Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for a Communications Officer who will coordinate our internal, Network-wide, and external communications. Ensuring excellent communications across the staff team, and the effective promotion of its work.

You will be a highly motivated communications specialist with a proven track record of internal and external communications. You will have excellent planning and prioritisation skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks, along with prior proven experience managing social media channels that results in an impact of campaigns and engagement. 

Key Tasks

• To create content and coordinate internal communications across the Network staff team, ensuring the effective development and implementation of appropriate channels 
• To develop and maintain a communications content calendar when and how the Network’s activity will be effectively communicated
• To coordinate communications across the wider Network, including PTCs, Regional Hubs, and partners, including through the production and dissemination of a regular digital newsletter 
• To develop, post and oversee content for the Network’s social media channels to promote the effectiveness of the Network’s approach and the impact of PTCs and commissioners 
• To establish and maintain appropriate media links to ensure that the reality of poverty, and the impact of commissioners in seeking to alleviate it, is effectively shared
• To support the Network’s parliamentary engagement and its national programmes to ensure that its work is shared impactfully 
• To provide an appropriate level of support to PTCs as they develop their social media and engage with the media appropriately
• To undertake other appropriate duties as requested by the Operations Manager

 Key Duties & Responsibilities 

· To build relationships with secondary school pupils, particularly those on flexible timetables, who have complex and challenging barriers, acting in a non-judgemental way to support them through their Brighter Futures journey

· Deliver and develop the Brighter Futures Schools programme within in St Thomas of Aquins R.C High School, meeting ambitious targets and milestones, ensuring all young people engaged achieve positive outcome.

· Provide pre and post volunteering practical and emotional support to each pupil, helping to build their confidence and identify achievable goals as well support the pupil to complete awards and qualifications linked to their volunteering.

· Engaging with current charity partners, not for profit organisations and social enterprises and developing new ones in line with our Best Practice for under 18’s volunteering. 

· Develop diverse, high quality and bespoke volunteer placements with third sector partners that reflect the needs and interests of pupils.

· Effective recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing support of a diverse pool of talented and dedicated volunteer mentors from a wide cross-section of the community

· To maintain Volunteering Matters standards around quality and effective Volunteer Management

· To manage all elements of a young person’s experience, from referral to completion of their journey, including managing the match with their mentor.

· To manage the risk assessment, safeguarding, quality assurance and audit processes as appropriate

· Ensure monitoring, impact and evaluation information is collected and that Brighter Futures meets it’s agreed targets, reporting format and schedule.

Location: A large part of your working week will be based at St Thomas of Aquins R.C High School or visiting our charity partner sites across the city. During school holidays you will have the opportunity to work from home. The postholder will require good internet access to enable remote working, and a suitable home office space. I.T. equipment and infrastructure will be supplied.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be forming a team that makes up the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements

Housing Support Workers will work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the properties are managed to a high standard and ensure a welcoming approach to all survivors and their children.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

The new Business Development lead is crucial to the long-term success and impact of Evolve Counselling.

You will be securing new and existing professional mental health counselling contracts with a range of commercial clients, increasing our engagement with private individuals - either referred to us or independently seeking the best counselling, plus sourcing charitable grants and sponsorships to support our ‘low-cost or no-cost’ ambitions, and building voluntary sector partnerships to further our work.

A good background in charitable fundraising and development, or solid commercial new business/sales management experience, is essential.

This is a part-time role, remote working, but with a requirement to be able to attend frequent on-site meetings concentrated upon Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Northamptonshire - as well as across the wider UK.

Salary: £12,500 pro rata for 15 hours a week (£29.2k FTE). Initially 18 months, with the possibility of extension to permanent full-time for on-target performance.

About the role

As Participation and Partnerships Manager, you'll lead our work to centre the voices and experiences of children and young people in everything we do. You'll manage relationships with community partners, coordinate participation opportunities, and help shape national and local policy to tackle child poverty in Wales.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with children, young people, and families, building platforms for them to share their experiences and co-create solutions. You'll also work cross-functionally with media, advocacy, and policy colleagues to ensure participation is embedded in our campaigns and influencing efforts.

• Lead participation and engagement with children and young people across our key outcome areas: money, services, and power.

• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with community groups and organisations, ensuring alignment with national objectives.

• Ensure safeguarding and ethical standards are upheld in all participation activities.

• Support advocacy and media work by producing compelling stories, resources, and case studies.

• Champion inclusion, applying anti-racist and intersectional principles across all work.

• Contribute to fundraising and donor engagement by demonstrating the impact of our work.

Ways of Working:

About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Treasury Specialist to join our Accounting Operations team and help ensure sound controls over the income and balance sheet of the organisation that is focussed on saving the world.

As Treasury Specialist you will focus on accurately recording income, maintaining controls over bank and income control accounts as well as providing our sales ledger function. You will be involved in executing and processing foreign exchange transactions, processing income, updating daily bank reporting and short term cashflow forecasting.  You will support our Treasury Manager to monitor current account and deposit balances and ensure they remain within treasury policy limits too. You will also make sure sufficient funds are available when needed for GBP and foreign currency payments as well as oversee the sales ledger processes. In addition, you will make sure activities comply with our policies and communicate with banks regarding transaction queries. Important will be the ability to contribute with ideas for improvements in Treasury processes.

This role is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate eager to apply their studies in a practical, corporate setting, or someone in the early stages of their career, looking to build a career at the intersection of sustainability and corporate finance.

We’re looking for someone with:

· A strong academic grounding in sustainable finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred, but equivalent experience or academic focus at undergraduate level would also be considered.

· A strong interest in learning everything related to a Treasury Operation.

· Excellent working knowledge of Excel.

· With excellent attention to detail.

· Excellent communication, IT & interpersonal skills.

· Some experience of working in a finance team would be desirable
