Job description

We're looking for someone who can strategically lead, implement, and develop the Breast Cancer UK Individual Fundraising programme to acquire new financial supporters through delivering excellent supporter experiences, deepening our relationships with our existing audiences, and building long-term income.

This is a new role in our growing team, and you will strategically lead, implement, and develop the Breast Cancer UK Individual Fundraising programme to acquire new financial supporters through delivering excellent supporter experiences, deepening our relationships with our existing audiences, and building long-term income. 

BCUK is a growing organisation and therefore you will need to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues across the organisation. The role is responsible for the management of two roles – Individual Giving Officer and Community and Events Officer and as a team you’ll lead all our mass fundraising activity. 

You will need to be self-driven, highly creative and organised. You will have an excellent knowledge of different fundraising techniques, with a particular focus on digital acquisition and engagement to help build trust and long term support for BCUK.  You will need to be self-driven, have a good sense of judgement and an interest in public health and cancer prevention.

About you: 

You will be a highly motivated individual with experience of working in a growing charity ideally you’ll bring the following skills -

  • Demonstrable experience and success in leading and managing an Individual Giving team across a range of marketing channels with a focus on digital marketing. 

  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of audience and donor segmentation, analytical modelling such as LTV and use of insight to drive strategy and performance. 

  • Proven people management experience and expertise. 

  • High level of numerical, business planning, monitoring, and budgeting control skills. 

  • Ability to prioritise, manage and coordinate multiple projects and multi-disciplined team to deliver to tight deadlines. 

  • Understanding of legal data governance issues and obligations around Data Protection legislation. 

  • Ability to manage and develop effective working relationships with people at all levels internally and externally.
