The vital work of the charity is partially enabled by income generated through fundraising; from supporter engagement and community events and activities, as well as philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations, and major donors.

As Supporter Engagement Officer you’ll play a key role in helping us to engage new and existing supporters as well as helping to deliver first-class stewardship to retain support and build trust. In addition you will develop appeals and communications that engage and inform supporters which help to raise more voluntary income.

Directly supporting the Direct Marketing and Legacy Manager and working closely with all of the Supporter Engagement team it would be beneficial if you have previous experience or an interest in Fundraising. Being a confident communicator with a “can-do” approach is essential as well as being able to demonstrate proven administrative skills, the ability to manage a varied workload and be highly organised.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are contractually required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month.

Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than others and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.

Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Officer, Enterprise  to support the design, implementation and knowledge exchange of conservation enterprises and related local sustainable finance mechanisms that generate finance for conservation and/or improve the livelihoods of local communities at Fauna & Flora’s projects around the world.

You will be supporting business model development, private sector partnerships, project management, fundraising, capacity development and communications. You will work closely with our regional programme and partners in 20-plus countries, who are working on the ground to deliver conservation impact. 

You will be a highly motivated and organised individual, looking to apply your expertise in business and finance to solve conservation challenges. You will have an understanding of developing business plans and developing financial models. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise across teams and cultures as well as from rural entrepreneurs to corporates and investors. You will enjoy applying your business skills to complex issues and explaining these in plain and accessible language. You will have excellent facilitation, training and coaching skills and passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills while being open to learning and able to quickly pick up new skills.

Fluency in English is essential and French is highly desirable. Knowledge of language relevant to Fauna & Flora’s work, such as Bahasa, Swahili, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish, will be highly valuable.

Fauna & Flora is part of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative in The David Attenborough Building, providing a great platform for collaboration with other conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments and institutions. You will be joining a diverse team with global responsibilities and the role offers the opportunity to work within a ground-breaking and entrepreneurial organisation, at the forefront of global conservation.

This position will be based in Cambridge with international travel as required to meet project needs.

The Access Foundation is focused on making a real difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities which make a valuable and measurable positive impact.  Our grant giving objectives fall into three categories:

The Foundation aims to achieve this via a fund from which it awards grants to other charitable organisations aligned with the principles above. You are a key member or the team that works towards our target to award grants to a total value of +/- £2 million each year.

The Access Foundation was set up in 2021 following the success and growth enjoyed by The Access Group over the previous decade. While affiliated with The Access Group in terms of its identity, The Access Foundation is a separate organisation, governed by an independent board of trustees and with its own objectives and goals. 

The Access Foundation wants to fund projects and activities that make a real difference to people’s lives in the countries the Access group is active.To achieve our objectives, we are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to help run and improve our operational processes.

Job objectives 

• Support the trustees in the due diligence and evaluation of each applicant and facilitate the decision-making process for each application 

• Support the ongoing evaluation process of all successful applicants and ensure agreed measures and outcomes are reported back to the Foundation in a timely manner 

• Manage the external communication of the Foundation’s successes back to stakeholders and supporters, as well as other channels on social media, such as Instagram and LinkedIn 

• Manage the communication with the Access Group and maintain an open channel of communication with the charities team at the Access group 

• Manage the Admin and Grants Assistant and ensure all Admin processes as well as operational processes are running smoothly and make changes where required 

• Manage the use of the accounting package Access Financials to ensure processes are followed and grantees paid on time.

• Oversee the data collation for and write the impact report 

• Collaborate and work with the trustees and volunteers 

Duties and responsibilities will include 

• Write regular reports to the trustees of new applications, applications in progress and outcomes, inform and advise the trustees to achieve a swift decision on all cases 

• Organise the publicity and communications around each successful grant, including newsfeeds, social media and website updates. 

• Liase with the Access Marketing team to support their own comms 

• Ensure financial accounts are accurate and complete 

• Liase with 3rd parties such as external suppliers and partners ranging from auditors to our financial partners 

• Draft Offer letters for the successful applicants 

• Recruit, Manage and Appraise the Admin and Grant Assistant

• Attend trustees, volunteers and applications meetings 

• Manage the access controls for volunteers and staff 

• Oversee the financial accounts, approve invoices on our bespoke Finance system and deal with some financial accounting together with our Chair of the board of trustees 

Skills and Experience Required 

• Organised, efficient and reliable with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneous 

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role 

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels from junior to CEO 

• Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook. 

• The ability to be an ambassador for the Foundation to all external parties and stakeholders 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to travel to London as required (minimum once every 6 weeks) 

• Sympathy for grassroot charities

About the role

Our Policy and Public Affairs team exists to build support amongst key decision makers so that we can fund lifesaving research into heart disease. We develop the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) position, engaging and influencing stakeholders to help ensure the UK remains a global leader in heart and circulatory research while advocating for the 7.6 million people living with heart and circulatory diseases across the UK.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you

With an interest in, and understanding of the external political environment, you'll have a good understanding of the workings of the UK Government and parliamentary procedure. You'll have an understanding of the role of BHF and other health and medical research charities in general, and particularly in the political arena.

You'll have experience of working in the UK Parliament or within a public affairs in-house team or consultancy, and have excellent communication skills. Having previously engaged with political stakeholders, you'll be able to build strong relationships with key internal and external colleagues.

With a proven ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively for political audiences in a variety of formats, you’ll be able to summarise complex information swiftly and accurately for a variety of audiences. You'll also have strong organisational skills, including experience of coordinating events.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Policy & Public Affairs Officer to support our Policy Team in the London office.

This exciting Policy & Public Affairs Officer role will lead on developing and influencing specific policy priorities identified by the Foundation as areas where change is most needed to improve the population’s mental health. Initially, the policy area of focus for this role will be the mental health of asylum seekers and refugees.

What does the role involve?

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policy and legislative developments affecting public mental health and particular priority policy topics for the Foundation.
• Carry out background research, developing influencing plans, responding to government consultations and providing briefings for politicians and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure the Foundation’s stakeholders, including people with lived experience of mental ill health, are involved in development of policy work and strategy.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

Mid-Level Giving Officer

Position Objective:

The Mid-Level Giving Officer will support PETA’s impact and growth through their work with an exciting portfolio of mid-level donors typically giving £250 - £999 size gifts. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of cultivating, stewarding and soliciting from this pool of valued supporters, including Vanguard Society Members, to provide a first-rate donor experience while deepening members’ engagement and financial support. The Mid-Level Giving Officer will also work collaboratively with other departments to enhance the mid-level donor experience, identify and refer major donor prospects to the appropriate team members, and ensure that efficient processes are in place.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of Vanguard Society donors and prospects
• Creating engaging donor journeys and presenting opportunities for deeper engagement
• Develop and implement donor-specific plans of strategic communication touches by phone, email and mail. This will include updates on PETA’s progress and victories, messages of gratitude, invitations to events, and asks to donors to increase their financial support. 
• Manage a portfolio of Vanguard Society and mid-level donors, each giving £250 + or with the capacity to make annual gifts at a higher level (at one time as well as cumulatively), including cultivating and stewarding each donor to increase their engagement and giving.
• Solicit and close gifts from assigned mid-level donors.
• Regularly qualify new prospects and donors in their capacity, inclination, affinity, and readiness to give.
• Track and achieve key activity and revenue metrics, while meeting weekly with the manager to report on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
• Ensure that mid-level donors’ database records are updated in a timely fashion. Document pertinent information (meetings, correspondence, notes, etc.) for the purpose of enhancing and developing PETA's donor database.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other teams and colleagues, including legacy, direct response, data, prospect research and communications, to enhance the donor experience and ensure that efficient processes are in place.
• Stay up-to-date on mid-level fundraising techniques and methods used in the nonprofit sector and attend professional-training opportunities as well as weekly coaching and progress reporting meetings
• Conduct oneself in a professional, friendly and truthful manner to donors.
• Perform any other duties requested by the supervisor.
• Acknowledge, thank and recognise donors appropriate to their level of support, and ensure restricted gifts are appropriately allocated
• Work with key PETA staff to find ways to engage donors in our mission, including by meeting supporters face to face or over the phone
• Monitor donors’ motivations and help to contribute to tailor cultivation events
• Maintain a clear understanding of – and the ability to articulate – PETA's objectives as well as details of specific PETA programmes
• Keep all donors in the portfolio up to date on the campaigns and initiatives of PETA and our affiliates
• Document pertinent information for the purpose of enhancing and developing donor profiles, including demographic, donation, correspondence, membership, and personal information for Vanguard Society members
• Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant departmental software (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, NXT, etc) in order to improve communication with donors
• Assist with the preparation and proofreading of mailings and other communications, as needed
• Monitor the acknowledgment process at Woods, working closely with staff to ensure that acknowledgements and welcome packs are sent out efficiently and that queries are passed to us within the agreed timeframe

