Job description

Starting salary £25,000 rising to £28,000 (+LW £1,642.50, increasing to £3,285 from 1stNovember 2020).

This exciting Finance Assistant role will involve ensuring the smooth running of all finance and systems support, including transactional processing, record keeping and some month end payroll.  The Finance Assistant will also undertake IT/Systems support duties.

What does the role involve?

  • Dealing with finance/system queries as they arise with suppliers, customers and colleagues
  • Inputting purchase invoices accurately and on time
  • Ensuring all sales invoices are paid on time and chasing up any overdue sales invoices as required
  • Preparing for processing and reconciling company credit cards statements monthly
  • Assisting in payroll preparation by reviewing payroll reports from the payroll service provide

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of basic accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel  
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Methodical and structured approach to your work
  • Demonstrable good communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to a diverse range of audiences
