We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. We’ve made a significant investment in our Microsoft suite and have transitioned services to Azure. We’re also building a cloud infrastructure to support the Organisation’s mission critical data use improvement project.

Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.

This role is responsible for:

• Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
• Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
• Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
• Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
• Ensuring systems are highly accessible and available
• Advice to the Organisation on best practice on technology

For this role we’re looking for:

• Broad expert technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure based on both cloud and on premise Microsoft technologies
• Knowledge of Dynamics CRM 365 and associated technology
• Knowledge of Azure services, PowerApps, DataVerse
• Knowledge of sound backup and security protocols
• SQL (SSIS, SSRS) knowledge
• Experience of managing external stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers
• Service Management experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Systems Manager to join our team. As Operations and Systems Manager, you will ensure SMK’s operations are well managed, and make sure that we have all the processes, technology and policies needed to operate effectively. We’re looking for someone to take initiative to improve things where needed and bring their experience from elsewhere to the team.   

The Operations and Systems Manager will work closely with the CEO, Board and staff team of 6, and hold the relationships with our external IT, Accounting and HR providers. You will also play a key role within the organisation in shaping culture and supporting staff to carry out their roles to the best of their abilities.

Our office base is located in central London. About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Finance department and provide a first-class management accounting service across the Museum.

The Museum is undergoing an extraordinary transformation, as part of its long-term Masterplan. We have built a new state-of-the-art collection research centre near Reading, begun construction of a new Energy Centre, and appointed world-renowned architect Lina Ghotmeh to rejuvenate and redevelop our Western Range - accounting for over a third of our galleries.

This Management Accountant role will have a particular focus on the Masterplan's capital programme, and particularly the Energy Centre. The Energy Centre is an essential part of our journey to a net-zero carbon future. It introduces a modern, site-wide upgrade to our primary heating and electrical infrastructure.

This role will work very closely with the Estates and Capital Projects team preparing timely and accurate management accounts, analysis and forecasts for the capital programme, helping to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks, such as preparing material for our consolidated financial statements and liaising with internal and external auditors, partnering with departments to deliver projects, and contributing to the Museum-wide budgeting process.

Key areas of responsibility

• Working with the management accountants and accounts processing team to provide best practice accounting, processing and reporting services to all Museum staff.
• Preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
• Preparation of material for the consolidated financial statements and liaise with the auditors.

As Business Operations Manager, you’ll play a critical role in enhancing, embedding and embodying organisational and operational effectiveness.

• Manage the delivery of our annual organisational business planning process, supporting the Head of Operations and partnering with our leadership team, Heads of department and managers to ensure the planning cycle runs smoothly.

• Embed a structured approach to reporting and monitoring.

• Optimise internal knowledge management systems and communication channels to drive clear, effective and consistent internal communication.

• Facilitate access to robust and clean operational data in order to enable data-driven decisions.

• Advise and guide a programme of measuring ourselves against the B Corp Standards.

The Corporate Volunteering Manager plays a central role in this by managing our successful and impactful Corporate Volunteering Programme. Each year through this programme, we train hundreds of volunteers from our corporate partners to visit primary schools and share examples of how maths has helped them as adults, both in their careers and personal lives.

This crucial work helps change us to the inter-generational narrative about numeracy in the UK. Maths is not just something you ‘have to do at school’, but is a valuable skill that helps us get on at work, and manage our time and our money. The programme has been running for three years now, and this year’s activity looks set to have meaningful impact on at least 17,000 children across the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring that volunteers are adequately trained, for recruiting appropriate schools for them to visit, and all the admin and reporting that supports the programme.

We are looking for someone who can ‘own the programme’, is committed to improving our processes and the efficiency of delivery, with strong line management skills, and a commitment to the professional development for the Corporate Volunteering Programmes Assistant.

About the role

St Albans City and District Council is seeking a skilled Financial Transactions Supervisor to oversee accounts payable, receivable, and cash handling operations. You will supervise a small team, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and reconciliations. About you
