THE DETAILS
Feeling Strong is an exciting Dundee-based charity with the ambition to improve the lives of young people living with mental health and wellbeing challenges by fostering the skills, confidence and aspirations they need to flourish. Our services are designed by young people, delivered by young people for the benefit of young people, and we believe that this youth-led/peer-led approach is our biggest asset in tackling issues around mental health and wellbeing. We support stable recovery journeys for young people, lead campaigns to tackle societal issues, develop quality resources based on our own research, and tackle the disparity they face in unemployment, underemployment and accessing opportunities like further and higher education.
YOUR COMMITMENT
Whilst the Trustee Board meets for formal meetings 6 times a year, successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the organisation more widely, taking part in fundraisers, external events, strategic planning and advising the staff team when needed. The average contribution expected of Trustees is around one - two hours per month.
Work-related travel costs will be reimbursed.

Love Leeds Parks seeks to ensure people in Leeds have a green space that they love on their doorstep. What we are looking for
We are currently looking for a trustee with skills and experience in finance.
This post would suit:

Treasurer role and responsibility
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your financial skills to make a meaningful impact within our charity.
As Treasurer, you’ll play a key role in overseeing our financial health, helping to ensure we remain sustainable and accountable as we deliver our mission.
You will attend bi-monthly trustee meetings (c.90 minutes each) – most of these take place online, with three in-person meetings held each year in Kirkstall. Meetings take place on a Monday, 5 - 6:30pm.
In addition to attending trustee meetings you will:
• Ensure that income is acknowledged and allocated to the correct heading.
• Book keeping roughly 2 hours per month, bank to accounts, allocating transactions, labelling and filing evidence.
• Ensure expenditure has been properly incurred, payments are made and similarly allocated and cashflow maintained.
• Provide the trustee board with a quarterly report on the accounts including a projection for the year ahead (rolling management accounts).
• Produce the annual accounts subject to independent examination by an accountant .
• Work with the CEO and some trustees to develop income growth plans.
• Contribute to the maintenance of financial policies.
• Advise the Board of regulation and tax implications as the turnover grows.
We are a small charity and so the volume of bank transactions is relatively low with 3 – 10 online authorisations per month. Payroll is contracted to Voluntary Action Leeds. There would be a transition period and handover/shared duties with our current treasurer. This is an unpaid trustee role – expenses incurred in undertaking the role will be reimbursed.

About the role.

We’re looking for a thoughtful and commercially astute leader who can bring strategic insight, inclusive leadership, and strong business skills to a growing, values-led enterprise. You’ll be confident in helping shape future growth while ensuring that decisions are rooted in purpose, financial accountability, and impact. You will also act as a supportive but constructively challenging Chair, able to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders and provide a trusted sounding board for the CEO. Experience of social enterprise leadership or growth would be hugely valuable, alongside expertise in business development, marketing, or digital innovation in technology-enabled environments. Experience in a non-executive or trustee role is helpful but not essential.
What matters most is your ability to balance commercial focus with charity governance, and your motivation to contribute to Migrant Help’s mission. RSPCA London South East Branch
Do you have professional expertise you could use to help a good cause? Are you passionate about animal welfare? Become our principal communications trustee and help us to maintain our branches affairs and improve animals’ lives.
Overview of the Branch Secretary opportunity
As a Branch Secretary, you would be in an essential volunteer role as the principal communications trustee managing and maintaining the administrative affairs of our branch. Using your expertise and skills, you will be able to influence how we care for and prevent cruelty to animals and drive the implementation of key initiatives.
As a minimum, trustees would normally be expected to attend a monthly committee meeting lasting some 2 to 3 hours. However, the commitment may vary depending on whether the trustee takes on additional duties.
About the RSPCA

