Join Age UK and be part of our Brand and Communications Division. This is a new role, created to help us transform how we work with celebrities. It would suit someone who has relationship building and communication skills, as well as attention to detail and end-to end project management experience.

As Celebrities Manager you would have worked extensively with celebrities and agents, be motivated to translate ideas into action and able to prioritise carefully to ensure maximum impact. Working closely with the Events and Celebrities Manager, you would secure celebrity partnerships that deliver brand, income generation and PR opportunities, supporting organisational goals and reaching our priority audiences. You would cut across internal boundaries to understand and create engagement opportunities for celebrities and build lasting and high value ambassadorial relationships.

This will be a varied role, working within a supportive team to help shape our new celebrity strategy.

This is a hybrid role, a blend of homebased and office working. The expectation is that you will attend our London office (One America Square EC3N 2LB) for a minimum of one day a week - the team attend the office on Tuesdays currently. ABOUT THE ROLE

This role could suit two types of candidates:

• A practitioner with experience of working with children and families who wants to use their practice experience in a programme management role, or;
• An experienced programme manager with strong public sector and/or charity sector experience, who is confident working with data and is relational and collaborative with colleagues and partners.

It would be an advantage, though not essential, to have experience of Family Group Decision Making, solution-focused practice, or the children’s social care sector.

Whilst this role is a managerial role, and not day-to-day family-facing we do make space for our Programme Managers to hold a limited number of referrals each year to nurture skills and practice experience. Full practitioner training is provided for all Daybreak employees.

The role is home based with regular travel into Bromley and Hackney Local Authority offices. A successful candidate would also need to actively work in person with commissioners, external partners, and communities in and around Bromley and Hackney on a regular basis, depending on service needs. Willingness to travel to other areas, depending on service need and growth is needed.

What does a week look like for a Daybreak Programme Manager?

No two weeks are the same, but as a Programme Manager you can expect to balance a mix of operational oversight, supporting your freelancer team, and stakeholder engagement. Typical activities include:

Ensuring a quality service for families, and delivering on contract aims

• Reviewing and triaging referrals, including case discussions with referrers.
• Quality-assuring referrals and Family Plans, ensuring procedures are followed and records are kept up to date in our case management system.
• Monitoring case records to make sure Family Group Conferences are progressing appropriately, and accurate records are being kept.
• Collating and analysing performance data (KPIs), using MS Excel and other tools.
• Writing quarterly reports for commissioners, analysing service delivery, providing narratives and identifying areas for development.

Working with your freelancer team of Coordinators

• Allocating new referrals to our team of freelance Independent Coordinators.
• Engaging Coordinators in best practice discussions, providing guidance to overcoming barriers or issues.
• Acting as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, reviewing incident reports and escalating when required.
• Hosting in-person and online Practice Development Groups to share key messages and facilitate best practice discussions.
• Recruiting, inducting, and supporting new Coordinators - from advertising and interviews to observing practice.
• Reviewing and signing off invoices from freelance Coordinators.

Working with external stakeholders and referrers

• Building relationships with referrers such as Social Workers, through consultations and attending team meetings.
• Promoting our services to commissioners and senior managers in children’s social care, ensuring referrals are high quality whilst also raising awareness of the value of FGCs and our service.

Contributing to the wider Charity aims

• Attending Programme Manager and staff team meetings.
• Contributing ideas and expertise to strengthen processes, improve service delivery, expand our offer to families, and support Daybreak’s wider charitable goals.

DETAILS

Our location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. Vision Action, formally Vision Aid Overseas, is a UK-based charity, with a focus on fighting poverty by transforming access to eye care services in lower- and middle-income countries in Africa. The charity was established in 1985. Our work focuses on the development of services for uncorrected refractive error and primary eye health. Uncorrected refractive error is the world’s leading cause of avoidable visual impairment, with an estimated 670 million people affected worldwide. We develop programmes that integrate training, primary eye care, school eye health and facility developments into national and regional eye care plans, seeking always to be responsive to local need. In this way, we help children to learn and adults to earn so that they can provide for their families. Currently, the organisation has programmes operating in Ethiopia, Ghana, Zambia, and Sierra Leone.

Job Purpose

Vision Action seeks a highly dynamic individual for a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension. The position is part of the management team, and the post holder will be expected to lead on the financial accounting, management accounting, and budgeting for the organisation as well as taking forward some strategic finance and operations projects as we expand our programmes in existing countries. The individual will also be expected to support the Co-CEOs with administrative, compliance and IT related tasks.

