The Accountable Finance Lead manages ClientEarth’s Accountable Finance team, which sits within the European Financial & Economic Systems group. The Lead is responsible for nurturing the deep legal expertise needed to drive systemic change in line with ClientEarth’s strategic priorities. The post-holder is also responsible for identifying priorities relating to their respective areas of legal practice to better protect people and nature. The Lead manages a small group of lawyers and ensures that they have the right support to ensure the effective delivery of ClientEarth’s priorities for litigation, advocacy and capacity-building.

Meet your Manager

Megan Clay recently took up the position of Head of European Financial and Economic Systems and works with lawyers across the team to implement ambitious legal strategies focussed on systemic impact. Megan was previously a lawyer in our climate team and, until recently, our Lead of Accountable Finance. Before joining ClientEarth, Megan worked as a litigation and disputes lawyer at international law firm Hogan Lovells. Megan lives with her family near Chichester and enjoys running and watersports in her spare time.

Main Duties

• People Leadership - Leads people management activities (professional and career development, sustainable working practices, regular performance review) for ClientEarth lawyers and practitioners within their sub-group 
• Community of Practice Leadership - Drives people and capability development activities through fostering effective knowledge management, upskilling and the creation and adoption of effective legal strategies, tools and templates relating to their team 
• Programme Leadership  - Contributes to the day to day work of the team as a legal expert and people leader; Represents ClientEarth and the Accountable Finance team in relevant coalitions, meetings and events, including speaking at events where appropriate.

ILPA is a charity and professional membership body working to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our training programme is a core part of our work and one of our largest income streams. In 2024/25 we delivered 67 courses and conferences to more than 2,300 practitioners across the UK, supporting lawyers, caseworkers, advisers and organisations working with migrants.

We are recruiting a Training Manager to run this programme end to end. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisation, confidence with digital platforms and the ability to work with experienced external tutors. The post holder will shape the training calendar with support from the Training Advisory Board and maintain ILPA’s reputation for high-quality, practitioner-led training.

Key Responsibilities

Programme planning and development

• Build and manage the annual and quarterly training schedule

• Work with the Training Committee to identify priorities and emerging issues

• Balance advanced and introductory content across immigration, asylum and nationality law

• Plan and support hybrid conferences and ensure high-demand sessions are scheduled in good time

Tutor and content management

• Recruit, contract and manage ILPA’s panel of external tutors

Event delivery

Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger

TAG Youth Club, an award-winning charity and a youth club open to children, young people and young adults, whatever their disability. This exciting new part time role has been created to support the CEO and Head of Operations, providing administrative support in a wide variety of areas including finance, fundraising, office systems and management, premises, promotion, marketing and communications. 

Financial administration includes input and reconciliation of all financial data and ensures efficient reporting, analysis and measurement of data and financial information against set timescales, targets and objectives. H/she will support annual budget preparation and will contribute to the Annual Report.

I am recruiting s permanent, fully remote Finance Business Manager for a well known UK based Charity. Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance, your role as the Finance Business Manager will be to provide leaders and managers with financial data and analysis, alongside providing support in order to equip Budget holders to make effective business decisions. You will also monitor key financial risks and opportunities through financial data, modelling and reporting in relation to period end, forecasting and budgeting.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team at Scope. In this role, you will provide strategic financial insight, challenge, and guidance to our Fundraising and Charitable Activity teams, managing a combined budget of around £30 million. You will help us deliver on our strategic priorities, including closing the disability employment gap and ending the extra costs of disability.

As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with senior leaders, budget holders, and colleagues across Scope to make sure that financial insight is at the heart of our decision-making, helping us to deliver the greatest impact.

You will:

· Understand, analyse, and present large amounts of complex data in a clear way.

· Partner with budget holders to understand financial needs and provide proactive advice and analysis to support decision-making.

· Deliver transparent and accountable budgeting and forecasting processes.

· Provide accurate, insightful reporting, ensuring commentary and analysis add real value.

· Review financial proposals for investment and assess return on investment (ROI) on all fundraising spend across multiple years.

