Issue and update membership invoices using CRM.

Support cashflow management by maintaining a cashflow forecast.
HR
Maintain annual leave and sick leave records.

Office Management:

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, ensuring that the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse. It is responsible for promoting, and regulating the sport, which is at the heart of a major leisure and entertainment sector, a leading betting product and the focus of an important breeding sector.
The Finance department are looking to recruit an integral new role as Finance, Grants and Contracts Business Partner, reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner.
This role will manage all BHA led and coordinated stakeholder grant applications to industry funders (including HBLB, Racing Foundation). This will involve managing the grant process from application through to drawdown and reporting to funders (including coordinating KPIs). Support with internal monthly management accounts reporting, as well as the key industry forums such as the Industry Programme Board.
You will be responsible in leading the proactive management of the BHA’s major contracts including LGC (equine drug testing) and Weatherby’s (Racing administration).
Operational finance support will also be required for routine monthly transactional posting, Ad-hoc finance department tasks and projects including support of business partners.
The successful candidate will be highly organised with an ability to multitask and deal with high volumes of work. You will be able to gain an understanding of the wider team’s deadlines to ensure tasks are completed within desired timeframes, while maintaining a calm demeanour. You will have the ability to deliver high quality customer service and excellent attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
Being an enthusiastic team player, with a good sense of humour is also desirable.

Driven and engaging Finance Director required for a commercially focused Not for Profit who uphold industry standards for their sector and members on a 12 month FTC basis.

You will be a strategic thinker, with strong financial acumen and leadership skills who will oversee the financial operations of the company and its trading subsidiaries. The FD will also lead the roll out the new finance system so experience of a system implementation is essential.

In this newly created role, you will work closely with the operations team to identify and implement improvements across financial systems and processes—helping us to work smarter, not harder. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Planning, overseeing, and carrying out audits of processes and procedures, in line with the planned schedule.
- Assessing compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ie. financial standards.
- Evaluating risks and developing recommendations to improve risk management
- Reviewing processes across the business that impact the effectiveness of financial management information reporting
- Guiding non-financial managers in understanding financial management and its impact.
- Help improve finance processes and broader organisational effectiveness.
Your Skills & Experience will include:
- You should be a fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) professional OR be part-qualified with substantial experience in performing audit work to a high standard and actively working towards full qualification.(You will receive support for your study and development goals)
- Excellent research and analytical skills enabling you to quickly sort and analyse large amounts of data and create clear, persuasive reports.
- A strong understanding of accounting standards is also required.
