About the team

Part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, this role reports directly to the Strategic Partnerships Director and works closely with philanthropy teams across the federation (particularly those in the UK and US), with programmes colleagues across the UK and Nepal and with the UK Communications department, to deliver first class donor engagement.

As our Senior Manager for Philanthropy Products, you will engage and inspire philanthropists through a new high-value proposition. • Lead this initiative - driving progress, ensuring global coordination and overseeing the global funding pipeline.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and creating tailored, impactful content.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced videographer and photographer, with strong technical skills, to join our small but ambitious creative team. You’ll have a good understanding of how to capture stories and share voices in a creative and powerful way, while being able to take projects from concept to completion.

You’ll be motivated, driven and passionate about capturing the voices of children and young people with cancer and the work that we do at Young Lives vs Cancer. No two days will look the same, from photographing a fundraising event to capturing an interview with a family at one of our Homes from Home. We’re looking for someone who can make the most of any opportunity to gather content which could be used across social media, our website, in presentations and pitches or in printed materials.

The role-holder will also take responsibility for keeping our content library up to date and gathering and recording consent as they go. We need someone who is highly organised and able to manage their own time and diary – this is a varied and busy role which will work with many teams across the organisation.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Working with the Brand and Creative Manager on incoming briefs from across the organisation and deliver creative solutions which fulfil objectives and consider audience
• Storyboarding and co-ordinating shoots while always prioritising the voices of children and young people with cancer and their families 
• Creating a wide range of high-quality audio and visual content that meets the needs of the organisation and harnesses the power of voice and storytelling 
• Supporting the social media team with regular post-production work on user-generated content for TikTok and Instagram (for example, editing, adding captions etc.) 
• Adhering to our brand guidelines and support the Brand and Creative Manager in continuing to evolve and apply our visual identity and tone of voice work to photography and videography projects

The Training Lead - Projects & DFTP (Digital First Transformation Programme) will design, develop and deliver training strategies and plans that successfully support and empower stakeholders to adopt new systems, products, processes and ways of working that align to the MHFA England strategy. The postholder will provide business partnering support to all directorates, working with directors, strategic leads, business SMEs and external stakeholders to identify training needs that will lead to high levels of change readiness and adoption. The central focus will be the implementation of MHFA England’s Digital First Transformation Programme.

The role will be involved in producing and analysing data to inform and feed into the People team strategy, especially for the first three months. Working closely with the Head of People, Wellbeing & Equity and the wider People team and covering for each other as needed, this role will lead on allocated projects pertaining to organisational and individual learning. Salary

£35,500 per annum FTE (£28,400 pro rata). This will rise to £36,400 per annum FTE (£29,120 pro rata) from 1st September 2025.

London based candidates will also receive £2,600 London contribution (pro rata). The pro-rated amount is £2,080. This will rise to £2,700 (pro rata) from 1st September 2025. The pro-rated amount will be £2,160.

Annual leave 

Full-time staff entitlement, pro-rated for part-time staff: 33 days (inc bank & public holidays) + 3 closure days (two in December and one in July) + additional length of service entitlement (one day per year of service, up to 5 days) 

In order to be eligible for the role, applicants must:

• Have achieved a grade C/ grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Have previous experience of working with children or young people in a safeguarding capacity.
• Have a secure knowledge of key legislation and statutory guidance on safeguarding and promoting the  welfare of children.

Job Purpose

The role is home working, however the team collectively cover England and Wales, so the ability to travel with occasional overnight stays is vital.

• Responsible for development and management of a cohort of lived experience volunteers
• Triaging and Risk Assessing clients as they are referred into the service

About the role:

You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse.

• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
• Be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.

We have an exciting opportunity within our Communications Team on a part time basis for a Media and Communications Officer.   This post is for a one-year fixed term contract.

 The Down’s Syndrome Association is the only organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focusing solely on all aspects of living successfully with Down’s syndrome. The Down’s Syndrome Association aims to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

The successful candidate will cover the whole spectrum of duties in relation to media and communication areas and needs to be able to think strategically and work operationally. You will lead the development of our media strategy, build and maintain a strong media contracts database and nurture relations both online and across other offline platforms.  Your work will amplify the voices of people who have Down’s syndrome and help shape public understanding through inclusive and impactful storytelling.

We are looking for candidates with at least three years proven experience in either media relations, journalism or communications.  An understanding of the key ingredients of success in developing relationships with local and national media engagement, as well as managing performance in line with budgets are also essential.

A valid UK driver’s licence is essential, as well as a willingness to be flexible about hours and location of work as there may be some occasional travel in UK with overnight stays as required. The post-holder will also be DBS checked.