· Coach and influence teams, helping them understand financial performance and act on insight.

· Build strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including auditors and suppliers.

· Take ownership and responsibility for the accounts and embrace change.

About you

We are looking for someone who can combine technical financial expertise with strong relationship management skills. You’ll be confident working with large amounts of data, interpreting results, and presenting insights in a clear and impactful way.

To be successful, you will have:

· Experience of providing financial insight to senior leaders that influenced decisions.

· Strong knowledge of fundraising accounting, including gift aid, forecasting individual giving subscriptions, legacies, and donations, preparing cost analysis for funding bids, and allocation of restricted funds.

· Experience of proactively guiding budget holders through the budget setting process.

· Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

· The confidence to challenge and influence decisions at senior level.

It would be great if you also bring:

· Understanding of the social model of disability.

· Knowledge of charity accounting and VAT partial recovery.

· An accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).

The Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the Programme Finance Officer role is to provide financial and administrative support to ensure effective financial management of programmes and projects implemented in the UK. The postholder supports the Programme Finance Manager with budgeting, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting, as well as performing key transactional tasks such as reviewing and processing invoices, verifying supporting documentation, preparing payment requests, and reconciling project accounts.

The postholder ensures financial accuracy, compliance with donor and organisational policies, and contributes to the timely delivery of high-quality programme financial information.

Scope and Authority 

•  Acts under the supervision of the Programme Finance Manager and in accordance with organisational financial policies and procedures.

•  Authorised to review and verify programme-related financial documents (e.g. invoices, expense claims, timesheets) for accuracy and compliance prior to submission for approval.

•  May prepare and process payment requests, journal entries, and financial reconciliations, subject to approval by the Programme Finance Manager.

•  Authorised to communicate with internal departments on financial matters within assigned programmes.

•  May represent the finance unit in meetings when delegated by the Programme Finance Manager.

Responsibility for Resources:

Financial Resources

Responsible for accurately processing and monitoring programme financial transactions, including reviewing invoices, expense claims, partner financial reports, and payment requests in line with approved budgets and financial policies. Supports the Programme Finance Manager in ensuring effective use of programme funds and adherence to donor and organisational financial requirements.

Information and Data

Responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records, databases, and supporting documentation for all programme activities. Ensures confidentiality and integrity of financial data and compliance with data protection policies.

Human Resources

Responsible for providing financial guidance, training, and support to programme staff and implementing partners but has no direct line management responsibilities.

Key Working Relationships

o  Programme Finance Manager – direct supervisor; receives guidance and provides regular updates on financial matters.

o  Programme Managers – collaborates on budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.

Key Accountabilities

Budgeting and Monitoring (45%)

•  Assist in the preparation of budgets 
•  Processing budgets and reforecasts into the finance system 
•  Prepare monthly Budget vs Actual reports for programme managers to identify under or overspending

Financial Management and Reporting  (25%)

•  Ensure accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of programme finances by maintaining up-to-date and true financial records 
•  Month-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy within the accounts. 
•  Journal processing 
•  Support the Programme Finance Manager in producing timely and compliant financial reports for both internal and donor requirements.

Transactional Processes, Compliance and Training (20%)

•  To be a finance super-user to support colleagues in areas such as finance system queries, invoice processing, coding and staff expenses
•  Create step-by-step guidance notes 
•  Lead on finance-related staff training to promote compliance with organisational policies and donor regulations. 

General Administrative support (10%)

•  Tracking & disseminating client supplies and managing inventory for vouchers, SIM cards, laptops etc. 
•  Setting up new clients and Community Advisory Board members on Integra with supply chain and processing client reimbursements 
•  Supporting orders of programme supplies such as client and service provider handbook orders

Person Specification

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston Upon Thames. We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. We are organisational members of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and we work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

The Service Manager will provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of a  high-quality service for our clients. This role will drive continuous learning, service improvements, and strong partnership engagement to ensure that KBS provides the best support possible. We are looking for a committed and passionate person who can work as part of a small team to provide a professional, effective, and quality service, ensuring that equal opportunities are available for everyone.
