The Head of Philanthropy will lead on day-to-day fundraising across individual giving, memberships, appeals and campaigns for Leeds Playhouse. This role is central to building and sustaining a robust philanthropic programme, with a particular focus on developing a strong pipeline of mid- and high-level donors, cultivating and stewarding High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), and driving engagement through compelling communications and events.

We are seeking an excellent communicator and strategic fundraiser who is creative, resilient, and highly motivated. The Head of Philanthropy will play a key role in shaping and delivering sustainable income growth through individual giving, and major donor engagement—ensuring our work is resourced for the long term.

The post-holder will report to the Strategic Director of Fundraising & Development, deputising as required, and will line manage the Development Administrator. This role is predominantly based at Leeds Playhouse with some scope for hybrid working, complementing the Strategic Director role (a part-time role, mostly working remotely).

This is a permanent, full time contract. We would like to fill a requirement for 35 hours per week, which is full-time for this role, with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. However, we are open to hearing from people interested in part-time work or job sharing. Pay for the role is £35,700 per year based on 35 hours per week.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Events & Fundraising Officer to join our small, dedicated team. Working closely with the rest of the Events & Fundraising team, you’ll help deliver and grow LLST’s fundraising events across London and the South East, including the London Legal Walk, Regional Legal Walks, Great Legal Bake, and Great Legal Quiz, as well as manage our third party challenge events. You will play a vital role in the planning and organising of LLST’s flagship London Legal Walk, bringing together over 19,000 members of the legal community to walk 10km through central London and raise vital funds for over 100 free legal advice charities.

The role involves coordinating event logistics, managing supporter journeys and communications, maintaining our online presence, spreading the word about the importance of the work we do, and helping to develop our fundraising strategy. You’ll also line manage the Events & Fundraising Assistant and play a key role in maintaining LLST’s excellent reputation.

Links Project: This initiative focuses on enabling adults with learning disabilities to engage in community activities through befriending, mentoring, and peer-led programs, all supported by our dedicated volunteers. As the Project Coordinator, you will support the key administrative tasks that keep this project running smoothly.

The Project Coordinator will support referrals with specific aims and objectives within the project scope – for example traveling to meet a friend, accessing sports, increasing confidence and ensuring isolation is reduced.

In your day-to-day role, you will be striving to build, expand and strengthen the project whilst working closely with the Project Lead ensuring all key performance indicators and any project targets are met. The role is responsible for onboarding individuals into the project as well as completing ongoing assessments and gathering feedback.

This role is crucial in making sure we deliver exceptional service, stay compliant, and run our project efficiently— whilst ensuring our mission, vision and values are not compromised. 

Project Skills:

• Support with the daily operations of the project scope.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Identify, build and maintain strong relationships with project participants, families, local and health authorities’ representatives, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent the Charity and service at meetings, events, and forums, advocating for the needs and rights of those we support.
• Work closely with other teams and services within the Charity to ensure a unified approach to care and support.

Business Development:

• Identify and exploit opportunities for expanding the service, from new partnerships and funding sources both inside and outside health and care to innovative care models.
• Prepare and present feedback and data when required to the project lead.
• Lead marketing and promotion of the service, boosting awareness, interest and attracting new project participants.

 Other Requirements:

• Be ready to work flexibly, which could include weekends and bank holidays. You might also be asked to work in different services as needed.

• You have at least two years’ experience within a coordination/administration service for individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.

As Housing Support Worker, the successful applicant will be expected to:

• Process referrals according to local procedures

• Undertake initial inquiries into a person’s eligibility and homelessness/threatened with homelessness status making referrals to appropriate safeguarding agencies for people with no recourse to public funds.

• Develop, update and review Personal Housing Plans (PHP) with survivors. Set out and agree on realistic tasks with the survivor and ensure the PHP remains relevant whilst homelessness prevention and relief duties are owed
• Using effective case management skills to timely prevent and relieve homelessness. Where homelessness cannot be prevented, support the arrangement of suitable Temporary Accommodation (TA) and First Night Placements.

The Role

You’ll bring at least five years’ experience in fundraising or a related industry, with a proven track record of building and managing relationships with individual donors or high-net-worth clients. This role is a full time permanent position.There is flexibility around where the role is based. We have large offices in London and Peterborough and smaller offices located throughout the UK. You will need to travel occasionally for meetings. However, this role will primarily be working remotely. 

Key responsibilities include:

· Partnering with directorate teams to create robust budgets and forecasts, offering support and advice for realistic financial planning.

· Providing clear financial reports and analysis to help teams understand results, spot emerging issues, and make informed decisions.

· Supporting complex income forecasting (e.g. legacies), using scenario analysis to guide planning and assess risk.

· Delivering financial analysis and modelling to support investment decisions.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Individual Giving Fundraiser to lead the delivery of our individual giving program, with a focus on multi-channel campaigns, appeals, and supporter journeys.
This role will project manage all areas of individual giving, from concept through to delivery and evaluation, working with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care to maxmise income, deepen supporter engagement, and grow sustainable regular giving.

You’ll be responsible for delivering existing appeals (e.g. our Christmas Appeal and Grand Draw), developing new fundraising products, and ensuring that donors receive thoughtful and inspiring journeys.

