Typical Accountabilities of position:

Board and Senior Leadership meetings:

· Maintain a forward-looking calendar of Board, Board Committees and Senior Leadership Team meetings and agenda items and set up the meetings.

· Support line manager to prepare agendas, co-ordinate timely pre-read papers, write minutes, and track agreed actions.

· Maintain consistent Terms of Reference across all Board Committees.

· Provide administrative support to the line manager and Board with recruitment, induction, performance management and succession planning for the Board and Board committees.

· Manage and maintain Trustee documentation to ensure that information is transparent, up to date and readily accessible.

· Provide administrative support to the line manager and Board Chair with a periodic review of the Board, its value and behaviours, practice and operations.

Compliance:

· Ensure compliance with requirements and guidelines of Charity Commission, Companies House and other regulatory bodies.

· Coordinate the narrative, design and approval of the Annual Report and Accounts.

· Ensure appropriate governance information reflected in external communications.

· Ensure full and accurate reporting provided to grant funders.

Governance and risk management

· Support governance within the functions, and ensuring appropriate guidance and advice provided from those functions to the wider team.

· Manage and maintain risk registers across the departments.

We will be launching our new programme from September 2025, initially as a pilot working with families across Wandsworth, with aims to be able to expand and continue beyond this.

As a Family Support Worker, you will deliver flexible, hands-on, and therapeutically minded support to families facing multiple and complex challenges. You will build trusted relationships through home visits, school meetings, and practical support—empowering parents and carers to strengthen routines, manage behaviour, improve attendance, and access services. Your role will be guided by detailed needs assessments and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes with each family.

The Prison Phoenix Trust

The PPT are the leading experts in yoga and meditation in prisons in the UK and Ireland. Since 1988 we have supported the personal development and rehabilitation people living in prison through meditation and yoga. We do this through 121 mentoring, group yoga classes, peer support newsletters and resources such as books and DVDs that help people practise yoga and meditation in their cells. We deliver the British Wheel of Yoga’s accredited training Teaching Yoga in Prison.

A small staff and volunteer team based in Oxford works with a network of self-employed yoga and meditation teachers across the UK and Ireland.

This new role is part of an expansion of the staff team to build the capacity of the charity to meet the growing demands for its services and the income to support this.

The role

At an exciting time for the expansion of the charity’s fundraising activities, the Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving and expanding the charity’s income from individual donors while leading the development and execution of community fundraising initiatives and events. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing long-term relationships with individual donors, cultivating new donor prospects, and developing innovative community engagement strategies, working with The PPT’s Development Lead.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and passionate professional with expertise in donor relations, event management, and community fundraising. They will be skilled at creating impactful experiences that inspire both individual and collective action, making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

1. Individual Fundraising
Innovate and implement a donor acquisition strategy appropriate for the values of The PPT.

• Implement an audience segmentation approach to building individual, regular and legacy giving, drawing on accurate analysis of data, using The PPT’s Access database.
• Project manage delivery of quarterly postal appeals including segmentation and targeting of messaging, mail-merge and printing, dispatch by volunteers or mailing house.
• Email marketing, including use of Mailchimp to segment audiences and target messages.
• Optimise The PPT’s use of JustGiving and other fundraising platforms, regularly reviewing performance.
• Optimise fundraising functionality of The PPT’s website and support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new website.

2. Community fundraising

• Manage and plan the growth of The PPT’s community fund raising activities, with a particular focus on yoga groups and faith groups.
• Review and develop cost-effective levels of support for fundraisers.

3. Donor care:

• Manage relationships with current and prospective donors and fundraisers by ensuring timely acknowledgment of gifts.
• Refine use of automated systems, such as Mailchimp and JustGiving to automate acknowledgement of gifts where appropriate, while ensuring optimum levels of personalisation, such as hand-written cards and notes.  Fulfil established donor journeys, ensuring donor led and annual stewardship is met.

4. Data management, analysis and reporting

• Maintain and update The PPT’s supporter database, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.  Initially using Access and adapt with the move to a new database/CRM programme.
• Track, monitor and report quarterly on results of FR activities
• Support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new database and/or customer relationship management system.

