You may have thought that leprosy is an ancient Biblical disease, but today someone is diagnosed with leprosy every two minutes. It is a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Stigma and discrimination mean many people with leprosy hide their symptoms for as long as possible, living in terrible fear of what will happen to them. But without fast treatment, leprosy can cause blindness and disable hands and feet. Rejection, isolation, hopelessness. We believe that this is not how God wants people to live. The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with over 150 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. Being a Head of Fundraising at St Wilfrid’s

As an interim Head of Fundraising, covering maternity leave, you will need strong leadership skills, a passion for fundraising with a track record for delivering financial results, and a desire to work for a meaningful cause. This role leads an incredible team of 12 dedicated fundraising professionals who, along with the support of our event volunteers, work tirelessly to support our Hospice. Their dedication to, and care for, our supporters generates over £4 million annually, which is vital for funding our care.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our fundraising department thrives, and will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive fundraising budget, including forecasting for the future, working closely with the Director of Income Generation
• Developing effective fundraising programmes in all revenue streams, identifying priority areas – to enhance the fundraising portfolio of income generation activities; consistently evaluating and adjusting plans and strategies
• Ensuring the close management of income and expenditure, making adjustments where necessary to ensure good financial management
• Leading, building and motivating the Fundraising team, providing leadership and management and overseeing development and training, to enable individuals to reach their full potential
• Collaborating closely with our marketing and retail heads as one of our department leads

Please note this is 30-37.5 hour a week, fixed term contract, until September 2026.

Qualifications and Experience

• Fundraising experience and specialist knowledge at a senior level and in a wide range of fundraising income streams
• Level 7 qualification in Fundraising
• Extensive practical experience at a senior level of leading and developing the skills of a team
• Experience of building high level relationships
• Experience of developing funding propositions, campaigns and securing significant funds in excess of £2m annually
• Experience of successful delivery against targets
• Excellent communication and networking skills

We are seeking a faith filled, people focussed senior leader offering operational management which includes oversight of our Support Services Hub and staff team and developing commercial enterprise, to contribute to our financial resilience and resource mission.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Team Rector in developing and implementing the strategy, systems and capacity to enable the parish and its churches and worshipping communities to be effective in fulfilling the parish vision and priorities.   

The purpose of the role is to provide strategic oversight and efficient management of the operational, administrative, financial, HR, safeguarding and property functions of the parish.  The role includes day to day management of the Support Services Hub and staff team who are at the forefront of support for operations and enterprise.  

In terms of enterprise, your role will be to develop and implement an entrepreneurial approach to income generation and financial sustainability.  This might focus on our use of buildings, the development of other innovative commercial enterprise and developing and implementing other fundraising strategies (including grant applications).  We already hire out many of our buildings, yet we recognise that our buildings and grounds, could be used more innovatively and are seeking somebody who will bring innovation to our thinking and enable our assets to be stewarded more effectively. We are committed to working with the Operations Manager in support of these strategies. 

In all elements of the role, you will be expected to provide operational excellence in line with best practices and agreed protocols, promote a positive work culture that encourages growth and development.

We are seeking an experienced, driven and passionate Head of Public Fundraising to lead the mass fundraising team to achieve sustainable income growth over the coming years. We are looking for someone with energy and ambition, who can demonstrate strategic leadership to maximise fundraising opportunities across Community, Challenge Events, Regular Giving, Legacy and In Memory audiences, to grow our supporter networks and optimise supporter engagement and experience. Leukaemia UK and You 

We have recently invested in growing our fundraising team so that we can fund more life-changing research to increase our understanding of leukemia as a disease, and accelerate the development of kinder, more effective treatments. This includes investment to grow the public fundraising team, develop new fundraising products, recruit new supporters, and increase legacy giving through targeted campaigns. 

