WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation. Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.  Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams. You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations.  You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France. An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids. You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations.  You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors.  Occasional trips to France. What you’ll do

As Finance Executive, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly; from processing transactions and performing reconciliations, to ensuring our partners are billed correctly and pay on time. You'll be a key point of contact for finance queries across the business, and your work will be essential to maintaining accurate records and enabling wider decision-making. You'll also play an important role in driving process improvements, and support the team by analysing data and producing insightful reports that inform decision making.

This is a varied role where you’ll get exposure to lots of different areas within the finance function of a SaaS company. It’s perfect if you’re keen to explore your interests and gain a solid grounding across multiple aspects of finance.

• Record, process and reconcile transactions for the company using platforms like Spendesk and Xero, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorised. 
• Manage our finance email inbox, responding to queries from schools, universities and employers. 
• Manage our accounts receivable processes, keeping track of overdue invoices, chasing partners for payment and recording received payments. 
• Support our sales teams with general finance related queries and keeping their partner records up to date on Salesforce (our CRM system).
• Improve, streamline and automate processes within the finance function. 
• Get involved with projects such as:
  • Setting up a simple way to keep track of the subscriptions we pay for, and make sure we’re getting good value from them.
  • Finding solutions to increase the number of invoices paid on time.
  • Creating useful reports and dashboards on Salesforce to aid decision making. 
• Support the Finance Lead to:
  • Prepare the payroll for our accountants (including commission calculations) and manage associated schemes (e.g. pension contributions).
  • Manage our accounts payable processes, making and recording payments. 
  • Work on forecasting and variance analysis to support business planning.
  • Check through our quarterly VAT return.
  • Manage the banking for our much smaller Hong Kong and US companies.
• Support the Head of Finance (your line manager) to:

Who we’re looking for

You’ve got some experience in a finance or operations role, or you can demonstrate that you’ve built the relevant skills in another setting and are ready to learn more.

We’re a small but mighty team of 3 within Finance (this role included). You’ll be line managed by the Head of Finance and will be working very closely with our Finance Lead too. You’ll also have regular contact with most people across the Unifrog, especially our partner-facing teams and the People team. You’ll also be liaising with our external accountants who take lead with the financial accounting and payroll side of things.

The role of Finance Officer is critical to our success, working across all parts of the charity to support our life-saving work in cancer prevention.

Finance

· Take responsibility for managing an effective and efficient finance function and producing timely reports which enable effective decision-making by the CEO and the Board.

· Lead on the production of the annual budget and work with others to project incoming funds.

People

· Lead on the delivery of effective and efficient HR operations across the full employee/volunteer lifecycle and drive key initiatives and activities which contribute to Survive being a great place to work or volunteer.

· Support our managers, staff and volunteers with day-to-day HR needs to ensure consistency and compliance.

Outline of main duties

Finance

· Provide effective oversight of the day-to-day banking, invoicing, expenses and supplier payments on Sage accounting software.

· Prepare and present timely and accurate financial data for the Finance and Resources Sub Committee and the Board including management accounts, cashflow monitoring, expenditure by funder, variance reporting against budget lines and live forecasts.

· Mange fund accounting including restricted, unrestricted and designated funds and comply with external funders’ requirements.  

· Contribute to Finance and Resources Sub Committee meetings and provide advice on financial forecasts, budget planning, policy development, reserves and investments.

· Develop an annual budget for the year ahead and assist the Fundraising Sub Committee to produce budgets for grant proposals and scenario planning.

· Prepare Survive’s accounts for independent examination by the appointed Accountants and hold administrative responsibility for the successful completion of the annual financial statements and the annual report, and the timely submission to the Charity Commission and Companies House.

· Administer the payroll for Survive employees, liaising with the outsourced payroll provider. Make the relevant payments to HMRC including the annual P11D amount. Administer the Survive pension scheme and ensure the correct contributions are paid each month.

· Produce financial monitoring KPIs, statistics and reports for grant applications, funders, Board of Trustees and other organisational and strategic planning as required

· Line manage and develop the Finance and People Administrator.

People

· Deliver the People strand of Survive’s strategy and chair People Sub Committee meetings, maintain and develop People policies and procedures.

· Provide training on Survive’s People policies to the management team to ensure consistency and understanding.

· Provide support for all HR queries including applying policies appropriately.

· Manage staff benefits, calculating entitlements, enrolling onto schemes and answering queries.

· Provide information on the Survive pension scheme to staff and enrolling them into the scheme as appropriate.