The position holder is required to comply with all of Vision Action’s policies and procedures, including Vision Action’s Safeguarding policy.

Functions / Key Responsibilities:

1. Finance

• Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate.

Financial accounting

• Prepare annual statutory accounts in accordance with SORP 2015.
• Prepare for the annual external audit and host auditors ensuring the audit process runs smoothly. This includes supporting Vision Action’s country offices in hosting their respective audits.
• Ensure annual statutory accounts are finalised and submitted to Companies House and the Charity Commission by the appropriate deadlines.

Management accounting

• Coordinate the month-end process with the Finance Officer (UK) and Programme Finance Lead, and review transaction postings.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with cash flow forecasts, modifying the format as needed to suit the preferences of senior management and the Board of Trustees.
• Prepare the annual organisational budget and mid-year reforecast.
• Improve existing budget templates to enable straightforward and transparent budgeting for donors.

Support to country offices

• Collaborate with the Programme Finance Lead on a monthly basis to reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring that reconciling items are cleared promptly.
• Support country office teams in fulfilling any reporting and financial compliance requirements.
• Conduct internal process reviews (internal audits) of country offices where required.
• Review the bi-weekly payment runs for the UK office and the monthly country office fund requests, ensuring cash flow planning is in place for these payments.
• Ensure asset registers are maintained appropriately.

2. Administration

• Support staff in conducting procurement in line with Vision Action’s procurement policy.
• Assist with preparation for quarterly Board meetings.
• Support office management tasks.

3. Other

• Review and develop existing policies and procedures (e.g. the Finance Manual).
• Conduct staff training on relevant policies and procedures.
• Any other task reasonably requested by your line manager.

In this interim role, you’ll play a key part in driving forward our corporate partnerships work to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with businesses and organisations to support our mission. You’ll identify and develop high-value opportunities, inspire charitable giving, and provide excellent stewardship to ensure partners feel valued, engaged, and motivated to continue their support. 

You’ll also contribute to maintaining a healthy and active pipeline of new prospects, supporting the long-term sustainability of our work. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership 

• Lead the corporate fundraising programme at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, Director of Development, and Brand & Marketing Manager. 

• Deliver an ambitious corporate partnerships strategy that supports both regional (aligned with Roald Dahl Nurse locations) and national growth. 

• Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the Fundraising and Communications team, supporting the charity’s broader income and engagement goals. 

• Provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Fundraising Executive 

Corporate Partnership Development 

• Identify, research, package and secure high-value corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, cause-related marketing, and employee fundraising opportunities. 

• Proactively grow and manage the new business pipeline, forecasting income and tracking likelihood of success, ensuring alignment with agreed income targets. 

• Build creative, compelling cases for support and deliver inspirational, tailored pitches and proposals to senior corporate audiences. 

• Horizon scan to identify new partnership opportunities and emerging sectors, working closely with the Programmes Team to align fundraising opportunities with service delivery and impact. 

Account Management & Stewardship 

• Deliver high-quality relationship management for all existing corporate partners, ensuring clear communication, excellent stewardship, and sustained engagement, with support from the Director of Fundraising & Communications, CEO and other senior staff as needed. 

• Create and implement bespoke fundraising plans and incentives to support multi-year, mutually beneficial partnerships. 

• Prepare engaging, tailored assets and communications including proposals, presentations, impact reports and updates for corporate supporters. 

• Represent the charity confidently at meetings and events, delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. 

Performance & Financial Management 

• Track, analyse and report on income, ROI, and engagement across all corporate partnerships. 

• Manage the corporate fundraising income and expenditure, reporting performance against forecasts. 

• Maintain oversight of all contractual agreements and partnership terms for corporate partnerships and cause-related marketing. 

Cross-Team Collaboration & Support 

• Work collaboratively across the Fundraising and Communications team to deliver a calendar of corporate fundraising events, campaigns, and activity. 

• Contribute content and stories to the charity’s website, newsletter, annual review, and other external communications. 

• Ensure strong collaboration with the Programmes Team to develop impactful narratives.

For a large, global organisation, we are recruiting a Head of Group FP&A. Leading a team of 4, the Head of Group FP&A sits at the heart of Group and Global Finance, and leads Group MI, Reporting, Planning and Forecasting across the organisation. The role oversees cash and balance sheet forecasting for the Group and Subsidiaries and ensures insightful reporting to external stakeholders. • Provide first-class Group FP&A and MI reporting service globally and regionally, for all strategic business units
