The Role
Month-end tasks
Process supplier invoices and staff expenses and prepare weekly payment runs in Sage 50 Accounts software.
Send remittance advice to suppliers.
Import staff expenses transactions from Expense's into Sage and reconcile staff accounts to Purchase Ledger in Sage.
Reconcile supplier records within the Purchase Ledger ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Working with the Database & Insights Officer, post monthly bank receipts and income journals to Sage 50.
Monthly reconciliation of bank, Stripe and PayPal accounts to bank statements.
Reconcile credit card statements monthly.
Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals to Sage.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of income in Sage against Fundraising figures, explaining any variances.
Prepare monthly cashflow statements for review by the Head of Finance.
Reporting
Support the Development team with Donor reporting.
Prepare monthly budget vs actual reports for project teams.
Produce Sage expenditure reports for the Development and Program teams upon request.
General
Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox responding to emails and requests in a timely manner.
Support the HoF and Development team with any other ad hoc tasks as required.
The Candidate
Extensive experience working in Finance to officer or senior officer officer level
Reconciliation
Working experience with Sage50.
Qualified or Pursuing formal accounting qualifications.
Understanding of charity accounting
Strong IT skills

An international charity supporting children and young people globally is currently seeking a Director of Finance
Managing the day to day finance operations, you will work to support the wider charity in improving financial and management reporting and analysis. Partnering with the budget holders and the senior management team, you will prepare reports and advise on financial information and data to help inform operational and strategic financial decisions. Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Oversight and management of the finance team
- Preparation and presentation of monthly reports including budgets, income and expenditure analysis and variance analysis (particularly for SMT and Trustee members).
- Developing the charity's investment policies and advising on areas of risk
- Hands-on finance support where necessary to cover any staff absences when applicable
- Oversight and management of year-end processes including liaising with auditors

The Role
The Senior Finance Business Partner will oversee financial management of key programme areas for the charity.
· Provide financial analysis and commentary to support in strategic decision making in relation to programme areas
· Ensure financial and management reports are presented in an accessible way to finance and non-finance stakeholders alike
· Finance business partner across programme management teams to support in financial management reporting
· Support in the production and review of management accounts

The organisation Working with a very well-established charitable foundation, the organisation comprises of three independent schools and two state-funded academies.

Your role The Group Finance Manager will work within a small team and an extended team of around 15-20 finance staff in the schools. Role Overview:
The purpose of the Executive Director roles within Depaul is to ensure that the organisation’s vision, mission and values are delivered through a strategic, shared approach by the Trustee Board, Executive Team and wider workforce.
As the appointed candidate, you will manage the Finance and IT departments and provide strategic and operational management of financial and budgetary processes, ensuring sound, prudent, financial management in compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, underpinned by relevant policies and procedures.
You will provide support for income generation, and other service activity, to secure financial sustainability.
You will also report to the CEO and manager a team of 10 people - currently 8 FTE in Finance and 2 FTE in IT, including 2 direct reports – Financial Controller and Head of IT & Systems.
As part of responsibilities, you be attend meetings of the Council of Trustees, the Trustees’ Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FARC) and the Depaul Housing Services Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a financial service to Depaul UK that meets regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Ensure robust systems and processes for financial planning, analysis and reporting.
- Preparation of the annual statutory accounts and corporate reports to Depaul International, owning an effective relationship with external auditors.
- Support and guide budget holders and senior managers in their financial management responsibilities and produce the annual budget and periodic reforecasting.
- Provide strategic oversight, and monitoring, of the corporate risk register reporting to the CEO and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
- Support ICT systems development ensuring that all ICT is strategically planned and fit for purpose, delivering cost savings and efficiency wherever possible.

What We Are Looking For – Person Specification:
- Fully qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), with post-qualification experience in senior financial management positions and a track record of producing financial strategy, planning, reporting, monitoring and budgeting.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of UK financial regulations, including Charity SORP and its application
- An excellent people manager, with demonstrable experience of leading and driving change programs
- Experience of working in a senior leadership/executive team