At Newlife, we believe every child with disabilities deserves the best possible future. For over 30 years, we’ve been the UK’s leading charitable provider of specialist equipment for disabled children.

We offer an emergency response service, delivering vital items to family homes often within 72 hours. Alongside this, we run a free, nurse-staffed national helpline, provide sensory toys through our Play Pod loan scheme, and campaign for policy change.

Our unique model combines a recycling and retail operation that generates income, creates inclusive employment opportunities, and delivers significant environmental benefits. Along with Support from trusts, corporates, communities, and individuals through traditional fundraising channels.

Key Responsibilities

Individual Giving & Campaign Delivery

• Deliver the individual giving operational plan, managing all campaigns and appeals within agreed budgets and income targets.
• Lead the development and delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, digital, email, retail-linked activity etc.), ensuring integrated messaging and brand consistency.
• Support the delivery and operations of the charity lottery
• Ensure all activities comply with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, and relevant legislation around data, privacy, consent and Gift Aid.

Donor Acquisition & Retention

• Generate and convert new donor prospects, meeting agreed acquisition and income targets.
• Design and implement a regular giving proposition to acquire and retain committed donors.
• Oversee and optimise donor journeys, ensuring excellent stewardship, cross-sell and conversion opportunities, and seamless progression across the giving pyramid.

Innovation & Insight

• Review and refine the current appeals portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth.
• Work with available data to ensure strategic decisions are evidence-based and data-driven, using segmentation and testing to maximise impact.
• Research, explore and pilot new products and approaches to widen our supporter base and increase lifetime value.
• Set and monitor KPIs, reporting on performance and return on investment.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with colleagues across fundraising to maximise income and supporter engagement.
Develop strong relationships across Newlife’s wider teams, embedding fundraising within the organisation and ensuring sensitive and thoughtful involvement of families where appropriate.

Hamelin exists to reimagine life for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, enabling limitless possibilities. Hamelin is seeking a passionate, self-motivated and confident coordinator to support our expanding Ability Works project. In this diverse role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring our individuals meet their goals and create a lasting impact in our communities as well as being the first point of call for new individuals accessing the service.

Ability Works - This initiative focuses on enabling adults with learning disabilities and autistic people to gain meaningful and fulfilling paid employment. The project thrives on outcomes, motivation and a can-do approach.

This role is crucial in making sure we deliver exceptional service, stay compliant, and run our project efficiently— whilst ensuring our mission, vision and values are not compromised. 

The Employment Support Coordinator will regularly meet with participants to listen, offer support and help them identify their best job match, reflecting their skills and aspirations.

In your day-to-day role, you will be striving to build, expand and strengthen the project whilst working closely with the Employment Manager to ensure all key performance indicators and any project targets are met. The role is responsible for onboarding individuals into the project as well as delivering face-to-face mentoring, work experience in and outdoors and coaching.

Project Skills:

• Support with the daily operations of the project scope.
• Supporting individuals through CV production, profiling, interview techniques, attending interviews, workshops, job clubs and managing their health at work.
• Adhere to the strategies to grow and enhance the projects, meeting the ever-changing needs of those we support.
• Identify skills gaps for participants and offer Asdan short courses to support development.
• Building relationships with community partners including DWP, Social Care and prescribers, and other charities and government organisations to gain referrals for the project.
• Sourcing job opportunities for your participants through regular contact with key local employers.

Teamwork:

• Work in partnership with Hamelin’s service offer, especially the Links service and Opportunity Center.
• Ensure the project remains a motivated team that aligns with our values and goals.
• Report on the performance of the current project, providing feedback and support to ensure high standards of care and efficiency.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Follow Hamelin’s policies and procedures to maintain best practices and regulatory standards.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, including gathering feedback from project participants and colleagues to keep improving our service delivery.
• Engage with and become involved with continuing self-development.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Identify, build and maintain strong relationships with project participants, families, local and health authorities representatives, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent the Charity and service at meetings, events, and forums, advocating for the needs and rights of those we support.
•  Work closely with other teams and services within the charity to ensure a unified approach to care and support.

Business Development:

• Identify and exploit opportunities for expanding the service, from new partnerships and funding sources both inside and outside health and care to innovative care models.
• Prepare and present feedback and data when required, to the Employment Manager.
• Lead marketing and promotion of the service, boosting awareness. interest and attracting new project participants.

About You

It’s essential that:

• You have at least two years’ experience within a coordination/administration service for individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• You have a proven track record of successful project administration.
• You hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
• Be ready to work flexibly, which could include weekends and bank holidays. You might also be asked to work in different services as needed.

The health information team produced high quality, accessible health and patient information for people affected by breast cancer or worried about their breast health. Our printed information is used by healthcare professionals across the UK, and our online information includes over 200 webpages.

The health content editor plays a pivotal role in the creation and reviewing of our information portfolio. We’re looking for an organised and collaborative individual to project manage and edit individual information products, working alongside our team of subject matter experts.

About you

You’re a clear communicator with the ability to break down complex medical information for a lay audience. You have excellent attention to detail and are committed to making health information accessible and accurate. You’ll be an experienced editor looking to put your skills and knowledge into practice. You’re someone who is used to juggling an array of projects and can manage and prioritise them.
