The Royal Court Theatre has an exciting opportunity for someone to join People team as People and Governance Coordinator. 

This role is central to the internal operations of the Royal Court, providing high-quality coordination and administration that underpins how we support our staff, deliver effective governance, and maintain a positive workplace culture. The postholder will oversee key HR procedures, systems and records (including recruitment and payroll support), coordinate trustee and board activity, and ensure clear and consistent internal communications across all teams.

Alongside this core administration, the role offers an opportunity to develop as a trusted People Partner for our Front of House and Catering teams, providing first-line guidance on people matters and gaining insight into the internal management of a leading cultural charity. Handling a high volume of correspondence, processes, and confidential information, the post requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and discretion.

• Have proven experience in an administrative role within a busy office environment (not necessarily arts-specific).

The Position

We are seeking a full time Assistant Accountant to support timely processing of financial transactions, accurate accounting, consistency of financial records, supporting the year-end close.

As the Assistant Accountant, you will become an integral part of our dedicated team, ensuring the smooth functioning of financial operations.

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain and improve accounts receivable processes – review and issue of sales invoices, and debt recovery, and follow-up invoicing queries.
• Recording receipts – subscriptions, legacies, grants, gift aid and investment income.
• Manage and reconcile payments, including direct debits, credit card expenses, and PDQ receipts.
• Perform accurate cash and bank reconciliations and updates of bank and deposit balances.
• Reconciliation of receipts in the financial system and the CRM system.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including prepayments, accruals, and other key ledger accounts.
• Assist with VAT returns, ensuring compliance with accurate coding and reporting.
• Support the Finance Manager with the month-end process, including posting month-end journals and assisting with the preparation of month-end reports.
• Assist with year-end processes, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation for auditors.
• Oversee and manage multiple shared finance mailboxes.
• Support internal stakeholders with finance queries.
• Undertake ad hoc general accounting tasks as required.

Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £34,000-£36,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

This vital role helps ensure that Dogs Trust receives the legacy income needed to continue our life-saving work with dogs, while working closely with colleagues across the Legal Department to keep the charity operating smoothly and effectively.

What does this role do?

As a Legacy Administrator you will: 

• Process incoming legacy notifications, involving managing post, opening new files on the First Class 4 database, and accurately inputting data from solicitors and Smee & Ford notification reports.
• Manage a caseload of pecuniary and specific legacies, ensuring timely receipt of income and accurate record-keeping.
•  Represent and protect the charity’s interests in correspondence with solicitors, other beneficiaries, and members of the public.
• Responding to queries via phone and monitoring and managing the Legacies inbox and escalating significant issues to senior members of the legacy administration team where needed.
•  Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on the First Class 4 database, ensuring all legacy cases are regularly reviewed and progressed.

GrantScape is a national grant-making charity that funds community, environmental, and educational projects across the UK. Our grants make a meaningful impact—transforming lives, strengthening communities, and improving local environments in the areas we serve.

The Senior Grant Officer will play a key role in assessing and administering grant applications, and in coordinating meetings with local voluntary Advisory Panels who help prioritise funding decisions.

UK People Support Team Lead

Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 35 hours per week

UK hybrid working – at least 40 % of working time is spent face-to-face (London office, external meetings or travel).

About the team

The UK People Team play a critical role in helping WaterAid realise its goals. We lead on the development, deployment and application of strategies, policies and guidance that ensure that WaterAiders are aligned and engaged, and that they have the skills and opportunities to maximise the impact they can make to our mission.  A small, impactful team, at the forefront of our delivery is the service we give to the organisation and central to that is our employee experience to support WaterAiders and the maintenance of a high-performing environment. 

About the role

A key leadership position in the UK, responsible for leading a dynamic and talented team who delivers the highest standards of operational support to WaterAiders in country. The role will need to plan, prioritise, and deliver to a high standard what we promise in order to deliver our ambitious mission.

Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of UK payroll, pension, and the annual reward process. You will support and coach your team for the development, review and application of UK policies and procedures and be a key stakeholder to our people system Administrator.

You will be working in a matrix environment across the UK People Team and the wider People and Organisational Development function.

In this role, you will:

Team Leadership

• Manage, coach and build the capabilities of the People Support Team, their performance and development in line with our values and people promise.
• Expertise and ownership of UK People Team policies, processes and procedures, ensuring that they meet legislative requirements, are fit for purpose and in line with best practice and organisational priorities under the umbrella of our employee value proposition.
• Lead the delivery of the programme of work so that service standards at met, solutions are pragmatic and driven by our values, minimising risk.

Payroll, Pension and Reward

• Accountable for the delivery of the UK monthly payroll and pension processes, providing oversight and support to the work of the in-house Payroll Officer and being a back-up to their role, to ensure payroll is run accurately each month.
• Implement the annual pay award operationally ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payment to all UK based staff.
• Implementation of a new payroll system for the UK.