5. Event Coordination

• Plan and project manage delivery of The PPT’s public facing, fundraising and donor stewardship events including planning, promotion, logistics, and follow-up.
• Integrate donor care into event planning, ensuring that donors feel personally valued and appreciated before, during, and after events.
• Work with Communications Coordinator in producing printed and display materials for events.
• Plan and project-manage delivery of The PPT’s presence at networking events for example in yoga, faith and criminal justice communities.

6. Communications and Marketing

• Contribute to development of social media audiences to meet charity’s profile-raising and fundraising objectives.
• Craft compelling messages and content for supporter communications that highlight The PPT’s mission and impact.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

• Proven fundraising experience, especially in individual giving (e.g., regular giving, legacies, donor stewardship, direct mail, online fundraising
• Knowledge of best practices and ethical standards in fundraising, with a strong focus on donor care
• Expertise in using Excel and Access to analyse and report on fundraising data
• Skilled in using Mailchimp and CRM systems (e.g. Donorfy, Beacon, Salesforce) to manage donor journeys and stewardship - Comfortable analysing donor trends and campaign performance

First Give is a national charity that empowers young people to make a positive difference to the causes they care about. We do this by partnering with secondary schools across England and Wales, delivering a fully resourced programme that inspires an entire year group to connect with local charities and take meaningful social action - from fundraising and volunteering to campaigning and raising awareness.

In order to meet the requirements of the organisation for this ambitious growth a new 3 year fundraising strategy has been developed which includes expanding and diversifying our fundraising streams into Corporate and HNWI. We have also recently launched recruitment for a Fundraising Campaign Board Chair. The Campaign, A Route to A Million, aims to raise an additional £1.5 million over the next 3 years. We are also embarking on an ambitious regional growth strategy to grow and deliver our programme to more young people than ever across England and Wales.

Team Administrator

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated administrator who would like a varied role.  The successful candidate will provide cross-departmental support and administrative support to the Director and Senior Leadership Team. Providing support to the First Give team, primarily the SLT

• To be the first point of contact for enquiries to First Give by email and telephone

Overseeing and managing financial administration

Being a Head of Fundraising at St Wilfrid’s

As an interim Head of Fundraising, covering maternity leave, you will need strong leadership skills, a passion for fundraising with a track record for delivering financial results, and a desire to work for a meaningful cause. This role leads an incredible team of 12 dedicated fundraising professionals who, along with the support of our event volunteers, work tirelessly to support our Hospice. Their dedication to, and care for, our supporters generates over £4 million annually, which is vital for funding our care.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our fundraising department thrives, and will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive fundraising budget, including forecasting for the future, working closely with the Director of Income Generation
• Developing effective fundraising programmes in all revenue streams, identifying priority areas – to enhance the fundraising portfolio of income generation activities; consistently evaluating and adjusting plans and strategies
• Ensuring the close management of income and expenditure, making adjustments where necessary to ensure good financial management
• Leading, building and motivating the Fundraising team, providing leadership and management and overseeing development and training, to enable individuals to reach their full potential
• Collaborating closely with our marketing and retail heads as one of our department leads

The Senior Finance Lead will be a member of the senior leadership team, entrusted with strategic responsibility and supervising day to day management of the financial and commercial operations across the business including the shop, café, nursery, admissions and educational courses. The Senior Finance Lead will conduct rigorous analysis of financial data, trends and performance metrics to derive insights and offer recommendations for informed decision making.

Impact and Insights Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to be an impact catalyst across two Youth Zone locations (Carlisle and London).

We are looking for someone who can generate support and build towards a ‘culture of impact’ in both Youth Zones, so that outcome measurement and impact reporting becomes routine and ‘every day’. 

This is a hybrid working role, with 8 onsite days per month at the Carlisle and London sites, with the remainder working from home.

Position: Impact and Insights Officer

Location: Hybrid (8 days per month across the 2 Youth Zones in Carlisle and Barnet)

Salary: £38,000 – 42,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) plus travel expenses

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Contract: Fixed term contract – 2 years (due to project funding)

About the Role

You will collaborate closely with a cross section of teams within the Youth Zones, working with the Youth Work delivery teams to feed data into decision making, and with the Communications and Fundraising teams to provide impact measurement and analysis content for use with stakeholders and in donor reporting. Furthermore, it will align impact and data work with national and local policy, and use national census, health, police and other statistical data to position the four Youth Zones for new income generation opportunities.

