 Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for data entry for financial transactions and financial processing within the accounts system, for invoice processing, supplier management and administrating payments.

• AAT qualification or other equivalent relevant qualification or experience as a minimum
• Experience within a finance setting or role

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategic Vision:

• As part of the four strong senior leadership team (which also includes the CEO, Director of Partnerships and Advocacy and Director of Programmes), contribute to the overall direction and strategy of Access, and deliver on relevant areas of the organisation’s operational plan.
• Lead in the strategic planning and successful delivery of Access’s financial and operational management functions.
• Lead on projects to drive forward the internal aspects of Access’s equity, diversity and inclusion strategy.
• Represent Access at various events, promoting our influencing and advocacy aims.

Finance:

• Responsible for the financial planning of the organisation, including the development of annual budgets and long-term forecasts. Work with budget holders across the organisation to ensure the ongoing adherence and management to these budgets/forecasts across all programmes.
• Oversee financial systems that record and report on financial activities and provide information and projections to allow strategic and operational decision -making.
• Working with the Head of Finance to oversee payment, invoicing, bookkeeping and banking activities, maintaining up to date computerised records and maximising use of the accounting system (Twinfield).
• Oversee the relationship with Access’ external and group auditors and support the Head of Finance with the year-end process, external audit, preparation of annual financial statements and sign-off from relevant stakeholders.

Treasury Management:

• Manage the relationship with Access’ asset manager and ensure the endowment investment policy/strategy is being implemented, including in particular, adherence to Access’s stated impact goals for the endowment,
• Ensure high quality reporting on the performance of the portfolio from the asset manager.
• Oversee Access’s multiple banking relationships and the performance of our extensive cash deposits to balance the requirements of return, impact and liquidity.
• Support the advocacy and communication of the “total impact approach” taken by Access, sharing learning and influencing others in the development of their investment strategies.

Governance:

• Take overall responsibility for the Governance support processes and cycles at Access, including plans for regular business at board and committee meetings, members’ terms of office and recruitment of trustees and committee members.
• Ensure Access complies with statutory and legal requirements, including returns to Companies House and the Charity Commission.
• Oversee the management of up-to-date registers of interest for all board and committee members and senior staff.
• Provide advice to the Board and CEO of any legal responsibilities prevailing upon the organisation.
• Co-ordinate the agenda and content for the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC), and the Endowment Investment Committee (EIC), and contribute to meetings as appropriate.

Essential skills and key personal attributes include:

·       Payment process

The Senior Finance BP will provide Strategic and Operational finance support to the Operational Director and Heads of Service. The Director is responsible for leading a large patch of care and support contracts delivering services to customers across our client groups - homelessness, mental health, young people and learning disabilities.

The post-holder will be required to:

Work closely with the Director ensuring that they understand the financial performance of the Directorate. Carry out ad hoc analysis to support them with operational/strategic decision making.

We’re looking for a Country Manager who is, at heart, a peacebuilder. You will be someone willing to lead by your example, coaching, inspiring and giving technical support as you spend time with peacebuilding teams across the north of CAR, including three Hub Peacebuilding Managers in local offices in the borderlands, up to eight programme officers and over 300 local peacebuilders who form our Advisory Groups.

Living in Bangui, you’ll report directly to the Regional Director and work collaboratively as a key part of the Regional Leadership Team to shape the strategic direction of Concordis’ future work across the Central African region.

The needs in CAR are immense, and we need you to have the vision and motivation to look beyond programme delivery, as important as that is, and to identify new opportunities and new funding for additional programming. You’ll support the team as they design, develop and source funding for new work that will a deliver measurable change for peace.

You will be someone who is curious and keen to spend time with people in the borderlands, where conflict is fought and felt. You will also have the confidence and ability to be part of high-level meetings with ministers and ambassadors, amplifying voices that are often ignored by decision makers, leading to evidence-based, conflict sensitive policy making.

Role Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for technical peacebuilding aspects of Concordis’ work in CAR

• Responsible for leading on all aspects of peacebuilding in delivering an ambitious but realistic borders programme to time and to budget, meeting all contractual requirements of the donor
• Responsible for providing managerial oversight in developing and delivering strategic work plans in accordance with donor log frames to achieve delivery of all activities and outcomes, reporting on these to the donor
• Develop opportunities to use the significant flexibility built into this contract to maximise impacts for peace, beyond pure contractual terms, negotiating these with the donor
• Visionary leadership with the staff team, key stakeholders and international donors to identify gaps in peacebuilding provision and to develop opportunities for future work that will meet identified needs, be locally owned and deliver measurable impact

Influence policymaking and advocacy

• Represent Concordis in CAR with high-level engagement with local, national, regional and international decision makers, using evidence from the programme to influence policymaking
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers, then use this access to amplify voices that are often ignored, engaging with Government officials, Diplomatic staff, Regional bodies that support Central African countries (eg COMIFAC, ECCAS, CEMAC, OFAC etc), UN and multilateral agencies and humanitarian and developmental staff
• Participate actively in regional conferences and negotiations to ensure that the voices of people in the borderlands are heard, and that locally-led and conflict sensitive solutions are reflected in strategic decision-making

Responsible for strategic programme development

• Building and maintain relationships that may lead to new funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral and other institutional donors
• Provide strategic support to fundraising providing timely information to support the development of new bids and engaging directly with donors

Leadership responsibility in the Regional Team

• Member of the Central African Regional Senior Leadership Team and will lead the CAR Country Senior Leadership Team supported collaboratively by the CAR Finance Manager
• Responsible for line managing three Peacebuilding Hub Managers
• Responsible for giving coaching, mentoring and technical support to the peacebuilding team in CAR, inspiring them in their roles and focusing their efforts to deliver rapid and sustainable results, whilst ensuring that staff development needs are met
• Promote clear lines of communication between staff members and offices, across the Central African Regional programme and with staff in the UK. Lead or participate in a system of team meetings, one-to-ones and informal gatherings
• Responsible for ensuring that staff development needs are met including training and appraisals
• Responsible for ensuring that CAR project staff understand and adhere to staff safety, security policies and plans and that such plans are kept up to date. Closely monitor the security dynamics in target areas and report to the Regional Director on significant changes in the security context
• Work collaboratively with finance staff to manage project resources, prepare project budgets, review and monitor spending and submit regular reports to the donor
• Work with Regional Head of MEAL to prepare regular donor reports to the donor

The Finance Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the charity's financial framework to support and advance Aggie’s mission. Key areas of responsibilities;

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation's visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.
• Work with the CFO in preparing and presenting the consolidated budget and plan to the SMT and ARG Committee.
• Develop high level models to support strategic and operational decision making, such as assessment of financial sustainability of grant applications and monthly reporting to funders in line with contractual obligations.

The Role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support finance and grantmaking. They are responsible for the smooth running of all transactional processes for grants, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit grant accounting/financial issues and dealing with both financial and grant information and processes, understand accounting principles, and have knowledge of accounting, grantmaking, and budgeting processes. They have cash management, banking, and payment experiences. They demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure the accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They will have the skills to give, receive, and work with feedback constructively. They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. As a member of our Executive Team, you will be responsible for leading our finance, investment, and governance portfolios. The Role

Our goal is to recruit an experienced Director of Finance and Investment who will lead the finance and investment functions for the organisation. This will involve supervising strategic financial planning, including yearly and long-term budgeting and tracking, as well as delivering precise and timely financial projections. You will ensure the external audit and production of statutory accounts are delivered, keeping tight cashflow management, and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, FRS 102, Charity SORP, and other applicable standards and regulations.

Besides your financial duties, you will also oversee the investment portfolio of the organisation and its subsidiaries, run the treasury and investment system operations of Reall, deal with possible problems affecting debtors' repayment capacity, and comply with rules and regulations.

The role

This position plays a crucial role within the Charity, working closely with directorates and teams to understand their financial positioning and identify both opportunities and challenges. Responsibilities include:

• Monthly management accounts and month end reports
• Understanding the long-term goals of the Fundraising team, managing financial risks/uncertainty
• Engaging in the comprehensive design, development, and continuous maintenance of intricate financial models to facilitate strategic decision-making and ensure accuracy in financial forecasting
• Working with the Head of Financial Accounting and Processing and the Financial Accountant to prepare the Statutory Accounts and liaise with auditors as required