Systems and Reporting

• Primary super user in the UK of HR Information System, PeoplePlace, ensuring effective and efficient use of the system. Responsible that the country's employee data is correct and in compliance with data protection.
• Drive the importance of data and people analytics and create a culture of data-based decision-making and insight across the team.
• Ownership of maintaining the monthly UK headcount establishment data with key stakeholders in Finance.
• Annual analysis and statutory reporting of the Pay Gap in the UK.

Compliance and Contract Management

• Act as the UK Team specialist on areas of HR compliance, working with 3rd parties and specialist advisors, to ensure that our policies, processes and practices are compliant and meet legal requirements.
• Responsible for data protection in the People Team, provide senior expertise and build capability across the wider people function.

Other

• Ownership of salary calculations in the event of employee termination and/or redundancy.
• Monthly payroll and pension sign off.
• Budget management and invoice approval.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

Functional skills

• Proven experience in leading, managing and developing a high-performing people operations team in a matrix, fast-paced organisation.
• Proven experience in managing and running in-house payroll for at least 250 staff or more.
• Excellent understanding of HR policy development; and proven experience in developing and embedding HR policies, processes and procedures that are fit for purpose.
• A qualified and robust HR Practitioner who has sound and up-to-date knowledge of employment law, tax and legislative requirements affecting a wide spectrum of HR policies and practice, i.e. payroll, pension, reward and benefits, together with their application in the context of the employee experience.
• Working knowledge and experience of HR and Payroll systems, to maximise the functionality and create efficiencies.
• Demonstrate project management capability.
• Proven experience in contract management and managing a wide range of third-party service providers.

Personal qualities

• A self-starter who is focused on delivery and execution: proactive in bringing solutions and recommendations to resolve problems and continuously improve HR practices.
• Able to navigate uncertainty and ambiguity: comfortable working at pace. Resilient and able to work under pressure.

Desirable capabilities

• Degree-level education or equivalent.
• Associate (or higher) membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent work experience.
• An interest in and/or knowledge of development issues and the work of INGOs.

ABOUT THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR

CDMT is the industry body for world-class professional schools, conservatoires and awarding organisations in the performing arts, and we are a strong advocate on behalf of the sector.

The Director of the CDMT plays a strategic role in performing arts training, education and assessment nationally and manages the staff and resources of an organisation of UK-wide standing. The CDMT is financed primarily by membership subscriptions. As this source of income is restricted, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a strategic business sense and a successful income-driven record that will enable the CDMT to create, diversify and take full advantage of developing opportunities.

The Director must be able to liaise effectively with all sectors of the dance, drama, music and musical theatre education communities.  They will have wide knowledge and experience of arts education at all stages of development from entry level, through Further/Higher Education to post-graduate level, and will also require an understanding of qualification frameworks in the UK. Knowledge and experience of inspection and self-assessment mechanisms similar to those operated by the Office for Students, Ofsted and Ofqual, is desirable.

The role includes advocacy on behalf of the sector and requires an ability to offer support and advice to professional schools, conservatoires and awarding organisations as well as informing the thinking of regulators, civil servants and parliamentarians. This demands a high level of tact, diplomacy, professional understanding and tenacity as well as intellectual rigour and integrity.

We’re looking for a super organised, efficient and supportive Operations Lead to make We Own It run smoothly so we can win public services for people not profit. This is a fast-paced role in a small team with a big mission!

You’ll lead on creating and maintaining effective systems and processes, and supporting the team on logistics so that everything runs like clockwork. You’ll also make sure we’re thanking the brilliant individual donors who fund 93% of our work. We’re looking for someone who has a track record of creating efficiency and order for themselves and other people - and can do so in a remote context! You'll need to be happy to carry out a variety of tasks and be flexible about your role.

This role is a crucial part of the We Own It team and central to increasing our impact. Part of a small, high performing team working mostly remotely and sometimes in London, you’ll need to be extremely self-motivated and able to work efficiently and autonomously.

Working within the Individual Giving team, you’ll have a varied role managing and supporting the delivery of supporter-centric fundraising appeals which will recruit, retain and/or develop supporters across the cause-led, gaming, in memory and legacy programmes. These appeals will include utilising online and offline channels such as direct mail, organic and paid social advertising, email, private sites, SMS and telemarketing. 

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

The Administration and Facilities Assistant role at Crisis Skylight Croydon is varied and fulfilling. As the Administration and Facilities Assistant, you will assist with the day-to-day administrative tasks, health and safety and facilities management of a busy Skylight centre ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office and member areas. You will assist with purchasing, stock control and deliveries as well as liaising with contractors. You will use internal systems to record client information. You will also help promote the Skylight internally and externally by collaborating with others and producing impactful designs.

About you

• In this role you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and be competent using Microsoft applications including Excel.
• You will have experience of supporting a team in an administrative role with proven organisational skills.
• You will have excellent interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships within the team.
• You will be confident in financial matters such as administering petty cash and raising purchase orders.
• You will have an interest in facilities management and health and safety.
• You will have the ability to undertake manual handling tasks and to support with processing and storing deliveries.
