Job Title: Head of Community Delivery & Development - South East
Salary: £55,000
Responsible to: Chief Operating Officer
Location: Across Essex with time spent in Colchester (covering South and East of England)
Hours of Work: 36.5 hours per week. Flexible working will be required.

Head of South East Region: The Role
This strategic leadership role will ensure that TAWS’ contractual obligations and goals are achieved across the South East region by working in partnership with communities and organisations to deliver interventions that promote wellbeing, active citizenship and environmental sustainability.
You will:
- Lead regional programmes and services, ensuring delivery meets community needs and achieves meaningful impact
- Co-produce activities with local communities, incorporating interventions such as physical activity, food, active travel, shareshacks, health and growing
- Drive business development and identify new opportunities, working closely with senior colleagues to grow the organisation’s reach and impact
- Manage a team of Community Development Leads and Programme Managers across the South and East, with a current focus on Essex and London
- Represent TAWS at senior level in forums and stakeholder meetings
Key Requirements: What you'll bring with you
- Proven experience in programme and project management, delivering on time, within budget, and to agreed outcomes
- Strong business development skills, with experience identifying and developing new opportunities in community or charitable sectors
- Excellent partnership management skills, able to cultivate strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams to achieve their full potential
- Experience working in community development and/or with the health, charitable or voluntary sector
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to complex, changing environments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to represent the organisation effectively at all levels
Experience, Knowledge and Values:
- Ability to manage budgets, monitor performance and meet funder and organisational expectations
- Experience of asset-based community development approaches and co-production methods
- A track record of engaging diverse and underrepresented communities, building trust and participation
- Knowledge of wellbeing, tackling inequalities, and current developments in community engagement

- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Sessional Farm Assistant
Based at Oasis Southampton City Farm, Green Lane, Southampton SO16 9FQ
Hours: Flexible
Contract: Sessional
Hourly Rate: £12.60 per hour
Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.
We are looking for sessional farm assistants who will support the Farm Lead in delivering the vision for the farm by supporting the delivery of the farm’s variety of activities, including:
· To deliver youth activities on the farm, supporting young people to help care for the animals
· To deliver birthday parties on weekends to groups of up to 30,
· To deliver animal experiences, giving families the opportunity to meet and greet our rescued and rehomed animals
· To support our adult day service with caring for our animals
· To support with the animal cleaning and feeding rota, alongside groups or individuals.
· To support with the running of our café, which runs on the weekends. Working alongside our youth volunteers to serve refreshments and food.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
· Relevant qualifications and experience in animal management/public sector
· The flexibility to work across the week, including some weekends.
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Proven ability to work alongside others in projects that work with the public.
· Punctuality, reliability, and honesty.
· Ability to always evidence the Oasis ethos and values.

Farm Assistant – Day Service

Salary: £10,511 per annum (£26,279 for 1 FTE)
Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.
We are looking for a farm assistant who will support the Farm Lead in delivering the vision for the farm by supporting the delivery of the farm’s day service, which includes adults with varying learning, physical, and mental disabilities (or different abilities). This role will include:
· Delivering the day service activities every Monday and Thursday, which include supporting our day service to care for our rescued and rehomed animals, sports, woodland activities, gardening, arts and crafts, and public facing activities.
· Deliver life and employability skills boosting sessions alongside the public, such as pop-up cafes and fundraising stalls.
· To carry out animal cleaning rota responsibilities alongside the day service,
· To support the farm education lead in the day service achieving AQA awards through day-to-day activities.
· To support the education lead in giving tours/pre visits to new adults with learning disabilities,
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
· Relevant qualifications and experience in animal management/social care
· The flexibility to work Mondays and Thursdays, with the opportunity for more hours possible as the programme grows.
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Proven ability to work alongside others in projects that work with the public.
