As Director of Fundraising, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team delivering on the strategic objectives of the charity with responsibility for raising £4m this financial year in voluntary income for the Childhood Trust across trusts & foundations, corporates, major donors and community.  Delivering growth year on year to support the ambitious plans of the organisation.  Directly managing three ‘Heads Of’ fundraising roles, you will create a new fundraising strategy, steer the fundraising team’s activities, secure funding, and cultivate relationships that fuel our mission.

About the Role

As Financial Controller, you will lead on the integrity and efficiency of Sadler’s Wells’ finance operations, ensuring strong financial stewardship across our group of charities and companies. This is a senior and visible position within the finance team, with responsibility for overseeing financial records, controls, compliance, systems and reporting.

You will provide leadership to the transactional finance team and act as a key partner to departments including Catering & Events. Working closely with the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will play a critical role in delivering reliable management information, supporting insightful analysis, and enabling informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial transaction processing, ensuring accuracy across purchase and sales ledgers, payroll, banking and supporting systems.
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes, producing timely and reliable management information and statutory accounts.
• Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with audit, tax, payroll and statutory requirements.
• Act as Systems Accountant, driving adoption and optimisation of financial systems to improve efficiency.
• Provide clear and supportive line management to the transactional finance team, motivating and developing colleagues.
• Partner with colleagues across the organisation, particularly Catering & Events, to ensure effective financial support and insight.
• Manage banking relationships, mitigate fraud risk, and support treasury and compliance frameworks.

Overall Job Purpose

This role is pivotal in making sure the HR & Culture team is a credible, approachable and proactive department and supports staff and volunteers to achieve DENS’ organisational aims. As the first point of contact for advice and support on all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment to exit, you’ll keep on top of tasks and take ownership of supporting staff and managers with their HR queries. Supported by the Head of HR & Culture, you will deliver a service that is timely, accurate, consistent and compliant.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to all HR and training queries, support staff with their HR needs such as recruitment, induction, absence, pay and benefits, escalating to the Head of HR & Culture where needed.

• Support the Head of HR & Culture to review, develop and maintain standard frameworks and documents for all HR processes, to ensure consistency of approach and best practice across all teams at DENS.

• Take ownership for managing compliance within the employee life cycle, including onboarding, offboarding, ensuring letters are produced, spreadsheets/databases are updated and associated paperwork collected.

• Lead on recruitment of all posts, including preparing and posting job advertisements. Liaise with hiring managers to offer guidance on screening applications and interview questions, ensuring timely communication with candidates. Draft and issue offer letters, contracts of employment and other onboarding documentation

. • Carry out pre-employment checks including references, Right to Work and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks

. • Deliver the HR Induction for new starters and regularly review the induction process to ensure it is kept up to date and is accessible.

• Ensure payroll administration is accurately completed for the monthly cut-off date, in liaison with the Finance team and payroll provider.

• Maintain and monitor staff records, including training, appraisals, annual leave, sickness absence, ensuring that pay is adjusted accordingly in line with DENS’ policies.

• Run reports and review data on the HR system (Breathe), highlighting issues or concerns and working collaboratively to come up with ideas and solutions.

• Pension administration, ensure all our legal obligations are met and all eligible staff are signed up to the scheme, in liaison with the pension provider.

• Chair and coordinate the Mental Health Working Group

. • Update the staff handbook, phone lists and support key workforce projects e.g. wellbeing, mental health first aid, policy development, creating guidance tools and training – working with the Head of HR & Culture to communicate and promote to staff.

• Support the training and empowerment of line managers and act as their first point of contact for support with HR policies and processes and the informal stage of employee relations issues, under the guidance of the Head of HR & Culture.

• Responsible for some elements of estate management, including coordinating fire safety checks.

The Operations Coordinator will provide vital support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the organisation, providing key operations administrative support to areas including, but not limited to Facilities, Office, IT, Data, Health & Safety and Policies & Procedures.

Key responsibilities:

Facilities and Office Admin

• Act as the main point of contact for the ScreenSkills office as a key liaison with the serviced office team (Techspace), meeting and greeting visitors as a representative of the organisation, managing visitor passes etc.

• Ability to provide calm first-line basic technical support, troubleshooting issues with devices, software, hardware, meeting room AV and online platforms. Logging and tracking issues and following-up support tickets diligently.

