer.

This position requires excellent organisational, administrative, and stakeholder management skills, particularly within the charity or philanthropic sector.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, donation tracking, gift processing, and donor stewardship in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US. 
• Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
• Collaborate closely with the ULI Europe Business Development and Membership team, ULI’s country directors, and the governance director to support the planning and implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy set by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee.
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors,, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;
• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies;
• Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
• Develop and manage internal processes for grant compliance, application tracking, reporting, and gift acknowledgement for ULI Europe.

What you will be doing:
