Role purpose
As we continue our exciting growth plans in 2024 to deliver on our ambitious goals and refreshed strategy, we’re looking for a for a dynamic, innovative, and evidence-led Social Research Associate to join our Systems Change and Impact team.
You will be joining a collaborative and purpose driven team overseen by a committed board. This pivotal role will suit someone with curiosity, excellent research and analysis skills, and an interest in the connections between health, wellbeing, impact, and life events.
Our team is drawn from a range of backgrounds spanning leaders and changemakers from across the financial services and social purpose sectors. The reach and influence of our team makes this an exciting place to work and enables us to engage important stakeholders at the highest levels.
Some key responsibilities
· Identify research areas which will contribute to the development of fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services
· Evaluate primary data to draw customer insights with the ability to work quickly on a diverse range of topics and to draw out the highlights and key findings and present them in a compelling manner to a range of stakeholders
· Research report writing including the development and maintenance of a list of key statistics and data points that can be used by the entire Fair4All Finance Team to justify and support our work and priority areas and be responsible for updating the statistics in our “State of the Market” presentations
· Contribute to our impact reporting by identifying data points, statistics and markers to assess progress against defined targets
· Support the commissioning and management of external partners to deliver research priorities

To be successful, your experience and capability will Include:
· The ability to analyse and interpret both quantitative and qualitative primary data
· Professional experience in social or customer research
· To have managed or held primary responsibility for consulting or research projects
· Knowledge of different research methods and the ability to apply these to varied settings
· To be able to present complex information to key stakeholders and team members in a clear and helpful way
· A degree in a social research, social policy or a related field, or work experience in other research fields
Desirable experience and capabilities
It would be great if you also have:
· Experience working with partners to collectively work towards systems / policy change
· Experience in research and designing solutions for specific minority ethnic groups
· Understanding of communities of place and interest in those that face disadvantage, particularly in relation to financial products and services
· Knowledge of and experience working with Office for National Statistics, Financial Conduct Authority and other public databases
· Good understanding of statistical tools such as SPSS, Stata, and/or R, and Excel

As a vital member of our team, your principal duties will be managing our Complaint Handlers and supervising all service requests. You will be responsible for ensuring that processes are in place to expedite the resolution of service requests.
Additionally, you will provide comprehensive advice and guidance in accordance with Thrive's Complaints Policy and the Housing Ombudsman Code, thereby effectively supporting the team and the broader business. By collaborating with the wider business, you will ensure that complaints are resolved on time, issues are mitigated, high-risk cases are identified, and trend information is provided.

Other Responsibilities:
- Handling all complaints from receipt to resolution including liaising with customers, diagnosing, logging, monitoring, responding to and quality checking
- Investigate and gather case files for Housing Ombudsman enquiries. Co-ordinate and carry out case studies and self-assessments for Housing Ombudsman reports, sharing lessons learned with the business.
- Support the Customer Experience Lead in ensuring that Thrive remains compliant with the Housing Ombudsman Code of Complaints.
- Scrutinise and summarise customer feedback and produce reports which highlight trends and lessons learned for Leadership Team and wider business.
- Engage with customers directly by leading focus groups and holding customer voice events both in person and online
- Co-ordinate and analyse customer surveys and feedback

We are a small, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people across Surrey. This is a key new role in the Major Relationships unit to support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead in major donor fundraising, an area which has grown in recent years. This locally based post will enhance the prospect pipeline and facilitate the cultivation of major donor prospects, which will help towards meeting the objectives and financial targets for major donor fundraising. The role will cover three main areas of responsibility: Research, Events (organisation/co-ordination) and Admin. This position requires discretion, confidentiality and administrative judgment.
The Major Relationships unit works alongside Grants, Corporates & Community as well as Individual Giving, as part of the wider Engagement (fundraising/marketing) team at Eikon.
Responsibilities
1. Research
-
Identify and prioritise potential major donor prospects in Surrey and beyond, who would be capable of making significant contributions and seem likely to have the propensity to donate i.e. to become major donors.

Produce high quality, tailored and insightful research on major donors.
-
Look at current supporters (all different types/levels) with good contacts/connections/networks and conduct research in order to suggest ways to reach new high net worth individuals across Surrey.
2. Event organisation/co-ordination
-
Organise/coordinate internal and externally run events such as dinners, drinks receptions, sporting events.
-
Attend key events - approx. 5 each year and sometimes evenings/weekends – welcoming guests and ensuring a positive experience.

Join the CEO and/or the Major Relationships Lead at specific meetings with MDs/MDPs, occasionally evenings/weekends.
3. Admin

Day-to-day support for MDs, MDPs and key influencers (KIs) which could include:

General stewardship including thanking and processing information on Sharepoint and Donorfy (Eikon’s database).

Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates.

Database admin, including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements.

Supporting individuals or small groups who are fundraising for us e.g. how to set up and promote a JustGiving page.
4. Marketing, Communications and relationships

Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials, as well as maximising social media opportunities.

Co-ordinate communications (including distribution) to all MDs/MDPs/KIs eg CEO Update plus Infographic.

Support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead to further develop good relationships with Eikon’s MDs/MDPs/KIs.

