Ref 7067

Save the Children UK is seeking a Government & Multilateral Partnership Manager to join our Partnerships for Impact department. We are looking for someone with a passion for building strategic partnerships that drive lasting change for children, and with experience managing complex relationships with governments and multilateral donors.

This role is central to shaping and delivering high-value partnerships that align with our global strategy and support impactful, sustainable programmes. Working closely with teams across Save the Children UK, the wider movement, and external partners, the successful candidate will help secure funding, influence systems, and contribute to long-term positive outcomes for children around the world.

About Us

Save the Children UK believes every child deserves a future. In the UK and around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.  When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave.  We ensure children's unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.

About the Function/Team:

Through our Partnerships for Impact function, we catalyse positive change for children by partnering with governments, institutions multilaterals and the private sector. We secure flexible and restricted humanitarian and development funding for an impact focused portfolio, leverage partner expertise to design solutions for systemic change to advance children's rights and keep them safe, healthy and learning.

We focus on building sustainable partnerships for transformative programmes, promoting equitable solutions, amplifying the voices of children most affected by inequality, and prioritise locally led efforts for lasting change. Our balanced and impact focused portfolio of partners helps us catalyse impact by supporting the strategic priorities of our Country Offices and working in equitable partnerships with local partners to build evidence to influence and share knowledge for long term sustainable change.

 About the role

The Government and Multilateral Partnership Manager is responsible for the development and management of key partnerships in the portfolio, ensuring high quality income is secured and that partnerships deliver on our impact goals. It leads on all elements of relationship management and communication with key partner stakeholders. It also has oversight of compliance and risks associated with each partnership. This role will work closely with teams across Global Impact, SCI, Country Offices and other Members to ensure opportunities to maximise the impact of each partnership are identified and delivered.

The role may work in multi-disciplinary teams with colleagues to support closer connections to our Country Offices and our Outcomes for Children aims. This role will be adaptable and ready to support impactful partner opportunities where needed across the Global Partnerships team

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the development and management of partnerships, ensuring high-quality income generation and alignment with impact goals.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, reporting, and tracking of financial information to maximise partnership value and impact.

• Working with the Portfolio and Risk team, oversee compliance and mitigate risks to ensure sustainable partnership operations.

• Collaborating with teams across Global Impact, SCI, Country Offices, and Members to identify and deliver opportunities that enhance the impact of partnerships.

• Engaging in multi-disciplinary teams where relevant to grow close connections with Country Offices and drive impactful partnership opportunities.

• Providing support to other areas within the Global Partnerships team to contribute to impactful partner opportunities as needed.

• Taking ownership of global account management responsibilities, expanding beyond SCUK, to support the Movement.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

• Strong expertise in partnership development and management, with a proven ability to secure high-quality income and align partnerships with organizational goals.

• Comprehensive knowledge of compliance requirements and risk mitigation strategies for managing sustainable partnerships.

• Proficient in financial tracking, reporting, and analysing data to maximize partnership value and impact.

• Skilled in building and maintaining effective communication channels with key stakeholders, including government and multilateral partners.

• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across global networks to identify and deliver impactful opportunities.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

• Adaptability and responsiveness to dynamic partnership needs and organizational priorities.

• Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative approach to driving impactful outcomes.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to influence and inspire internal and external audiences.

• High level of organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Please note: To avoid disappointment, you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible as we reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a high volume of applications are received. This is to ensure that we can manage application levels whilst maintaining a positive candidate experience. Unfortunately once a vacancy has closed, we are unable to consider further applications.

Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.

Flexible Working - We are happy to discuss flexible working options at interview.

Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:

Save the Children UK believes in a world that is fair, inclusive and equitable where all children have the opportunity to change their world. We apply this to our workforce and we are committed to developing and supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organisation where all employees have a sense of belonging and feel that they can be "Free to Be Me". We are not looking for just one type of person - we want to recruit people who can add fresh perspectives, innovative ideas or challenge that disrupts the risk of group think.

We are especially interested in people whose childhood experiences - of life on a low income, of migration, of being in a racialised community, of the care system, of being LGBT+ or in an LGBT+ family or living with (or with someone with) a disability - help us to see things we might otherwise miss. Whatever your story is we want to hear it because we know that different voices, ideas, perspectives and knowledge, working together will enable us to better the lives of children around the world. This is the reason why we are all here.