Main responsibilities include:

• Measuring and demonstrating the charities’ impact to stakeholders
• Authoring and providing the necessary data to the leadership and fundraising teams and Board (as required)
• Annual publications such as Trustees Reports and annual Impact Reports.
• Lead on data analysis and reporting on the data held in Salesforce CRM, improving both the quality and quantity of monitoring and evaluation processes
• Driving improvements in data capture through training and upskilling the Youth Work team
• Strengthening the ability of the two Youth Zones to demonstrate the measurable impact of youth work delivered.

Innovation is a key aspect of this role, involving the introduction and embedding of new methodologies to enhance the qualitative data capture process.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who has the ability to bring technical analysis to life in a youth work setting and can communicate insights in an accessible style to different audiences. The Impact and Insights Officer should be passionate about embracing the power of youth work and be keen to support Youth Zones in evidencing the impact created with young people. It will require someone who can bring impact expertise and creativity to create buy-in and drive improvements in data capture; and someone who is keen to work flexibly and closely with teams of passionate Youth Workers and who is unafraid of the challenge presented by Youth Zones in two very different geographic locations.

Previous experience in a data analysis or similar role, including handling large datasets, using data to derive insights and data-led decision making is required for this role, along with experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau), and previous experience working with young people or in a youth work setting.

Please note, this is hybrid working role, with 8 onsite days per month at the Carlisle and London sites. You must be able to travel to these locations as part of your role.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business / Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing comprehensive administrative support. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the business functions of the charity, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. This role covers finance, HR, IT, premises management, recruitment, health and safety, and GDPR/data protection. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, leadership team, and external specialists to support the charity’s mission and maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Human Resources & Recruitment:

· Oversee HR processes, from recruitment to staff development, ensuring compliance with best practices.

· Manage employee relations and support performance management initiatives.

· Maintains training records and ensure all necessary training is booked for staff and volunteers.

IT & Data Management:

· Ensure the smooth running of IT services and systems.

· Oversee GDPR and data protection compliance, working with IT teams and external consultants if necessary, fulfilling the role of DPO for the charity.

Financial Oversight:

· Liaise with external accountants in relation to;

o Processing the monthly payroll

o Processing purchasing invoices ensuring all goods and services have been authorized

o Preparing and processing payments of invoices, expenses etc

· Monitor budgets, financial reporting, and ensure fiscal responsibility.

Premises Management:

· Manage the charity’s physical assets and premises, including vendor contracts and maintenance.

Health and Safety:

· Implement and monitor health and safety policies to provide a secure working environment.

Compliance & Risk Management:

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., data protection, health and safety) and ensure the charity adheres to them.

Strategic Project Management:

· Support the Head of Service in the oversight of operational projects, evaluate their success, and recommend improvements to processes.

Management responsibilities

· Ensure that health and safety at work procedures are adhered to.

· Prepare reports for Head of Service / CEO using DAVSS databases and co-ordinate information for funding/monitoring reports, liaise with the Fundraising team and outsourced finance team as needed in connection with external funding.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict.

Purpose of role

MAP is in a period of growth and rapid development, and as such, the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for the financial strategy and management of MAP and for the leadership of operational areas to help deliver the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. The COO provides support to the CEO in areas of governance, legal and risk management and may deputise for the CEO as required.

Responsibilities

Strategy, vision and leadership

• Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.
• Advise the CEO and SMT on financial planning, legal, governance and related policy matters.
• Work closely with SMT colleagues to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
• Serve as the management liaison to the Finance & Operations Committee, Audit Risk & Governance Committee and, where required, to the Board of Trustees; effectively communicate and present critical financial and operational matters at governance meetings.
• Ensure robust, secure and scalable IT systems and infrastructure. Lead on information governance & data protection and identify and drive opportunities for digital transformation.

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) or post-graduate business degree mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role ideally with in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organisation.
• Experience either as an employee or board member of a non-profit organisation; must be familiar with non-profit finance and accounting regulations.
• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organisational change and development within a growing organisation.