About the Role

The post is new to EJF, offering an unusual opportunity to join a dynamic growing organisation and help deliver on EJF’s vision for the future. The role will work directly with the directors and COO, senior management, and colleagues in every geography, giving unique insights into each team's operations and impacts and the issues they are working on.

This role is for you if you are enthusiastic and self-motivated with superb, precise and persuasive written skills and meticulous attention to detail. You are organised and able to meet deadlines and prioritise your workload. You have a track record of writing successful grant applications and meeting the reporting requirements to deadlines. You enjoy researching and reaching out to prospective funders, building relationships, and liaising with colleagues to ensure you have the information needed to craft winning proposals. You are a confident speaker who will inspire funders to support our work.

Responsibilities include:

• Research and make recommendations of funding opportunities (new funders) and the best fit with EJF’s current and planned programmes. Draft initial enquiries (LoI or call) or funding applications. Ensure timely, appropriate follow-up is conducted and that we collect and learn from feedback.

• As directed, manage relationships with funders, ensuring timely reporting that meets their needs. This will include drafting the funder newsletter (bi-monthly) and providing new materials, such as reports, films, audits, etc.

• Draft funding proposals and monitor all deadlines for reporting, planning for the timebound and efficient delivery, and working with team members to ensure the highest quality reports are drafted in good time.

• Organise a monthly meeting with the directors and COO to present opportunities and actions and agree on priorities and approaches to donors.

• Take the lead in preparing government grant applications, liaising with colleagues for information and finessing draft texts.

• Maintain the grant database and ensure it is regularly checked and updated and that leads are followed up.

• Maintain the grants calendar, ensuring you are aware of reporting deadlines and other priority needs well in advance and ensuring no deadlines are missed. The role will take a proactive lead and coordinate as required.

• Assist in delivering events to update existing and attract new funders and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Assist in crafting presentations to funders and, as required, work with the comms team to develop films or other materials.

Essential skills and attributes

• You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable experience drafting clear, precise, and engaging copy, winning fundraising proposals, and supporting materials.

• You can deliver presentations and engage with funders.

• You are meticulously organised and able to meet multiple priorities to tight deadlines.

• You are friendly, self-motivated, and confident, and you can connect easily with colleagues and funders.

• Fluent in written and spoken English; other modern European languages are an asset.

The role

As Marketing Executive, you’ll have a broad and varied role, working with our Marketing and Digital Manager to deliver Marketing and Communications projects at a critical time for the Football Foundation and for grassroots sports. Working within the Brand, Marketing and Communications Team, you’ll provide proactive support across all Marketing and Communications activity.

You’ll work with the team to plan and deliver impactful campaigns, including the creation of campaign launch presentations and coordinating campaign evaluations. You’ll build key relationships and will support the cascade of information to internal and external stakeholders. You’ll help deliver opening and milestone events and shoots for Foundation funded sites. Due to the breadth of the role and the variety of the projects, you can expect it to be an exciting role, with no two days the same.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £35,000 - £39,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
