AfID is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in international NGO grant audit services for development donors such as the UN and the World Bank. Assignments would suit experienced qualified audit professionals with grant audit / management experience, ideally in a not-for-profit/ international development context
Role overview.
Complete international grant expenditure audits for a diverse range of projects (grant recipients) funded by international donor institutions ranging from emergency aid, to long term development in areas such as agriculture, health or infrastructure or technical research. Assignments are 1-3 weeks in length and based across the European mainland and the developing world. These are offered on an assignment by assignment basis, one to two months in advance.
Contractors can be based outside the UK
Requirements
- Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent – 5+ years post qualified experience
- Grant management and audit and reporting experience with international institutions. Preference given to individuals that have worked on UN or EC grant assurance assignments
- Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity while working with a hugely diverse range of clients and beneficiaries
- A real interest in international development and associated funding structures
- Ideally but not essential fluency in a second language such as Spanish, German, French, Arabic & Portugese
- Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills in English.

Personal attributes:
- At least 5-10+ years of relevant audit experience
- Ability to work under pressure; Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Sound technical and analytical skills, report writing and presentation skills
Passionate about international travel and development and willing to work in international locations. Individual must be prepared to travel to challenging locations when it is deemed safe to do so. Individuals must also be able to demonstrate effective past working practices when working remotely with a range of clients.

The Governance and Compliance Lead will be a key member of the organisation's senior management team, responsible for providing strategic advice and support to the Trust Board and the Chief Executive on governance matters, legal compliance, and risk management. This role will involve leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of organisation-wide policies, systems, and processes, including those related to human resources. The Governance and Compliance Lead will also support the Chief Executive with risk management policy and reporting.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Research, plan and implement advocacy strategies that strengthen the persecuted church.
- Provide thought leadership on creative public policy recommendations.
- Advocate before international institutions to strengthen the persecuted church.
- Organize and provide advocacy trainings.
- Provide mentorship and oversight to advocates across the ministry.
- Build partnerships with the key stakeholders and influencers in the international arena who carry authority to help strengthen the persecuted church.
Your Profile
- Committed Christian with a passion for the Persecuted Church.
- A relevant master’s degree, e.g., international law, political science, or international relations.
- Experience in advocacy research, drafting policy recommendations and implementing campaigns.
- Proven knowledge of political environments and systems.
- A proven interest in human rights and finding creative ways to strengthen the persecuted church through advocacy.
- Excellent coaching, networking, communication, and writing skills (in English).
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a continuously changing environment.;

Arts Emergency is looking for an enthusiastic person to join its dynamic Fundraising & Marketing team.
This rewarding role involves focusing on communicating with and nurturing a large network of donors. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fundraising environment and a good grasp of general fundraising principles and best practices in fundraising.
The salary is £30.5k pro rata. It is a part-time (21 hours per week), permanent role. The role can be home or office-based (London or Manchester), or hybrid.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- A good grasp of general fundraising principles and best practice in fundraising from a variety of audiences (e.g. Individuals, Communities, Major Donors, Corporates)
- A good understanding of diversity and access issues within the cultural industries or state/higher education
- Experience of working in a fundraising environment
- Experience of donor stewardship and relationship fundraising
- Experience of prospect research andevent coordination
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office programs and CMS databases

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide first-line support for all fundraising enquiries and ensure they are followed up appropriately and in a timely manner
- Ensure the fundraising database and Gift Aid declarations are up to date
- Support the Head of Fundraising in preparing income reports
- Send thank you emails and post packs to donors at all levels, and keep the website up to date with donor recognition
- Coordinate donor relationships and user experiences within Arts Emergency for regular and one-off donors and for community fundraisers
- Conduct detailed, ongoing research into new funding opportunities and prospective supporters
- Support the Finance team with income administration
- With the wider team, design a schedule of innovative donor events and coordinate preparation
- Contribute to donor communications on social media
- Undertake any task that may be requested from time to time that may be consistent with the scope of this post

This role is part of the Devon Domestic Abuse Service which provides support to high and medium risk victims of domestic abuse and their families.
This exciting new specialist role of Housing IDVA is designed to support victims of Domestic Abuse to remain safe in their own accommodation or secure suitable new housing.
The main tasks for this role include:
- Managing a caseload of high risk victims, providing specialist support around housing.
- Acting as a link person between the local authority housing teams, our Domestic Abuse services in Devon, supported accommodation and refuges.
- Offering dedicated support to victims in Places of Safety.
- Providing specialist training and professional consultancy to partner agencies.
This is an 18 month contract with the potential to extend or be made permanent, subject to funding.