The RSPCA London South East Branch
The London South East Branch is one of the branches of RSPCA, but we are also a separately registered charity looking after animals in our local area. Much of the animal welfare work of RSPCA is carried out through local branches, which is run by volunteers who have the support of the National Society of RSPCA.
The London South East Branch has two retail shops (Sydenham Road and Norwood Road) and supports the work of the Inspectorate through rehoming of animals within the branch area.
Primary responsibilities of the Branch Secretary
- To act as the primary contact point for all branch communications with the national Society, the branch committee, and the branch membership.
- Arrange branch meetings, ensure accurate minutes are taken and distributed in accordance with branch rules.
- Ensure all branch committee decisions are implemented and actions completed.
- Arrange the branch AGM including the compilation and distribution of the annual report, nominations, and agenda in line with the strict timetable laid down in the branch rules.
- Arrange the timely dissemination of the contents of all correspondence and literature received by the branch, ensuring availability to all committee members, and reply to all branch correspondence where necessary.
- Order and distribute RSPCA stationery, leaflets, posters and other fundraising and promotional material.
- Liaise with the Branch Partnership Manager (BPM) and group chief inspector and notify them of all branch meetings.
- Advise the BSS of all changes to branch facilities, services, and contact details.
- In the absence of the membership secretary, assume responsibility for the maintenance of the branch membership list.
- Submit recommendations for national Society awards to the BSS, in accordance with the wishes of the committee.
Core Branch Trustee responsibilities
- Appreciate and support the aims and policies of the RSPCA.
- Work in conjunction with fellow trustees and branch officers and jointly act in making decisions for the best interest of the branch and the RSPCA.
- Work with national RSPCA staff to ensure that the branch meets all minimum animal welfare standards (MAWS).
- In conjunction with your fellow trustees and Branch Partnership Manager write, adopt, monitor, and review a development plan setting out the short and long term aims of your branch.
- Actively participate in branch committee meetings and to attend the branch annual general meeting and regional conference.
- Be aware of the outcome of regional board meetings and support regional initiatives.
- Actively promote and advertise the society in an ongoing programme to recruit new branch trustees and volunteers and welcome new members.
- In conjunction with your fellow trustees, ensure the proper management and control of all activities and decisions relating to any premises held or staff employed by the branch if applicable.
What we are looking for in a volunteer:
Above all, we are looking for someone who is committed to the RSPCA’s charitable objectives and shares our passion for animal welfare.
Specific skills such as finance, fundraising, project management, business experience, awareness of employment and/or charity legislation can be useful, but not essential.
You will need to be able to work with people and have good interpersonal skills. You do not need to be an expert, although commitment, common sense, and the ability to be objective are vital.
No previous trustee experience? That’s OK! We welcome applications from anyone interested in developing their skills by becoming a trustee and will provide relevant training.

- We will provide you with a comprehensive trustee training course which will provide you will everything you need to carry out the role.
- Ongoing support is also provided by regional and national RSPCA staff in addition to any additional training provided by the relevant branch.

Practical considerations
- Please also note that to become a Trustee, you will need to be aged 18 or over and a member of our branch for three months before you are eligible to be elected.
- Trustees are elected for a 12-month term each year.
- Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
- Trustees must sign a Trustee Declaration of Willingness to Act to clarify that they are not disqualified from being a trustee and read the Charity Commission’s guidance for individuals on who cannot be a trustee or senior manager of a charity.

About the Stephen Dodgson Charitable Trust
The Stephen Dodgson Charitable Trust was established in 2015 to support musicians (including professional, student, schools music groups and community groups) and celebrate the music and legacy of British composer Stephen Dodgson (1924–2013). Stephen Dodgson had a long, distinguished and multifaceted career as a composer, Professor at the Royal College of Music and Radio 3 broadcaster. His musical voice could be both playful and deeply evocative, and he was much loved as a mentor to younger generations of musicians that worked with and taught.
The Trust awards grants to musicians, ensembles, festivals, educational institutions and arts organisations that perform, record or raise awareness of Dodgson’s music in line with the Trust’s charitable aims. The Trust responds to external grant applications and we also curate our own artistic and commemorative projects. A small, dedicated Board of Trustees works closely with the Trust CEO to guide and support the organisation’s work, ensuring funds are used thoughtfully and make a lasting, meaningful difference to the classical music community.
Recent projects also include a beautiful centenary book, a collection of essays and fond reminiscences about Stephen Dodgson – the man and the musician – which came out in 2024.

About the Role
The Trust is looking for a Treasurer to join our Board and take the lead in overseeing the charity’s finances. This is a key role, offering the chance to make a direct impact on the Trust’s ability to support musicians and projects with confidence and transparency.
The Treasurer is responsible for both strategic oversight and hands-on financial management — from preparing budgets and reports to supporting the Chair, CEO and fellow Trustees in financial planning and risk management. This rewarding role will help many interesting and worthwhile projects come to fruition and includes plenty of opportunities to enjoy attending concerts and other similar events. This role would suit someone with financial management skills or similar, and a fair knowledge of and interest in classical music, arts funding, and charitable work more generally. A good communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with others and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to promote music and musicians – especially young musicians will thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities
As a Trustee
- Help guide the Trust’s overall strategy and governance
- Ensure the charity’s funds are managed responsibly and in line with our objectives

As Treasurer

The role of a trustee is varied and rewarding. It includes:

About It’s Time:
It’s Time is a charity created by and for young adults who have experienced the death of a parent. Founded by people who know this grief first-hand, the charity ensures no one aged 18–35 has to navigate such loss alone. Through peer-led support, events, free group therapy, and tailored resources, It’s Time offers connection and understanding during an often isolating time. The charity also partners with universities, workplaces, and families to promote better bereavement support - recognising that grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and the help offered to young adults shouldn’t either.
The charity was founded in 2021 and we now run local peer support groups throughout England, have a year long waiting list for our group therapy and supports around 500 people in the online community. Role Overview

