Role Requirements
· Circulating enquiries/referrals, coordinating assessments, gathering information from internal and external counterparts and formatting, and circulating Referral Screening Reports alongside Referral Manager in preparing for placements.
· Coordinate admission planning tasks including arranging parental accommodation, putting together welcome letter and parental agreement, informing reception, and updating relevant spreadsheets.
· Drafting and circulating pre-admission commissioning paperwork such as ICB letters and funding applications.
· External liaison with parents, referrers, and funders to ensure they are kept updated throughout the pre-admission process, alongside the Referral Manager.

Responsible Finance is the membership association for the UK’s Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs). CDFIs are community lenders, committed to delivering positive social impact, and offer fair and affordable finance to businesses, social enterprises and to people unable to access it elsewhere.
This is an exciting moment to be joining the CDFI sector. Responsible Finance and its members are focused on increasing access to fair and affordable finance for SMEs, social enterprises, people, places and communities that are underserved by mainstream finance. The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in turning that ambition into practical referral pathways, stronger partnerships and measurable growth in responsible lending.
Awareness of CDFIs remains low among many organisations that support SMEs and entrepreneurs. Many businesses that could benefit from CDFI finance are therefore not currently being directed to the sector. An increasing number seem to be turning to high interest lenders, which don’t always consider good customer outcomes.
We are therefore seeking an exceptional Partnerships Manager to develop and deliver a partnership outreach and creation strategy that raises awareness of CDFIs, increases referrals and signposting, and supports growth in CDFI SME lending. Our recent pilot with Lloyds Bank to refer declined SMEs to Responsible Finance, and our partnership with Grow London Local are just two examples.
Success in this role will mean building a prioritised partnership pipeline, converting relationships into active referral pathways, improving the quality and volume of referrals to CDFIs, and using data to learn what works.

Reporting to the Director of Group Tax and Status, this role will support the team on all business projects and transactions across the UK and overseas including due diligence, analysing and advising tax implications on cross-border transactions, exploring tax risk mitigation and tax efficiency strategy, supporting business change.
The Senior Tax Manager will suit someone who has dealt with multiple tax jurisdictions and regions, covering both direct and indirect taxes, and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders from different business units, regions and countries. Experience from implications arising from business restructuring, and divestments (including disposal of real estate assets) is key.
This role can be based UK-wide with occasional office attendance (London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Belfast)

About the role
We’re looking for someone who can provide expert financial support to a high-profile programme, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting throughout its lifecycle. You’ll work closely with programme leads and senior stakeholders to translate operational plans into financial forecasts, provide insightful analysis to support decision-making, and monitor performance, risks and opportunities. The role is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring accurate cost allocation, supporting funding applications, and keeping key finance leaders informed of significant financial activities. Through effective business partnering and financial oversight, you’ll help ensure the programme delivers maximum value while remaining financially well managed and compliant.
Role specifics
We’re looking for a qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA or equivalent) with experience of providing financial support and insight to complex projects and senior stakeholders. You’ll be confident producing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis, assessing financial risks and explaining complex information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences. Experience of charity finance, including restricted funds, SORP and project accounting, would be an advantage, alongside strong financial control, reporting and forecasting skills. You’ll be highly organised, analytical and proactive, with excellent attention to detail, strong Excel and IT skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while building effective relationships and influencing decision-making across the organisation.

Shelter’s Finance Team sits within the Strategy Enablement Directorate, which also includes HR Operations, Technology and Data, and Governance, Planning and Property. The Finance Team consists of 32 people led by the Assistant Director of Finance.
