Key Responsibilities

• Designing and strengthening financial systems, procedures and controls on grant management and compliance, regularly reviewing and updating these; and training staff as required

Person Specification

• Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in programmes financial accounting & reporting; developing and managing administrative systems; and budgeting, forecasting and cashflow monitoring.
• Ideally, experience of institutional grant budget proposal development, compliance, monitoring and reporting; this includes experience in managing FCDO, EU, ECHO, German government, Swedish government, and USAID funding.
• Excellent numeracy & financial analysis skills

The team designs and implements predictive models and analytical frameworks to forecast service demand, identify trends, and support resource allocation decisions. Collaborating closely with internal teams, external partners, and academic institutions, the Evidence and Impact team drives continuous improvement, innovation, and organisational learning. How you will make a difference

This role supports the organisation through a strong focus on business intelligence, data collation, and analytics. It plays a critical part in ensuring contract compliance through the development of effective systems and supporting quality improvement. The role involves contract reporting and the preparation of PowerBI dashboards, apps, reports, and presentations to inform strategic decision-making.

Key areas of focus include Criminal Justice, Peer Support Groups, People Analytics, Fundraising, Finance, and Risk and Governance. The postholder will work across these domains to provide clear insights and contribute to organisational learning and development.

Working hours for this role are flexible. It is a home-based position, but we value in-person collaboration, so some travel will be required to main office locations (primarily London) and occasional visits to services across the UK.

Chief Operating Officer

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict.

Purpose of role

MAP is in a period of growth and rapid development, and as such, the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for the financial strategy and management of MAP and for the leadership of operational areas to help deliver the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. The COO provides support to the CEO in areas of governance, legal and risk management and may deputise for the CEO as required.

Strategy, vision and leadership

• Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.

Duties and key responsibilities 
• Support the Head of Institutional Funding in the development and delivery of an

Your Key Responsibilities

● Run monthly payroll (ideally in-person with our Nursery Administrator), and issue payslips to staff

Prospectus is collaborating with an internationally renowned art and educational institution to recruit for a newly created role in their Advancement Team - Head of Advancement Operations.

Managing a direct team of three, this role reports in to the Director of Advancement. The post holder is responsible for providing oversight, analysis and leadership to the department based on their in-depth knowledge and understanding of information management and financial systems. The Head of Advancement Operations leads the team responsible for the management of the Advancement database, gift administration, prospect research, and leads the financial monitoring of the department, working closely with the Finance team and providing complex analysis and forecasting to the Senior Management Team, Governing Board and other committees. The postholder is also responsible for maintaining and delivering regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external audiences, including quarterly committee papers.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role with a strong grasp of fundraising activity and working closely with finance teams. You will have experience of using Raiser’s Edge, Tessitura or a similar database in an educational, charity, arts or heritage fundraising department. You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and will be adept at providing advice on matters relating to information management, operations, and systems. You will demonstrate advanced experience of data analysis with the ability to provide recommendations and deliver actionable insights. You will also demonstrate excellent organisational, planning and leadership skills, ensuring team projects and targets are on track and met in full.

Duties

• To provide advice and casework support within the WLW advice team to our community members on housing, benefits, asylum support, immigration, health, education, finances, and other issues.

• To keep track of the progress of our members’ cases and ensure that they receive ongoing and holistic support.

• To support our members to understand their rights and entitlements in the areas of housing, benefits, asylum support, immigration, health, education, finances, and other issues.

• To ensure that casework records are compliant with WLW policies and procedures.

General Duties

• Work collaboratively within the WLW advice team to develop the team’s shared skills and knowledge and provide each other with support.

• Help build positive, collaborative relationships with other local and national organisations supporting refugees, asylum-seeking people and migrants.

• To gather data to contribute to the monitoring, evaluation of and reporting on WLW’s work for fundraising, communications, advocacy and reports.

• To attend staff meetings.

• To support with operational and general needs of the charity and staff team, such as with Felix Project groceries delivery, occasional Gail’s collection, and generally helping when and where required when extra help is needed.

• To attend WLW community events and activities when required.

Person Specification

Experience

• Essential: At least two years experience advising and performing casework on housing/homelessness and benefits and other related issues for people newly granted refugee status and others with the right to remain in the UK.

• Essential: Experienced in advising refugees, asylum-seeking people and migrants.

• Desirable: Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) Level 1 or Level 2 qualified in Asylum and Protection or Immigration.

• Essential: Up-to-date knowledge on one or more of the following issues: housing (particularly for refugees and asylum-seeking people), benefits, asylum support, immigration, community care, health, or related issues.

• Essential: Demonstrable commitment to migrant justice, anti-racism and equal opportunities for all.

• Desirable: Certificate in Generalist Advice work or equivalent qualification, or equivalent level of experience and skill. 

• Desirable: Lived experience of refuge or migration.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the ‘Head of Finance and Organisation Development’, the Management Accountant will play a key role across the business in improving data capture and managing reporting across the team. The Alderley Edge and Knutsford Circuit comprises five churches in Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Mobberley, Plumley and Mottram St Andrew

A key member of the Circuit Leadership Team (CLT), the prime responsibilities are to manage the Church properties within the circuit; provide financial support and reporting services appropriate to each Church and to manage and develop circuit communications. Additionally, the role will provide administrative and compliance support to the Circuit ministry team and Circuit Leadership team.

As a key member of the CLT, the job holder will play a full part in the development of the Circuit’s mission and ministry. Reporting to the Superintendent Minister, the role is full time, with flexibility over the pattern of hours worked.