· Source training courses as required and oversee management of Survive’s e-learning accounts. Co-ordinate team training days and ad-hoc training sessions.

· Contribute to the monthly internal newsletter to keep the whole team informed about internal and external news, training opportunities and resources.

· Co-ordinate the annual health and wellbeing survey, and lead on making improvements following inputs and suggestions from the Survive team.

· Oversee maintenance of HR system (HR Breathe) and ensure that data is accurate, complete and up to date.

· Maintain existing and work towards gaining new accreditations such as Disability Confident.

· Support hiring managers with the recruitment process including placing adverts, receiving and anonymising applications, arranging interviews. Be part of the shortlisting and or interviewing panels as required.

· Prepare and deliver organisational inductions to all new employees and volunteers.

· Maintain and oversee efficient HR administration for the joiners and leavers processes.

· Monitor the data that Survive holds for staff, volunteers and trustees in order to comply with organisational policy and UK GDPR.

Person Specification – Finance and People Manager 

Qualifications 

• Qualified by experience or hold a professional accounting qualification. HR qualification preferable.

Experience, knowledge and skills 

• Understanding of financial and HR systems (we use Sage and Breathe HR) and Microsoft Office packages.
• Understanding of charity finance including reporting on restricted income and expenditure and managing reserves.

We are looking for an experienced Campaigns Manager, who is passionate about driving change and has knowledge and experience of Communications and managing staff. This is a temporary post, whilst we go out to recruitment for a permanent post, during the busiest time of the year for White Ribbon.

The post holder will be leading our national flagship campaign – White Ribbon Day (25th November) and the following 16 days of activism, ensuring existing plans are fully developed and delivered and the campaign meets its goals and targets.

Close working with the Business Development Manager and the Accreditation and Training team will be required. 

You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and reporting to the Board of Trustees on the success of the campaign.

Head of Finance
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience

Joining the Executive Team and playing a central role in shaping the charity’s future, you will:

• Lead, manage and continually improve the finance function
• Provide accurate, timely financial reports to the CEO, Executive Team and Trustees
• Be Executive Lead for the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee
• Oversee financial accounts, forecasting and reporting for large-scale programmes and estate developments
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including annual audits and reporting to the Charity Commission and Companies House
• Monitor cash flow, reserves and performance against the annual business plan
• Contribute to cross-organisation strategy and support colleagues on shared initiatives
• Lead and develop a small Finance team, including the Senior Finance Manager, Debt Recovery Consultant, Development Partnerships Lead and two Finance Officers
• Oversee IT and systems to ensure they are efficient, modern and aligned with organisational needs

This is a role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across all departments, ensuring the charity has the financial insight and stability to deliver life-changing projects.
 
About you
You’ll be a qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience, ideally gained within a charity. You’ll bring:

• Confidence in leading finance operations and processes with strong attention to detail
• Experience of statutory reporting, VAT (including partial exemption) and financial compliance in a charity setting
• The ability to explain complex financial information clearly to colleagues and trustees
• Experience of introducing improved reporting tools and supporting others to use them
• Proven success in managing and developing teams
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the credibility and gravitas to influence at senior level
• A collaborative mindset – you thrive when working across teams to achieve shared goals

The Role

As Global Head of Finance, you will lead a small, dedicated international team, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across UK and US entities.

You’ll play a key role on the Fund’s management team, ensuring financial integrity, promoting sustainable growth, and partnering across functions to embed strong financial practices organisation-wide.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to guide long-term financial direction while staying closely connected to day-to-day operations and people.

Duties include, but aren’t limited to:

• Financial planning, reporting and strategy: managing annual budget cycle, produce monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports.
• Compliance, Audit and Risk Management: Oversee annual audits for both US and UK entities, support compliance checks and procurement systems meet organisational and donor requirements.
• Investment, Treasury and External Relations: Monitor and management investment and cash accounts across both the US and UK – optimising returns. Managing external banking, investment and lease negotiations, managing annual vendor negotiations and renewals globally.
• Systems optimisation and process improvement.
• Team leadership: Lead and support the finance team, reviewing outputs, resolving issues to support high performance. Oversee financial training to all budget holders to maintain financial literacy and accountability across the organisation.

Essential experience

The successful candidate will possess blends of technical financial expertise with operational leadership with a continuous commitment to purpose-driven work. You will have:

• Professional financial qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Senior-level finance experience in an international charity or NGO sector.
• Strong familiarity with both UK SORP and US GAAP.
• Proven extensive knowledge of strategic financial leadership.
