Financial Planning Manager Jobs in Leicester

We need an events manager who is adept at managing projects and events, working with our fundraisers and encouraging our supporters to get involved in our events such as our annual trek, the prestigious Care Sector Ball, and all the other events we’re involved in. The right person will have the confidence and persistence it takes to persuade, cajole, prod and encourage fundraisers to do as much as they can to raise funds for us. You need to be proficient at managing the admin that goes with events, including using fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse to engage with fundraisers and provide regular reports on the income raised. We will also need you to organize hotel, travel, conference arrangements for the team.

You must be based in England, to help us keep travel costs down as much as possible. The role is home based, with travel to fundraising events, conferences and network meetings, and with travel every 10 weeks or so to central London for team meetings.

 You must be a determined self-reliant professional though also a team player, to effectively coordinate and execute events and other activities, and be passionate about events management and fundraising to enable us to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

The Role

Working with the wider engagement and fundraising team, you will ensure donors receive the best experience and an integrated and joined up fundraising plan is delivered.

- Thorough testing of finance related end to end processes on Unit 4 ensuring that any issues are captured and resolved as appropriate.
- Successful finance data cleanse activities to ensure that data migrated to Unit 4 is fit for purpose
- Opening financial data migrated to Unit 4 reconciled clearly back to the legacy systems on a detailed and timely basis to ensure strong financial control and a successful audit
- Take lead on understanding and implementing any changes to approach necessary for month end close, journal processing and balance sheet reconciliations
- Successful and timely transfer of knowledge to the remaining members of the finance team

This is a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices.

The Network Development Manager (Clubs & Compliance) shall lead on the support and management of this dynamic and evolving membership base through the enhancement of the Special Olympics GB delivery model to achieve our purpose of unlocking more opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. This person will report directly to the Head of Network and work closely alongside other members of the team and key stakeholders, with a specific focus on our Accredited Club and Programme compliance and development and overarching responsibility of maintaining our membership delivery model mechanics and key processes. • Update the trusts and foundations database and managing the pipeline of activity
• Prepare tailored applications to trusts and foundations

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to cover parental leave. 

The successful candidate will have accountability for several key areas of operational delivery of BITC’s programmes across England, Scotland and Wales. This role will ensure the high quality and consistency of performance through these aspects of operational delivery and development, working closely with businesses, internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team, delivering programmes and contractual obligations across their patch. The post holder will lead on driving programme/contractual performance (both KPI’s and financial) motivating and inspiring the team.  They will also have responsibility for ensuring continued funding from key partners and securing new income; monitoring and reporting on this important activity as it contributes to BITC's vision within a set geographical area or programme/project areas.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of:

· Managing the delivery of contract and programmes to meet contractual obligations

· Working with business, schools and/or community organisations to create beneficial relationships

· Providing leadership, motivation and development for a dispersed team to achieve excellent results for businesses and beneficiaries

· Securing funding for impact programmes

This is a fixed term contract for approximately 10 months to cover parental leave. 

The location is flexible - candidates can be based at home or at their nearest BITC office.

The salary level for this role reflects the contractual location and the programme funding.  The salary range is £33,120 to 41,000 per annum (regional) and £36,225 to £44,000 London office based.

About the role

Responsible for winning new business and retaining existing contracts to achieve financial and growth targets, this is a pivotal role at Kinship. • Lead on all commissioning activity at Kinship directly with commissioners and through tendering activity.

You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across the region, but not exclusively, it is essential you have a full driving license.