Position Overview
Based in Madagascar, this position will work in SEED’s Community Health Department on maternal and child health (MCH), sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender-based violence (GBV). We use community-led, participatory approaches, working with local communities to identify and implement projects that meet their needs and priorities. It is a superb opportunity for an early career development professional to be part of a team of national and international staff supporting the development, funding, reporting and evaluation of our community health programmes.
Primary responsibilities include the writing of donor reports and proposals, providing additional support to the project team surrounding project management and monitoring and evaluation. The role is predominantly office-based with some travel to rural communities. The diversity of activities undertaken will provide a wide-ranging experience for an early career development professional who can effectively and efficiently deal with a comprehensive range of tasks related to the complex world of overseas development.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Write project reports, to a high standard of English, that clearly demonstrate the successes and challenges of our community health projects and provide clear budgetary information
2. Compile funding proposals based on past evaluation, team discussion and International best practice in an engaging and professional manner
3. Conduct internet searches and searches through SEED’s funder database for potential donors to fund projects
4. Take a leading role in gathering statistics and ensure that all existing statistics relating to the projects are accurate
5. Work alongside the Communications and Media Officer to build a communications plan for the community health projects, writing regular Facebook, blog posts and website copy
6. Support the development of projects that fulfil local need and sit within the aims of SEED taking into account research findings, local needs and constraints, government objectives and SEED’s previous experience
7. Conduct research into international best practices with regard to SEED’s community health programme and take the lead in discussing these with the team
8. Monitor and update project trackers according to project activities, ensuring the project is on track to meet project indicators and objectives
9. Take an active role in project management meetings, leading these where appropriate
10. Take an active part in international team meetings and support to other members of the team
11. Work with national staff in increasing their skills and capacity, providing mentoring or training where appropriate
12. Assist in data collection and basic analysis where required and where there is an Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist in post assist them in developing monitoring and evaluation tools and completing MEL reports for projects
13. Work alongside the Head of Project Development and Head of Finance in developing and managing the budgets relating to projects
14. Maintain a database of projects and funders alongside the UK and remote team
15. Form part of the team representing projects or SEED when required.
16. Liaise with the UK team in London ensuring clear communication at all times.
17. Ensure all of SEED’s policies and procedures are evident throughout the work of the department, including those for safeguarding, whistleblowing and anticorruption, and undertake continual training to ensure these are promoted at all times
18. Complete other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Programme Officer, Head of Community Health Programmes or Director of Operations and Heads of Departments to further the aims and work of the organisation.
Person Specification
● Hold an undergraduate in or relating to Global Health, Public Health, International Development or have transferable skills or equivalent experience
● Minimum of 1-3 years professional experience of securing funding, project management, donor compliance and donor reporting
● Demonstrate strong writing skills. Previous experience in grant-writing is an asset.
● Demonstrate sound knowledge and keen interest in MCH, SRHR and GBV and its interface with international development

What do we ask of you?

The Bromley Experts by Experience Treasurer will help the board of trustees carry out their financial responsibilities, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chair of Trustees and staff team in establishing strong foundations for this Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation with a view to a financially sustainable future. You will also be supporting us in developing our future approach to financial management, making the most of financial modelling, and supporting clear reporting to funders, partners and stakeholders.
The Treasurer will play a vital role, working with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chair of Trustees and staff team to help the organisation ensure sound financial records, develop income streams, and build impact reports. As part of a new, expanded board of trustees at Bromley Experts by Experience, you will provide effective financial oversight, supporting the CEO and senior staff members in developing our vision and strategy to ensure a financially sustainable future.

Responsibilities of the Treasurer:
- Present financial reports to the board in a format that helps fellow trustees understand X by X Bromley’s financial position.
- Advise the board on how to carry out its financial responsibilities.
- Work with professional advisors and staff, as needed to oversee the preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts.
- Ensure X by X Bromley activities benefit its members and beneficiaries.

What we ask of you:
- The Treasurer should expect to serve for a minimum of 12 months.
- The Treasurer is required to attend scheduled meetings with some ad hoc meetings where necessary.
- It is anticipated that the time commitment will be an approximate average of 2.5 hours per week. This will mainly comprise of:
- Board meeting attendance (plus preparation thereof) every 8 weeks,
- AGM attendance (plus preparation of papers and accounts),
- Supporting our annual Disability Pride event.
- Regular scheduled meetings with senior staff.
- As we are a very small charity, there could be occasions when extra time will be required (e.g. during the planning of new projects or dealing with any particular difficulties that arise), or where additional support would be appreciated (e.g. attending events, meeting members at project days).

We organise various community events for example an Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Fayre and Coach outing to the coast.

Employment support - provided by partners at the Hub to assist path to employment and increase employability. Up-skilling and training of volunteers and Lead volunteers to put skills back into our community, IT support
The Board is currently composed of six trustees and two associate trustees. We employ a manager, four part time office staff and three caretakers who conduct the work of the charity. There are about 60 volunteers and 20 Wellbeing Champions involved in the Hub, carrying out activities such as IT support, reception duties, Repair cafe etc. During the winter months we run a 'Warm Hub' where people of reduced means can receive a cup of tea, biscuits and a friendly welcome.
