The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a strategic and analytical Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting the College’s mission to improve child health by ensuring effective financial planning, reporting, and business partnering across the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead on the annual budgeting and forecasting process, produce regular financial performance reports, and develop financial models to support key strategic decisions. You will ensure that the College’s leadership has access to clear, insightful analysis to guide financial and operational planning.

You will foster a culture of effective business partnering, providing expert financial advice and support to budget holders and colleagues across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the annual budgeting process and developing regular reforecasts in alignment with the College’s strategic priorities

The Finance & Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for the financial sustainability, compliance and operational effectiveness of the charity. The postholder will lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, rent and service charge accounting, housing benefit income and statutory reporting.

Alongside this, the role has strategic responsibility for office and refuge operations, including facilities management, health and safety, and central administrative systems.

The Finance & Operations Manager will work closely with the Director, Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees, manage key external relationships, and line manage finance and operations staff.

Our partner, an established UK charity with a focus on fighting poverty by transforming access to health care services in lower- and middle-income countries in Africa seeks a highly dynamic individual for a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension. Finance
•Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate.
Financial accounting
•Prepare annual statutory accounts in accordance with SORP 2015.

As Finance and Operations Manager at Fight Bladder Cancer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and building our finance and operational functions at a strategic level.

You will support all aspects of the charity’s work and development through the provision of strong financial assistance - ensuring accurate financial reporting, sales and other invoicing, bookkeeping, grant management and payroll management.

Every day millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need care at some point in our lives.

About the role 

The Finance & IT Operations manager ensures effective financial management and control throughout ASC overseeing financial administration, reporting and compliance.

The role provides guidance and support on financial matters to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in areas such as cash flow, audit and tax whilst ensuring that budget holders across ASC are well supported with tools and skills. 1. Financial Management and Reporting

The Senior Finance Manager ensures the smooth running of daily financial operations and supports timely, accurate reporting for the theatre. Working closely with the Finance Director (FD), the role involves advising on process improvements, preparing for the annual audit, and deputising for the FD when required. This position is ideal for someone progressing toward an advanced accountancy qualification, with previous experience in a similar role.

As Finance Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day finance operations at B Lab UK, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, strong controls and effective oversight of transactional finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll oversee our outsourced accounting service, manage our in-house Accounts Receivable function, and play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, audit and financial planning.

Working collaboratively as a strategic partner, you’ll help embed efficient and effective ways of working that support organisational growth, sustainability and impact.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing and liaising with our outsourced accounting service to ensure accurate and timely financial records.

• Overseeing invoicing, income collection and aged debt reporting.

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including analysis and narrative for budget-holders and the Leadership Team.

• Developing and maintaining financial procedures and controls to protect B Lab UK’s assets.

• Supporting financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.

• Providing clear financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Supporting the annual audit process and statutory accounts under Charity SORP.

• Line managing the Senior Finance Officer and Credit Controller, supporting their development and performance.

• Contributing to Finance & Operations projects, including systems and process improvements.

The kind of things we’re looking for…

• A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience) who is committed to ongoing professional development and raising the bar in their practice.

• Strong experience preparing management accounts and confidently explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues in a clear, supportive way.

• Demonstrable experience establishing, improving and maintaining robust financial controls and processes.

• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, with an improvement-focused approach that looks beyond the status quo.

• A solid understanding of charity finance, including statutory accounts, VAT and audit processes (or the motivation and capability to develop this quickly).

• Proven ability to line manage and support a small team, bringing out the best in others and fostering collaboration.

• Strong communication skills, with the confidence and integrity to guide stakeholders through complex financial matters.

• An analytical, solutions-focused mindset, with experience developing systems or processes that help teams go further together.
