About the Role:

Victim Support (VS) is the leading independent charity in England and Wales for people who have been affected by crime and traumatic incidents. Understanding the experience and needs of victims and witnesses of crime is central to the charities' aims and vision.

As a Research & Lived Experience Officer you will have the opportunity to capture the voice of victims and promote evidence based recommendations to improve the experience of victims in the criminal justice system. You will be a part of a small but enthusiastic research team, while also having the opportunity to lead your own project.

You will have the opportunity to recruit participants and manage a Lived Experience Engagement Forum, and to regularly engage, build and maintain close relationships with the forum's participants. You will also need to conduct workshops/focus groups to collect feedback and insights from the participants on various products and procedures, and produce summaries of this feedback.

To be successful in the role you will need to have proven experience in recruiting vulnerable people to take part in research activities and conducting workshops or focus groups and interviews. Experience in writing and analysing surveys is an advantage. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently, as well as experience of working in partnership with various stakeholders. Having knowledge of victims of crime is desirable, but not essential.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

Your Schools Fees Supervisor daily tasks will include:

• Overseeing the accounts receivable process and ensuring accurate records.
• Managing fee collections and liaising with corporate payers and schools fees.
• Supporting the biannual billing process and supervising daily banking.
• Providing excellent customer service and resolving fee-related queries.
• Building strong relationships with staff and external stakeholders.

We have an opportunity for a Head of Strategic Planning to join our team.  The role reports to the Chief Finance and Resources Officer, in the Finance and Resources directorate.  The role is responsible for leading the Strategic Planning team and currently has two direct reports. 

The role is responsible for leading the team to support the organisation to ensure alignment of strategic ambitions with the Corporate Plan and associated corporate processes.  The team provide expertise in business planning, corporate planning and oversight and governance to the organisations strategic programme of projects.       

Responsibilities include:
You will provide oversight of the governance and reporting to SMT of the strategic transformation projects and support the team in the monitoring, tracking and reporting of the delivery plan projects to senior stakeholders 

You will have accountability for providing strategic analysis to our Senior Management Team and subcommittees to enable robust operational and strategic decisions. 

You will lead a dispersed team to coordinate and mature the organisations strategy management; business planning processes: corporate plan: programme/project management.

You will drive a high performing culture, inspiring, coaching and empowering your team.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and teams and have strong stakeholder management to build relationships across the organisation. 

You will use your expertise to partner with key stakeholders to champion our corporate processes and enhance our strategic maturity level to support our strategic ambitions.

Essential criteria

•  Experience of leading and developing dispersed, high performing team to deliver excellent service to internal stakeholders

Executive Director

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director to lead a small charity who work within the Jewish community to make it more inclusive of LGBT+ people through education, consultancy and training.

Position: Executive Director

Location: London (King Cross) / Hybrid (minimum one day a week in the office)

Salary: FTE £47,000 to £53,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours flexitime, including a paid hour for lunch each working day. Core hours are 10am-4pm. Will seriously consider applicants requesting 4 days per week or a job-share

About the role:

As Executive Director you will lead a small team – Head of Education (full time), Head of Community Life (full time) and Programme and Volunteer Officer (full time), working with a charity that has a vision of a world where no one is forced to choose between their LGBT+ and Jewish identity.

As the only charity doing this in the UK, the charity works in partnership with communities to identify their goals, then tailor  support so they can achieve them.

Key responsibilities of the Executive Director:

• Delivering the organisation’s priorities as laid out in the 2022-2027 strategy
• Ensuring financial sustainability through devising and executing a fundraising strategy and carefully managing the organisational budget

• Sensitive, compassionate leadership and management of the professional team
• Working in close partnership with the Board of Trustees
• Effective accounting and governance
• Monitoring and managing risk via the risk register and seeking legal advice where necessary
• Managing key stakeholders both internal (e.g. volunteers) and external (e.g. communal partners, the wider LGBT+ sector)
• Being the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the charity

About you:

• The ability to speak and write confidently and authentically about LGBT+ issues
• Strategic leadership, planning and decision-making experience in a commercial, not-for-profit or public service setting
• Line management experience, including the ability to inspire and empower a staff team
• Understanding of the charity and voluntary sector, including the funding environment in which charities operate
• Highly effective relationship-builder across multiple arenas (internal stakeholders, external partners, funders etc)
• Knowledge and experience of strategic planning and business development, including operational planning and delivery management
• Knowledge and working experience of organisational finance and budget planning cycles
• Experience working with, and preferably in, the UK Jewish community
• Positive, problem-solving and solutions-oriented

Although not essential it would also be beneficial if you have some of the following skills / experience:

• Delivering training or education in a Jewish setting
• Experience in fundraising
• Understand and experience in print, social and broadcast media
• Experience working with the LGBT+ community
• Experience in using CRMs such as Salesforce
