JOB DESCRIPTION

Role:The Senior Development Officer ​plays an integral role within the Development Team at Forces Employment Charity (FEC). You will work with the Head of Development to produce high quality, bespoke proposals, and reports to demonstrate impact and outcomes to help drive the delivery of FEC across the UK. You will also work within the team to research and identify new fundraising opportunities from trusts, foundations and companies and convert these into long term business relationships.

This position provides a full-time, permanent contract with hybrid working hours, consisting of a 35-hour week. The role allows for hybrid work, including remote work from home, with one day per month at our head office in London.

Principle Responsibilities:
​

• To work closely with the Head of Development to research and identify new opportunities.
• Develop, prepare, and submit high quality funding applications, acting as bid writing SME.
• Peer Review support to mentor other team members.
• Work with Head of Development to increase the accuracy of our Salesforce data, resulting in data dashboards suitable to the reporting needs of our funders.
• Collaborate with Development and Senior F&R Officer to implement a team strategy and support a lean process of reporting.
• Work with Senior Finance & Reporting Officer to report impact to our funders in line in the funding requirements.
• To work closely with Head of Development to develop and implement our fundraising strategy.
• Represent the organisation at research based events, developing our understanding and enhancing our delivery.
• Identify new opportunities and working with the team to covert these to applications and funding.
• Lead on individual Giving Strategy, working with Head of Development and Development Officer to expand opportunities.
• Any other relevant duties at the discretion of management.

We are seeking an experienced Rent Officer to join our small, dispersed Rent Team which consists of a Rent Team Leader; two Rent Officers, and two part-time Rent Team Administrators which sits within our Housing and Property services. In conjunction with our Supported Housing services, the Rent Team is responsible for the collection of the organisation's rent and other property charges. As a Rent Officer you will manage a caseload of properties and will be responsible for monitoring rent accounts; ensuring that appropriate action is taken to maximize rental income. You will ensure accuracy of rent accounts’ and service users’ information held on the rent management database (Pyramid). 

In addition, you will liaise with relevant local authorises housing benefit departments; ensuring positive relationships are forged. You will have knowledge of the external environment in which YMCA DownsLink Group works and keep abreast of key changes, particularly around Welfare Reform.

Hybrid role – mainly based at Reed House in Hove, with an expectation to work out of other locations across the YMCA DownsLink Group area when required. We are looking for an experienced clinical administrator with strong people and communication skills to help run our clinical services.

This post is an exciting opportunity to be part both of supporting the growth of this new service and supporting clinical administration at the Brent Centre within an existing small team.

The suitable candidate will have at least two years’ experience of clinical and/or general administration and reception duties. This post will suit a confident, reliable individual with strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

You will be expected to be confident in IT skills (including the use of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level) and apply them to recording data accurately on a daily basis on our client database.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, can work to regular deadlines, can problem solve when faced with difficult situations, adheres to confidentiality and can communicate professionally, politely and effectively with young patients, their families, our clinical and non-clinical staff team and our external contacts, such as GPs.

The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. As Research Involvement Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading a programme of patient and public involvement in research, a core component of our charity wide involvement strategy. 

This role will ensure that our research strategy and funding programme is shaped by the priorities and needs of people affected by blood cancer. You’ll review and refine our processes to ensure they are in line with sector best practice and that they meet the needs of our community of people affected by blood cancer. • Experience in technical advice and programme development and/or programme delivery and evaluation in climate resilient initiatives, inclusive of anticipatory action, disaster risk reduction, early warning systems.
• Exhibit a deep understanding of climate resilience principles within fragile and conflict contexts. Experience in strategy development, bid writing, proposal development & programme design with diverse teams in person and online.
• Demonstrable experience of integrating the triple nexus (humanitarian, development, peace) approach in programme design and implementation.
• Experience in facilitating, mentoring, and coaching teams, with a strong track record of working collaboratively with country teams and leaders in the Global South.

Are you looking to gain experience while working for a leading housing and homelessness charity?  

Our client is looking for 2 people to join their dynamic and friendly Rent Service Team in Assistant Rent Service Partner roles.

This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK and collect over £45 million in rent and service charge plays a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives. In this role you will:

• Provide administrative support to the Rent Service Team to facilitate early intervention of rent arrears overall.
• Be responsible for a caseload of up to 750 residents; working proactively to support clients in prevention of rent arrears within your designated caseload.
• Use your sound influencing skills in the recovery of former tenant rent arrears.
• Communicate effectively to provide high levels of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

In this role you will be required to work for at least 2 days per week from their office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. They support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week, from home.
