Your Role

As our Head of Alternative Provision, you’ll lead the development and delivery of our new Alternative Provision service, supporting young people who are struggling to thrive in mainstream education. This is a hands-on role at the start, shaping the model, refining plans, and directly managing delivery. As the service grows, your focus will shift to leading its further development, maintaining quality, and expanding provision across sites.

You’ll be part of our Senior Management Team and play a key role in building strong partnerships with schools, commissioners and families, ensuring we provide outstanding, therapeutic and accredited learning opportunities. Through these relationships, you’ll also help identify new ways for No Limits to support schools and families to meet young people’s needs.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the development, delivery and quality assurance of our Alternative Provision service
• Overseeing service design, safeguarding, risk management and outcomes for young people
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with schools, local authorities and commissioners
• Acting as subject expert on Alternative Provision, SEMH and EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
• Managing teams, budgets, quality assurance, and resources effectively

Role Terms

Salary: Band G £40,270 to £47,828 per annum, full time equivalent (based on 37.5 hours per week all year)

The role requires a qualification in areas such as Project Management, Change Management, Service Design, or Business Analysis, alongside proven experience in service design, UX, or digital product design. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in design tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Adobe XD), research methods, usability, and accessibility, with strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams and familiarity with digital transformation, enterprise platforms (e.g., MS 365), and customer experience strategy is essential.

Candidates should also have a proven track record of delivering service innovation, continuous improvement, and transformation, with the ability to evaluate service outcomes and measure the impact of improvements. A solid understanding of digital tools, remote working practices, and hybrid service models is required, alongside excellent verbal and written communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills. Croydon BME Forum, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is tackling ethnic inequalities in health and social care through this “Can You C Me Project”. The Macmillan Team offers personalised support, information, and referrals for individuals affected by cancer, including families and carers, across six South West London boroughs: Croydon, Merton, Kingston, Wandsworth, and Richmond. Working within a team of three, you will be responsible for two boroughs, Croydon and Merton while supporting colleagues as needed.

As a Project Coordinator for the Can You C Me project, you will play a key role in engaging BME communities to enhance cancer awareness and support. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will lead outreach initiatives, community engagement, and the organisation of project activities across Southwest London. Each coordinator is assigned a specific set of boroughs, collaborating closely with community organisations, faith groups, healthcare providers, and individuals affected by cancer.

Key Responsibilities

· Engage and build relationships with local communities, faith groups, and voluntary organisations to raise cancer awareness and improve support networks.

· Organise and deliver cancer awareness events, workshops, and outreach sessions tailored to community needs.

· Facilitate steering groups with professionals and individuals with lived experience to shape service delivery.

· Plan and coordinate two cancer conferences per year, ensuring they raise awareness, amplify voices, and drive meaningful change.

Key Tasks....

• Undertake direct work that is designed to meet the individuals needs as identified within the Person-Centred Plan, enabling them to maximise their full potential. Supporting the individual’s significant relationships and working with families will be a part of this task.
• Develop and maintain a robust awareness of safeguarding and protection issues (POVA), how these fit with positive behaviour support and raise any concerns regarding the individuals with the appropriate people.

What the role involves

1. Ensuring that there are regular training opportunities for both new starters and those requiring refresher sessions or updates when new functions or forms are released. 6. Support the Data Reporting and System Support Lead with regards to user administration and user support at times of absence and increased need

7. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to support the creation of e-learning training modules for our LMS (currently RISE) Acting at all times in line with safeguarding legislation and guidance in addition to Safer London’s practice guidelines and wider pan-London processes and protocols.

8. Undertaking any other duties as required and commensurate with the level of this post, including covering the Data Reporting and CRS support lead post functions when relevant.

Specific responsibilities:

• Collaborate with individuals and team members to provide trauma informed support to a caseload of adults and young people within community settings.

• Co-develop personalised support and/or safety plans with individuals, ensuring goals are meaningful, achievable, and shaped by the person’s own priorities and values.

Role Purpose

We’re looking for a flexible and self-motivated Project Assistant to join our team in Newcastle, supporting the delivery of our Home from Hospital and Community Support project.

Preventing admissions, and re-admissions, to hospital is crucial for the NHS. Re-admissions alone cost the NHS over £2 billion per year, and no-one wants to be in hospital when they can be recovering safely and comfortably at home. The Home from Hospital project was developed to help enable people to thrive back at home, and in the community, while at the same time supporting the NHS.

We recruit, train, support and coordinate volunteers, who provide a “little bit of help” to people who may be socially isolated, have health issues, or don’t have many people around them.

Our volunteers provide social, emotional or practical support, completing short-term tasks for up to 6 weeks. This includes tasks such as helping with grocery shopping, collecting and delivering medical prescriptions, in person or telephone check in’s, driving someone to an appointment, helping with paperwork, ensuring the home is safe and secure, and lots more!

As our Project Assistant, you will:

· Work closely with Volunteering Matters colleagues in a flexible and agile way, taking instruction and responding quickly to ensure beneficiaries and volunteers have the best possible experience

· Face to face and telephone contact with older people taking part in the project, completing practical, social, or wellbeing tasks to meet their individual needs

· Administrative tasks including providing updates to colleagues on project activities, processing paperwork, and other computer-based tasks to help ensure the smooth delivery of the programme

· Support with the promotion of the project across Newcastle in order to attract new volunteers and generate referrals – this may include drafting content, public speaking and giving presentations

This role is part of a fast-paced and responsive workplace environment. In order to meet the needs of the programme, we are looking for a candidate who can offer significant flexibility when it comes to working hours – ideally over 4 days per week.

Main purpose of post
This role is to develop and co-ordinate Buddies, a vital peer support service which
provides emotional and practical support for people living with or affected by
cancer. They are matched with a trained volunteer who has either had cancer
themselves or have cared for someone with cancer.

Key Responsibilities

 Work with the Volunteer Manager to recruit, train, and support a team of