Data and Compliance

• Coordinating data processing requirements in line with our policies. Assist with managing data as instructed and per our data handling and retention policies.
• Coordinate and track data subject access requests as these arise.

Health & Safety

• Coordinate general Health and Safety documentation within the organisation ensuring fire and general risk assessments are completed in a timely manner, working with HR to coordinate information between the Techspace team and our Fire Marshalls and First Aiders.
• Act as a First Aider and/or Fire Marshal for ScreenSkills staff.
• Arrange annual training for first aiders and fire marshals.

Policies and Procedures

• Monitor the organisation’s policies, ensuring relevant senior managers are aware of the schedule to review/update them.
• Signposting staff to relevant policies and procedures as requested.
• Coordinate and track the organisations’ complaints process.

Royal Star & Garter are a charity that provides loving, compassionate care and support to veterans and their families, both in our Homes and through services that reach into the wider community. Purpose of the role

- To provide excellent customer care to all donors, delivering optimum supporter journeys working effectively with the wider team within the Royal Star & Garter (RSG) group

- To provide fundraising support across the department and locations of our services in respect of a range of activities including fundraising events

Supporter care

- To be proactive in enabling the supporter journey with timely communications (phone, email and letters) and clear stewardship with both existing and new donors
- Ensure effective frontline support and response for donors across a range of incoming systems
- Ensure donation processes and procedures are adhered to and executed in a timely manner, in accordance with guidelines – updating those wherever required with approval by the RSG Fundraising Officer.
 
Donations and data entry

- Ensure that the fundraising CRM database is up to date and that supporters contact and financial data is accurate, including creating new records
- Complete weekly banking and allocation tasks in accordance with the approved process, liaising with the finance department to ensure that all batched income is allocated correctly
- Data inputting on the CRM to include: regular giving, importing income from external agencies including CAF and Just Giving, processing Gift Aid and accurately storing declarations
- Filing and management of paperwork, ensuring due diligence and security measures are followed.

Fundraising & volunteer support

- To provide active support to a range of events including: managing participants, sending information, monitoring online giving pages and on the day set up and pack down
- To directly source donated items and contributors to support fundraising events including raffle/auction prizes and coordinating suppliers, stallholders and entertainers 
- Coordinate and communicate with volunteers for events and corporate volunteering days and activities, ensuring they are briefed and supported
- To support any regular mailings or email contact to supporters, assisting with the cleaning and compliance of data once an agreed annual schedule is in place regular.

Other

- To manage all aspects of incoming fundraising post and dedicated inboxes along with outgoing mailings
- Ensure general department are kept up to date including attendance at meetings within RSG group wherever possible
- To be conversant with relevant fundraising legislation and the guidelines of the 
Fundraising Regulator and the GDPR
- To undertake other duties as may be required and which are consistent with the nature of the role.

Fundraising and income generation

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.

The Brent Centre for Young People 

The Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 800 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. About the Role 

BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors. Some event and project management will be required, in particular supporting the delivery of seminars and training programmes, as well as community events.

The applicant will have excellent communication skills, be able to translate the stakeholders’ (Trustees/clinicians/donors/young people) needs and broadcast them to the community. They must have hands-on skills creating and designing digital, print, and social media and the confidence to put their signature on a strong communications and marketing strategy that will maximize external partnerships.

This is a pivotal role leading the financial control and statutory reporting across multiple geographies. You’ll oversee a small, high-performing finance team, ensuring robust controls, compliance with international standards, and accurate, timely reporting.

As a trusted partner to the senior leadership team, you’ll provide strong financial stewardship, manage global audits, and drive improvements in systems and processes. The role can be offered on a four-day-per-week basis if preferred, and while the office is based in London, remote working is supported with occasional travel to the London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and oversight of robust financial controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and prevention of errors or fraud.

• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Accounting functions across multiple countries.

• Oversee payroll and intercompany balances, ensuring efficient cash management and minimisation of FX risk.

• Lead preparation of annual audits, statutory accounts, and the consolidated group financial report.

• Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements across global offices.

Experience of:

• Using fundraising CRMs, ideally Donorfy, to track income and manage relationships.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling applications and impact reports.

• Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
