This is an exciting role leading our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The development and implementation of a UK-wide cross-government child poverty strategy means this is a great time to join CPAG as we look to influence policy makers to adopt our evidence-based policy solutions to child poverty.
We are looking for someone to take a lead role in developing evidence-based policy positions to support CPAG’s influencing and campaigns work. You will have knowledge of political processes and how external organisations can effect change. You will have a track record of producing high quality research and analysis, including policy briefings, on social policy issues. You will have experience of managing a small team and working collaboratively to identify policy issues and develop solutions with colleagues across the organisation, as well as externally.
The postholder will be working in a fast moving, high profile and complex policy environment and will need to balance short term priorities with long term objectives. Current priorities include influencing the implementation of the forthcoming child poverty strategy, gathering and sharing analysis and expertise with the DWP as part of their review of universal credit, and monitoring the development of forthcoming changes to disability benefits.

About the role
We are currently looking for an impassioned and self-driven individual to join our activities team to deliver exceptional service to our students, through engaging with the 350+ student groups, which deliver an incredible range of world-class opportunities to their members.
You will act as the first point of contact for student-led groups and will drive improvements of activities and events including administering risk management, facilities, finance, training, and a wide range of administrative processes. What you would be doing
The Student Activities Coordinator (Events) is tasked with coordinating the delivery and development of events run by student-led groups.
The role is responsible for ensuring that student volunteers are able to deliver their activities and events safely, and ensure students have a high-quality service and experience on their journey as a volunteer.
The role is responsible for supporting the:
- delivery of student-led groups, tours / trips, and activities
- Development and Support for groups in relation to events and activity
Alongside the Activities Manager, elected Officer Trustees, and the wider activities team, the role will support the delivering of a high-quality support service for student-led groups.

The role will require excellent administration and organisational skills, a methodical approach to managing information and sophisticated interpersonal skills. You will be able to operate with autonomy as well as be able to balance competing priorities.

The Role

For the duration of the maternity cover, the successful candidate will focus on:

- Budget Management: Prepare accurate forecasts and monitor KPIs to achieve ambitious income targets.

About The Role

About You
We are seeking an individual with:
- Extensive experience in the development and delivery of events, visitor experiences and engagement in the natural environment, arts and culture or attractions sectors.
- Ability to think strategically and identify areas where experiences can support the delivery of organisational strategy.
- Experience of building partnerships with external creatives and organisations.
- Ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams, both in a direct and matrix management capacity.
- Strong experience of managing annual budgets and projects up to £500k
- Strong experience of writing creative briefs, managing creative consultants and designers.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills including internally at a senior level and externally with partners.
While this post is based in Slimbridge Wetland Centre with the opportunity for hybrid working, it is expected that the role would work from site twice a week and as required for key meetings.

About the role:
This role is based in the Victim Help Centre, in St Asaph, North Wales and working in liaison with North Wales Police and other relevant agencies.
In this position you will contact Victims by telephone to undertake a comprehensive needs assessment and commission a range of services to support identified needs if appropriate.
You will refer victims to partner agencies and contact approved suppliers to deliver services to victims. You will also direct referrals to appropriate colleagues to allocate Victim Support workers for further support.
You will identify and manage the victims immediate service needs and contribute towards risk assessment processes and following agreed safe contact processes and recording all contact securely.
The nature of service required will vary depending on individual circumstances and specified outcomes will be achieved through building trust and confidence with victims who will be vulnerable and have complex needs.
Level 4 Welsh Language skills and the ability to communicate fluently through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this role.

Legacy Officer
These are exciting times for the Charity, and we now have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused Legacy Officer to join the busy Legacy Administration Team.
Position: Legacy Officer
Location: Devon/Hybrid (onsite attendance currently anticipated to be 2-3 days per week)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Monday-Friday.
Salary: £35,373 per annum
Contract: Permanent contract starting as soon as possible

About the Role
As Legacy Officer, you will manage a proportional share of legacy cases, predominantly comprising residuary, life interest, discretionary and specific legacies, including a small proportion of those which are contentious and identifying and resolving complex case issues.
Depending on experience and any complexities and associated risk to the Charity, you will have autonomy to make decisions daily; including financial decisions associated with estate assets which include properties and investments (which are typically hundreds of thousands and on occasion millions of pounds), enhancing the Sanctuary’s reputation as a good recipient of legacies by building good relationships with professionals, Lay Executors, as well as friends and family involved in each administration. You will be supervised on more complex cases and high value legacies, to progress personal development.
About You
You will have a relevant qualification recognised by the Legacy profession; ILM Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (CiCLA) or equivalent (STEP or ILEX) and/or significant previous experience of working in legacy administration at an equivalent level and a substantial knowledge of legacy or probate administration.
Ideally you will be proficient in the use of FirstClass 4 and commensurate knowledge of MS Office including Excel and have up to date knowledge of charity law (as it applies to charity legacies), taxes applicable to estates and probate/trust law and processes and data protection relating to charity administration.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
You will need to have:
- A Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or an equivalent recognised qualification)
- Recent experience working in a children’s residential care setting, where you have supervised or led staff
- Experience supporting young people with complex emotional or behavioural needs
- Knowledge of the Quality Care Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Experience in case management, including preparing care plans and contributing to reviews
- Experience managing budgets or financial processes

The role:
This is a central role within the Foundation team to manage, develop and maintain partnerships and programmes with national and international charities, corporate partners and colleagues across the business. This role offers high visibility across the organisation and is ideal for someone who thrives on acting as a brand ambassador, networking and building relationships.
You will work with a diverse range of stakeholders, to manage multiple partnerships, oversee the delivery of programme activities and events and track and monitor the overall success of these partnerships. The person:
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled at building inspiring, energising and positive relationships, with a strong track record of developing and managing partnerships and programmes across a variety of stakeholders. You will be confident as a brand ambassador connecting with people and bringing a problem-solving and collaborative approach. This role needs a natural communicator who leads with positivity and clarity, building relationships with existing and new contacts at all levels, including service users, colleagues, board and senior management level. You will be accountable for creating and delivering against large scale partnership plans and developing new activities and events in collaboration with existing partners. They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of developing and delivering partnerships with charity/voluntary sector organisations as well as businesses, particularly in the sport for development field.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you must have a full clean driving licence and hold a D1/PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle). An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