For over 20 years Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC) has been the focal organisation for holding data on wildlife sightings, types of habitats and geological information for Somerset.
We are looking for a Science and Data Specialist to support the strategy and work with SERC and the wider Somerset Wildlife Trust (SWT) Team to manage and increase the data and evidence required to meet our organisational goals.
Job Description – Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Working as an integral part of the Innovation and Evidence Team to ensure the Somerset Wildlife Trust becomes a reputable science led organisation and to ensure robust relationships with partner research intensive organisations are managed by:
Responsibility 1: Data and Evidence
- Working with the Head of Innovation and Evidence to develop the Somerset Wildlife Trust strategic approach to data and evidence, promoting SWT as a respected research-led organisation.
- Leading the review and updating of the Somerset State of Nature report, understanding gaps in information and exploring innovative options to increase data coverage and confidence, working closely with the SERC manager and data team.
- Leading on behalf of the Local Nature Partnership to provide inputs to the implementation, review and monitoring of the Somerset Local Nature Recovery Strategy, working closely with stakeholders including Somerset Council, landowner, communities and businesses involved in implementing measures to produce LNRS outcomes.
- Ensuring that new green finance mechanisms such as Biodiversity Net Gain and Wilder Carbon are operating from a sound evidence base, with a clear understanding of reporting needs and routes to monitoring and funding, working with the Heads of Nature Recovery, Reserves and SWTC.
- Working with flagship investments and grants such as Honeygar Farm, to package, publicise and promote the outcomes of research programmes to appropriate audiences for maximum impact. Contributing to plans to scale these flagships and use science and data to build confidence around future investment plans.
Responsibility 2: Partnership and Funding
- Developing and managing the SWT approach to research partnership positioning SWT as a partner of choice for a diverse range of research-intensive organisations from across disciplines and institutions.
- Working closely with the SWT grants team to provide a pipeline of opportunities for funding, supporting the data and science strategic approach.
- Demonstrating clear planning and management skills around project implementation and budget management to support the portfolio of funded projects, working with staff across the organisation as appropriate.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Assistant Financial Accountant will be involved with all financial accounting and treasury activities for the organisation which includes Look Ahead Care & Support and its subsidiaries. Activities include the day to day monitoring and administration of Look Ahead's bank account, posting journals, producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with the management of the outsourced payroll function.

Assist with the production of the management accountants and annual financial statements for Look Ahead Care & Support (LACS) and its 3 subsidiary companies.

Prepare the quarterly VAT return for Look Ahead and Look Ahead Developments.
Post all fixed asset journals, reconciling relevant balance sheet accounts monthly.
Prepare and post monthly journals and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for other general ledger accounts as required.
Ensure that Look Ahead's bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis. Prepare and post daily journals for cash receipts, direct debits, and manual payments.
Assist with the preparation of payroll journals and the reconciliation of relevant payroll accounts e.g. payroll control, PAYE, pension, attachment of earnings etc.
Assist with the monthly payroll processing, including processing of overtime and payroll sample checking.
Assist with the administration of Look Ahead's pension scheme, including processing new joiners and leavers.
Assist the Financial Accountant with the development and day to day management of the SUN financial system across the whole finance team in order to achieve efficiencies and continuous improvement.

Role Summary
How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
Refocus is an early intervention domestic abuse programme designed to tackle those at risk of committing domestic abuse towards a partner. The programme closely supports victims and intervenes early in more cases where a partner is identified as displaying abusive or potentially abusive behaviour.

A key element of this project is that it is survivor focused and looks to address abusive behaviours at their source, at an early intervention phase, via support and education. This means working with both those who have carried out such acts and those who have been made subject to them.
The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality service, constantly focused on achieving positive outcomes for every service user through effective management, training and the development of this crime reduction team across Merseyside, ensuring all service users have a person centred, trauma informed plan, that outlines the goals and targets that the service uses, Navigators and Advocates agree to work toward. You will be working in an agile and responsive team environment and be part of the team providing support and pathways to those who have experienced domestic abuse and work with people displaying potentially abusive or coercive behaviours (perpetrators), offering education and support to promote long term change
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the coordination of service user support including referrals, assessments, person-centred support plans, dynamic risk assessments, issue reports, and exits.
- To oversee line management of a team of navigators and advocates working across the county of Merseyside.
- To oversee the ReFocus inbox and efficiently screen VPRF Police Referrals to ensure they are appropriate for the ReFocus project.
- To appropriately escalate inappropriate referrals back to Merseyside Police or other DA organisations, including MARAC.
- Reporting to Merseyside Police and providing project data as requested. Also reporting to the Manager with data as required.
- To manage any day to day operational contact with Merseyside police and liaise with Service Manager and Merseyside Police SPOC on all reports, including monthly reporting.

Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.

Your cover letter must:
- Outline your experience, skills and competencies against the Person specification section in the Job Description.
- Explain why you want to join UWC International, and specify your preferred location.
- Provide confirmation of your eligibility to work or reside in the UK or Germany.
- Provide the name and contact details of two professional referees, including their job title, email address and the capacity in which you are known to them. References are taken up prior to the second round interviews. We will not contact your referees without first letting you know.

Are you keen to use your administrative skills to help support people to achieve their potential?
As Administrator at a thriving and busy community-based organisation, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of administrative procedures as well as assisting with facilities and financial management. The role is based full-time in our offices in Shoreditch, London
What you will be working on:
- Developing our administrative systems to be efficient and fit-for-purpose
- Supporting the effective use of IT hardware and software across the organisation
- Leading on the hiring of our meeting rooms and leasing of our office spaces
- Co-ordinating facilities issues such as negotiating good value contracts with our suppliers and organising day-to-day maintenance of our centres
- Assisting in the financial administration of the charity
