About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a community midwife to join our friendly, established community healthcare team in Dhekelia. We are a busy service with a diverse caseload working with service families and children in Cyprus.

We are looking for a confident, innovative, NMC registered Midwife with excellent communication skills who is prepared to work flexibly to meet service needs.  You will be required to work in conjunction with the consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist who are contracted to provide secondary care as well as the medical officers and GPs, members of the SSAFA Community Health Care Team, and voluntary agencies in your local area.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high standard of Midwifery care on a rotational basis in order to provide 24hour cover.

You will be offered opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment and encouraged to participate in service developments. Supervision and a comprehensive, supportive induction period are provided. The role offers you the opportunity to experience the joy of providing care throughout the pregnancy continuum, benefiting from continuous care with your own caseload of patients.

About the team

You will be a member of the SSAFA Community Health Team, working alongside Health Visitors, School Nurses, School Nurses, Community Children’s Nurses, CAMHS, Dietitian, Speech Therapists. You will be expected to work in collaboration with Midwives based in localities across Cyprus.

The SSAFA Community Health Team work collaboratively with Primary Health care, the designated Secondary Health care provider, Social Care and Welfare agencies.

This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely on occasions, with prior agreement from your Locality Team Leader.

About you

To carry out the role successfully you will be a registered midwife with the NMC.

You will be able to manage and prioritise a caseload successfully, have good time management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and be committed to personal development. You will have a good working knowledge of safeguarding children. A valid driving license is essential.

Children’s Residential Senior Support Worker

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be working hands-on day in day out with the young people living in the children’s home and act as the senior shift worker in the staff team.

While there will be still an opportunity to work directly with young people, you’ll also take on some extra responsibilities – line managing support workers and directing the staff and resources when on shift.

You’ll work with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build a relationship and trust bond with the young people living at the home. You’ll be a positive role model, supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust in adults again, along with the help and guidance of your colleagues and therapeutic services.  You will encourage new experiences, supporting the young people to develop their own identity.

About you

The Role

The team support local areas to use evidence to improve their services and outcomes for children and families. The Senior Practice Development Adviser will work with local leaders to support their decision-making on how to increase the availability of services and approaches that have evidence of improving child outcomes.

You will develop and deliver projects which increase the use of evidence in local services for children and families, in relation to the organisational priority areas, and provide senior input on service and practice development relevant to statutory social work and early intervention services. About You

As part of our annual leave policy, all employees receive three additional days of annual leave on top of their standard allocation of 25 days. SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis as a result of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice (SLRA is regulated to provide advice at IAA Level 3) as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. SLRA also campaigns for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice.

We are looking for a Senior Immigration Advisor or Solicitor who will be responsible for the delivery of immigration advice and casework to service users in a wide range of circumstances, although most will be rough sleepers. The work will be varied and will cover a broad range of asylum and immigration issues, along with the opportunity to support advocacy work and to improve access to justice.

• Are an Immigration Advisor regulated at IAA Level 3 and/or qualified solicitor with substantial relevant experience of providing high quality advice and casework to clients.
• Have a good understanding of a wide range of legal, rights and entitlements issues as they relate to immigration and asylum, along with knowledge of and empathy with the backgrounds and experiences of migrants who are in crisis or at risk

We are seeking an Individual Giving Fundraiser to lead the delivery of our individual giving program, with a focus on multi-channel campaigns, appeals, and supporter journeys.
This role will project manage all areas of individual giving, from concept through to delivery and evaluation, working with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care to maxmise income, deepen supporter engagement, and grow sustainable regular giving.

You’ll be responsible for delivering existing appeals (e.g. our Christmas Appeal and Grand Draw), developing new fundraising products, and ensuring that donors receive thoughtful and inspiring journeys.

We offer an emergency response service, delivering vital items to family homes often within 72 hours. Alongside this, we run a free, nurse-staffed national helpline, provide sensory toys through our Play Pod loan scheme, and campaign for policy change.

Key Responsibilities

Individual Giving & Campaign Delivery

• Deliver the individual giving operational plan, managing all campaigns and appeals within agreed budgets and income targets.
• Lead the development and delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, digital, email, retail-linked activity etc.), ensuring integrated messaging and brand consistency.
• Support the delivery and operations of the charity lottery
• Ensure all activities comply with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, and relevant legislation around data, privacy, consent and Gift Aid.

Donor Acquisition & Retention

• Generate and convert new donor prospects, meeting agreed acquisition and income targets.
• Design and implement a regular giving proposition to acquire and retain committed donors.
• Oversee and optimise donor journeys, ensuring excellent stewardship, cross-sell and conversion opportunities, and seamless progression across the giving pyramid.

Innovation & Insight

• Review and refine the current appeals portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth.
• Work with available data to ensure strategic decisions are evidence-based and data-driven, using segmentation and testing to maximise impact.
• Research, explore and pilot new products and approaches to widen our supporter base and increase lifetime value.
• Set and monitor KPIs, reporting on performance and return on investment.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with colleagues across fundraising to maximise income and supporter engagement.
Develop strong relationships across Newlife’s wider teams, embedding fundraising within the organisation and ensuring sensitive and thoughtful involvement of families where appropriate.

Year two and three:

The role:

You’ll learn how to build relationships, make difficult decisions and advocate for children’s safety and wellbeing. That means: 

• Visiting a child at home or school
