The North West England Methodist District (NWED) is seeking to appoint a District Property Secretary. The role is home-based, with travel throughout the District. They will be the first point of contact on all matters relating to property and will work in collaboration with the churches and circuits within the District, providing oversight of the properties owned by the District. The post holder will give support and assistance to a range of stakeholders on property-related matters, in the context of Methodist Church governance.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week​

Do you want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with supermarkets, volunteer recruitment channels and venues to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

You will have experience of programme planning and delivery, and working with volunteers. You will be experienced in building relationships with a range of stakeholders, and be passionate about food and cooking.​

There will be frequent travel to our projects in the North East, with some evening and weekend work needed to cover our projects. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.​

Job Description

You'll be an experienced qualified High Intensity Therapist with BABCP accreditation who likes working as part of a supportive team to help clients who struggle with common mental health problems such as anxiety and/or depression.

You will be responsible for the clinical supervision of Mind and Body Practitioners and CBT Therapists. Supervision will be provided on both an individual and group basis. You will be expected to support the clinical governance of the Mind and Body service.

• Have a Post Graduate Diploma in an NHS Talking Therapies Course or a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy – plus further post-graduate qualification training in CBT along with significant experience working as a practitioner

South West Community Chaplaincy (SWCC) aims to provide effective care and community support for people as they leave prison and re-integrate back into the locality, within the counties of Devon, Cornwall and West Somerset.  This includes mentoring, practical support and signposting to assist the integration of ex-prisoners into their communities, in collaboration with other professionals.

We are actively seeking to strengthen our team of Community Chaplains and specifically to appoint a new Community Chaplain in Cornwall, to work with people in the community after they have served a sentence.  The role is also a strategic one, in that it will involve extending the network of support in the county, through the development of support hubs with other service providers.

Job purpose:

To assist with the day-to-day processing, reporting, oversight and management of a diverse range of incoming complaints and whistleblowing disclosures and appropriate escalation of complaints requiring escalation to relevant Area Leads.

The post will play an active role in providing support to the IRW Complaints Team ensuring compliance with associated policies and processes.  The role will involve the preparation of key documents and acting as a liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders to compile and organise key information to support the work of the IRW Complaints Team. 

To provide support and assistance to the Policy and Compliance Manager in the effective and efficient management and administration of the Policy and Compliance function and wider needs of the Division.  To assist with ongoing reviews of internal or external policies and processes, production of resources, reports and associated materials and additional support as directed.

The successful candidate must have:

• A degree in a relevant qualification and/or significant experience suited to the wide remit of the role.
• Strong and seasoned analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and laterally, to overcome challenges.

About the Role:

As Head of People, you will lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of our People function, championing and developing a culture where our coaches and support teams can thrive. This is a pivotal senior role, offering the opportunity to shape our people strategy, drive organisational development, and position Greenhouse Sports as an employer of choice. This role is ideal for a senior HR professional who is ready to partner with senior leadership, confidently make tough decisions, and handle challenging situations with empathy and discretion. You’ll build strong relationships across all levels, stay self-motivated, and keep a sharp eye on both the details and the bigger picture. This could be your first senior role if you have already demonstrated calm, capable leadership and are ready to step up, especially if you’ve taken responsibility for a broad range of People solutions in previous roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the People function with strategic and operational oversight of all HR activities, aligning with organisational goals and values.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on staff development plans and lead and measure staff engagement and support broader cultural development efforts.
• Partner with managers across the organisation to develop their skills and ensure consistency in approach.
• Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and legally compliant outcomes, with varying levels of complexity.
• Lead and continuously improve recruitment practices, driving forward our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy, embedding it into all areas of people practice.
• Maintain responsibility for safeguarding compliance within HR policies and practices and act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
• Lead and continuously improve HR systems, policies, and procedures.
• Manage and support the development of the HR Officer.

Who We’re Looking For:

• CIPD Level 7 qualified, or demonstrable equivalent experience including experience in a senior HR role.
• Passionate about improving the lives of young people through sport, and inclusivity in the workplace
• Strong leadership and influencing skills. Self-motivated, discreet and able to deal with confidential information professionally.
• In-depth knowledge of employment law and best practice HR across the employee lifecycle
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach
• A forward-thinking, values-led leader who is excited by the opportunity to develop

About us: Tender works with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Since 2003, Tender’s work has grown and diversified from a single workshop programme delivered to schools, into a broader range of programmes reaching both children and young people and professionals with a safeguarding responsibility such as teachers, youth workers, social care workers and foster carers. Tender’s programmes include Healthy Relationships projects delivered across England, projects delivered using online resources and technology, specialist projects for vulnerable children and young people, whole school and whole setting approaches, and training for professionals with safeguarding responsibility and in workplaces.

About the role: The main purposes of the Projects Coordinator role are:

• Coordinating the administration of all aspects of Tender’s training programmes for adults across the organisation, with a focus on the coordination of our INSET work with schools.
• Supporting the Head of Adult Services and Service Delivery Lead (Adult Services) to manage relationships with Tender’s internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, workshop leaders, teachers/carers, delivery partners and other service professionals
• Monitoring and evaluating the impact of Tender’s training sessions

Success in this role would mean that, after six months, you will have:

• Successfully coordinated the delivery of our adult training sessions in schools and youth settings
• Built good working relationships with the schools and settings we work in, and the facilitators who deliver our work
• Supported and worked flexibly with the Head of Adult Services and other colleagues to ensure the high quality and continued improvement of our work
• Use Tender’s data management systems, such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce, confidently and in line with Tender’s policies

Essential requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in developing and delivering domestic violence training, or equivalent experience and a willingness to undertake the Level 3 training
• Proficiency in office software, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Ability to coordinate complex projects involving a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities
• Ability to manage your own time and priorities to meet the agreed objectives
• Ability to work with colleagues across departments and organisations
• Ability to solve problems, working flexibly and collaboratively

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: £37,635 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Deputy Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls.

In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who experienced domestic abuse and are staying living in our refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