We are also in the process of developing our new 5-year fundraising strategy, so you will be instrumental in creating an ambitious new plan to develop a diverse and sustainable mass fundraising portfolio, covering the key areas of donor acquisition, retention, and growth, with a focus on maximising our Challenge and Community events portfolio, and increasing Legacy, In Memory and Regular giving.  You will be responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of products to grow voluntary income, whilst leading a newly expanded and ambitious team. And you will help shape our data strategy, working with the Head of Digital and other colleagues across the organisation to develop our digital fundraising strategy; embed usage of our CRM and ensure GDPR compliance. 

You will be results-driven with an appetite to innovate and drive continuous improvement, leading to increased conversions, deepened relationships, and long-term support.

Requirements - Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable experience of strategic leadership and oversight of a mass fundraising product portfolio.
• Proven experience of managing an engaging Community and Challenge Events fundraising portfolio.
• Proven experience of driving Legacy and In Memory giving to create a robust long-term pipeline. Experience of successfully developing and implementing legacy marketing strategies.
• Proven experience of applying the principles and techniques of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multichannel, multi-discipline environment to deliver significant returns and supporter satisfaction, especially through supporter recruitment channels. 
• Experience of fully integrating a CRM database as a tool in the day-to-day work and running of a charity. 
• Demonstrable experience of managing a high performing team, focussing on creating a culture where people thrive as individuals and can be their best selves.
• Experience of managing multi-channel media campaigns by utilising print and digital channels including social media and email.
• Good experience of building effective relationships with internal and external partners, including creative freelancers, media and direct marketing agencies.
• Experience of working with, negotiating with, and managing outputs of external agencies and internal departments, including contractual obligations.
• Strong project-management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising direct marketing campaigns.
• Experience of setting and managing annual budgets, monitoring, and reconciling results and financial performance in income and expenditure. Providing associated narratives and monthly reforecasts.
• Proven experience of driving effective stewardship programmes to maximising supporter experience.

Requirements - Knowledge

• Excellent specialist knowledge of the principals and methods of Public Fundraising, including Challenge Events, Community, Legacy, In Memory and Individual Giving.
• Understanding of the effective development and use of supporter contact strategies, turning analysis and insight into high performance activity.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current digital fundraising trends, including social media marketing.
• High Level knowledge of Salesforce CRM databases and how best to utilise to steward supporters.
• Knowledge and experience of marketing processes and techniques across varied channels.
• High Level knowledge of legacy administration. 
• High Level knowledge and understanding of charity law in relation to legacy fundraising, GDPR, PECR, data protection and other relevant fundraising regulation.

Role specifics & Benefits       

• Hours: Full time hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday
• Location: We are very flexible! Our hybrid working policy is a minimum of two days per month in our London office unless it’s a role requirement to be in more frequently. Typically, we would expect the role holder to be in the office once a week, and certain roles within the team have this as a minimum requirement.

We are now looking to strengthen our Fundraising Team.  Although we are open to a variety of candidate experience, the overall team must be absolutely focused on achieving successful grants applications and Fundraising that delivers no less than £185k p/a, and significantly more to meet our growth aspirations. 

So, you could have a proven track record of fundraising and providing accurate forecasting to CEO and Trustees with a good knowledge of, and existing relationships with foundations and grant-giving organisations, or, you might be a strong administrator, ideally with some experience of managing the full life cycle of a grant applications.  All team members are expected to own and progress multiple Grant applications and own a fundraising target of thier own

We are looking for up to 2 people to join our fundraising team. These are part time roles (max hrs expected to be 18hrs) depending on applicant.  Ideally we are looking for one very senior experienced Fundraising Manager (and minimum salary will be adjusted accordingly) and one Grant Administrator but overall team success is key and org structure can be adjusted accordingly.

Location:  is flexible but applicants must be prepared to be in the office in Farnham with the rest of the Fundraising team and Director of Services at least half a day a week

Prevent Breast Cancer is the only charity in the UK entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer. Across the UK, over 55,900 women develop breast cancer each year; tragically over 11,500 do not survive. Your income generating skills will support and fund cutting-edge research to change that.

About the role:

As Prevent Breast Cancer's Community Fundraising Lead, you'll help grow and maintain income so they can continue their incredibly important work. You'll do this through supporting and developing relationships across the community income stream which includes businesses, community groups, schools and Prevent's brilliant Paint Your Town Pink campaign. You'll also be researching potential new campaigns and thinking up ways to advance community fundraising.

You'll grow and steward a pipeline of new and existing audiences and fundraising opportunities, ensuring that the supporter journey is always exceptional while contributing to robust financial planning, management and reporting of income and expenditure in your own areas of expertise on a monthly basis. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the wider fundraising team to identify relevant products/ events/ campaigns/ Gifts-in-Kind that will be of interest to existing and potential supporters.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be a natural communicator, who has excellent networking and relationship building skills. You'll be someone whose work remains high quality even when under pressure, and you'll be highly organised.

You're a flexible and adaptable fundraiser, who can work well independently, as well as part of the team. Most importantly, you'll be keen to use your experience to support the only UK charity committed solely to predicting and preventing breast cancer.

As a Fundraising Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting all aspects of our fundraising activity – from day-to-day operations to our ambitious Transforming Lives Appeal. You’ll work closely with individuals, community groups, and organizations to inspire and maximize their fundraising potential.

About the role

• Support all aspects of fundraising for both day-to-day needs as well as the Transforming Lives Appeal
• Proactively work with individuals, community groups, and organisations to encourage and maximize their fundraising potential
• Assist in the development of strong relationships with donors and supporters by engaging them on a professional level and understanding their motivations
• Assist in delivering the fundraising events programme contributing your ideas to help develop and plan events and supporting their delivery
• Engage with students and staff on an ongoing basis to facilitate the understanding of their fundraising needs as well as to be able to host tours of the trust in a knowledgeable manner
• Assist in all aspects of administration from taking calls, answering emails, and general administration tasks
• Deliver a consistent and high quality of supporter engagement through all enquiry channels
• Contribute new ideas and continually seek to improve processes to drive efficiency and improve supporter experience

What we’re looking for:

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or above
• Experience of charity, sales, marketing or administrationExcellent organization and administrative skills
• Excellent IT skills and good understanding of social media
• Working on databases
• Self-motivated with a flexible approach to working including being available to assist with events during evenings and weekends
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and written communication skills with an attention to detail – able to interact at all levels within the trust in a professional and engaging manner
• Full clean driving license – post holder to be prepared to use own car in line with Trust driving policy

What the job involves

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support High Value, Philanthropy and Partnerships teams. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of high value fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.

Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand and our senior Business Partner in embedding and developing our business partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of High Value Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll work closely with our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Appeal teams to help plan and deliver inspiring communications that support our fundraising strategy. From pitching proposals and event promotion to major appeal campaigns, you’ll help build strong relationships with major donors and partners. You’ll also make sure high value fundraising activity is joined up with our wider communications and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.

Please note this role is known internally as Communications Business Partner (High Value Fundraising).

Just over a year ago, Children Not Numbers was founded in response to the unprecedented crisis facing Palestinian children in Gaza.

Our UK-based medico-legal NGO was established to be a voice for the most vulnerable and innocent victims: children. We chose the name Children Not Numbers to acknowledge that the dead and wounded are not simply statistics.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our growing and ambitious fundraising team. This diverse role is key to helping us raise vital funds through individual giving, community fundraising initiatives, and challenge events. You’ll support the smooth running of our regular giving programme, handle general fundraising administration and ensure excellent supporter care and team efficiency. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you:

• Have 1+ years' employment within a charity or NGO, ideally within a fundraising team or an international development organisation.
• Reside in the UK  and hold right to work status
• Are already set up, or are able to set up, in order to fulfil a contractor role (this is not a PAYE employee position)
