An exciting opportunity to lead communications and marketing at Action Syria. Through your work, you will help us ensure Syrian communities have the education and medical care they need, every day, and when emergencies strike – this is critical as Syia begins to rebuild following the fall of Assad in late 2024. Action Syria has over a decade of experience working with local partners in the Middle East making a positive difference to over 25,000 people affected by conflict, displacement and natural disaster annually. Working closely with the CEO and the fundraising team, you will be responsible for delivering our Communications & Marketing strategy, making sure it integrates with our fundraising strategy, and critically, considers the broader vision for expanding our audience. Responsibilities
1. Lead the Communications and Marketing function and strategy:
- Review and refine our Communications & Marketing strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose and responsive to the new chapter unfolding in Syria, positioning us as a leading voice among charities engaging in the region;
- Work with Head of Development to ensure the C&M strategy integrates with our fundraising strategy, driving impact, building trust, and ensuring sustainability; and
- Set targets and milestones for the C&M Strategy to measure progress against.
2. Manage our annual communications plan:
- Produce engaging and meaningful content for communications and marketing purposes, including copy and graphics
- Write and publish key communications throughout the year, e.g. blog posts and newsletters (Mailchimp) to maintain a strong profile and grow our support base;
- Manage social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, scheduling regular, high-quality posts, and managing Meta Ads, to engage existing and new audiences;
- Create engaging digital content, with input from the team on messaging and purpose, to raise Action Syria’s profile and support our fundraising and marketing campaigns;
- Work with the fundraising function on Action Syria’s digital fundraising strategy, with a focus on optimising donor journeys; and
- Support the team with asset design for fundraising campaigns where required.
3. Act as guardian of Action Syria’s brand, ensuring it is fit for purpose:
- Develop comprehensive brand guidelines, in line with our recent rebrand; and
- Ensure website is current, appropriate and enables us to reach strategic and fundraising goals.
4. Develop strategic engagement with media:
- Build on press list and cultivate relationships to enhance Action Syria’s profile
Essential

JOB PURPOSE
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised operations professional to play a key role in strengthening the systems, processes and projects that will underpin our 10-year ambition. The Fundraising Operations Officer will help drive improvements in how the Fundraising team manages data, reporting and income tracking. The role supports the smooth running of Fundraising operations by improving and maintaining systems, processes and administrative functions, ensuring the global team runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a newly established role that will offer hands-on experience in project coordination, risk escalation and CRM management, and will support you to develop technical and strategic skills in an international fundraising environment. KEY OBJECTIVES
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day Fundraising operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g. GDPR and IATI, across all relevant jurisdictions
- When needed, coordinate process improvement initiatives that support Fundraising delivery and create efficiencies, ensuring they work alongside those already used within Lumos
- Manage back-office functions for recruitment, inductions of new starters in the Fundraising team, and management of contractors and other suppliers as appropriate
- Provide operational support for events, including managing guest lists, monitoring expenditure, helping with venue logistics and on-the-day activities
- Help maintain and improve internal systems and team documentation (e.g., on SharePoint)
- Support the drafting of Fundraising policies, procedures and systems used by the organisation
- Maintain records of Gift Aid declarations and support the quarterly claims process
Salesforce Administration
- Act as our day-to-day administrator for our Salesforce database
- Manage the process of recording and reporting on information from Salesforce, maintaining accurate donor and income data, and ensuring up-to-date and consistent record keeping
- Take the lead on running selections and reports to support fundraising activity
- As needed, provide basic training and guidance about Salesforce for the team
- Work with the Finance team to reconcile donations recorded on Salesforce with their records
Information Management
- Support the Director of Fundraising with financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to inform key strategic decisions.
- Deliver accurate and timely income and activity reporting to key stakeholders, including the Chief Executive, Trustees and the Fundraising Committee and to share with external agencies such as the Fundraising Regulator.
- Maintain the risk register, ensuring it reflects activity and can be used as a tool by the Director of Fundraising and Chief Executive
Fundraising Support
- Provide administrative and coordination support for fundraising campaigns, appeals and events
- Assist with donor stewardship, including thank-you letters and donor communications
- Respond to enquiries via the Fundraising inbox, social media or post
- Support scheduling and coordination of Fundraising meetings and cross-team projects
- Collaborate across the organisation to ensure fundraising needs are integrated and aligned

AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work placements across North London.
At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25. The Advocacy and Mobility Services Manager leads this service.
Overall Job Purpose
To develop and manage AFK’s Mobility Service including overseeing the progress of funding applications for mobility equipment, managing the waiting list and ensuring a quality service to our beneficiaries. The Advocacy and Mobility Services Manager will be responsible for providing advocacy support, enabling applicants to secure equipment from statutory services, where appropriate. They will also manage the maintenance and reallocation of AFK-owned powerchairs.
Working Conditions

Line Manager to the Fundraising and Mobility Officer
Close working relationships with mobility equipment suppliers
On a day-to-day basis there will be regular contact with beneficiaries and their families, mobility equipment suppliers and health professionals, as well as Service Delivery and Fundraising Managers.
On-going contact with grant giving organisations and associated bodies.
Principal Responsibilities
1. To develop policies to support the direction of AFK’s Mobility Services, in relation to criteria for funding equipment, guidance on managing the waiting lists and the provision of loaned/ beneficiary owned equipment etc.
2. To identify applicants for mobility funding who could access statutory funds. To provide advocacy support to those families including submitting formal letters of complaint to NHS Trusts and/or taking legal advice. To monitor savings to the Mobility budget, as a direct result of advocacy intervention.
3. To ensure the mobility equipment budget is spent appropriately by developing and implementing funding criteria, negotiating competitive rates with suppliers, encouraging families to consider a range of options for high end equipment and ensuring statutory services support funding where appropriate.
4. To line manage the Fundraising and Mobility Officer to enable her/him to progress applications for mobility grants, from initial enquiry to order and delivery of equipment.
5. To provide AFK’s Fundraising and Communications teams with data and feedback from families and to identify potential case studies.
6. To support selected applicants with individual fundraising, including applying to Trusts and charities and writing to businesses.
7. To monitor the funds raised by AFK’s individual fundraising activity.
8. To keep abreast of changes in the field for example: developments among competitors and pricing in the market; progress of the NHS England wheelchair campaign; and changes to Clinical Commissioning Groups’ criteria.

It is a very exciting time to join the MS Society as Director of Income Generation a brand-new role in the organisation. We are implementing an ambitious cross-organisational transformation programme. And we have just started a new 2025-29 strategy. Income Generation is central to both.
We are transforming our approach to engagement to grow and deepen relationships with all our audiences. This creates an opportunity to integrate our approach to engagement and income generation. So we can increase our financial supporter base. Grow and diversify long-term sustainable income to deliver transformational impact for the MS Community. And contribute to our ultimate vision of a world free from MS.
We are looking for someone to provide strategic and thought leadership to income generation. Someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to lead and drive forward our ambition for income generation.
You will act as the leading authority on matters relating to income generation, providing advice across the organisation including to the Executive Group and Trustees.
You will enable the delivery of related transformation programmes that increase and diversify income. And have strategic ownership of the income generation programme, including income-related activities and KPIs within the engagement calendar, and customer experience and journeys relating to financial supporters
You will lead on income generation functions planning and budget setting contributing to the overall business planning process for the Income and Engagement Directorate

As Senior Finance Officer, you will play a vital role at World Heart Beat, ensuring the effective day-to-day management of finances, financial administration, and bookkeeping, as well as informing future business planning. You will work with key personnel across the team, providing guidance and leadership in relation to budget management and financial information to support funding applications and stewardship. You will also provide excellent reporting to support the Executive and Board.
It is an exciting time for the charity, following the opening of World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens in 2023, our second site for music teaching, which includes a café, concert hall and recording studio. The operation of two sites has increased our activities and overheads, making the Senior Finance Officer role even more crucial. We have also established a CIC through which new earned income streams are channelled. The Senior Finance Officer will have the opportunity to develop and shape financial processes and contribute to forward planning.

About the vacancy
In this role, you will support a steering group of volunteer parents and carers who oversee the running of the Forums. Your excellent organisational skills will ensure parents and carers have a voice at key local meetings, plus you will arrange monthly events for parents and carers such as workshops with key local decision-makers. You will provide opportunities for parents and carers to develop their own networks of support through WhatsApp & social media, and oversee the publication of bi-annual newsletter. Each year, you will use your analytical skills to measure the impact the Forum is having on the lives of its members and recommend areas for development to the steering group, always seeking to improve the service and reach more families.
You will line-manage a Forum Administrator who will support you and the work of the Forums.
This important role forms part of our charity’s strategic offer to local parents and carers. You will join our senior team plus you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the wider work of the charity such as by attending fun community fundraising activities, working with our partners, and enjoying our social events.
You will receive our mandatory training in safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality, equal opportunities & diversity and mental health, plus more technical training including risk assessment and first aid.
