Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Belfast or Sligo (with responsibilities in both regions)

Salary: £28,000/€32,200 per annum pro rata

Hours: 18 hours per week

Role Brief:

The Rio Ferdinand Foundation are recruiting an experienced Finance Officer to oversee the financial monitoring and reporting of an  exciting new cross-border PEACE Academy programme in Belfast and Sligo, funded by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) PEACEPLUS programme https://www.seupb.eu/

The aim of this new three-year programme, is to deliver and evidence a PEACE Academy pathway of engagement, learning, social action and employability that will inspire young people from communities in Northern Ireland and Ireland to create shared experiences and build a long-term response to sectarianism, racism and hate on a cross community and cross border basis.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will:

§ Work with Director of Development and Programme Manager to implement appropriate financial processes around the programme.

§ Oversee all expenditure requests, in line with the Foundation’s Financial Controls Policy

§ Be the key point of contact for any finance related queries relating to the programme.

§ Track and monitor all expenditure for the programme, in line with agreed budgets and cashflow forecasts.

§ Collate and send the Director of Development monthly actuals reports reconciled against forecasts alerting them to any deviations from planned budgets.

§ Collate monthly invoices and expenditure receipts to share with the bookkeeping team ahead of monthly payment run deadlines.

§ Collate monthly timesheets, cross-reference for final sign off and send to payroll for processing ahead of the monthly deadline.

§ Ensure all programme expenditure is shared with the bookkeeping team for uploading to our accounting software Xero clearly marked to aid filing under the appropriate cost centre and category.

§ Oversee financial reporting and income draw down under the PEACE Academy programme.

§ Provide regular financial reports to the Programme Manager and Directors as required

§ Work with our Admin Officer on the financial administration of the programme.

Person Specification/Key skills:

§ Degree level education in finance/accounting or similar experience

§ At least two years finance officer experience

§ Experience of financial administration for complex projects working in multiple currencies.

§ Experience of third sector financial reporting for a range of funders

§ Experience of working on SEUPB PEACEPLUS programmes (desirable)

§ Ability to build positive working relationships with young people, community stakeholders, colleagues and partners

§ An interest in youth and community development work

§ Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment

§ Competent working independently as well as part of a small team

§ A confident communicator with good written and spoken English

§ IT skills including Microsoft office and XERO accounting software (essential)

§ Experience in writing financial reports and financial draw down processes

Head of Development and Fundraising – The Role:

In this part-time role (22.5 hrs p/w) you will be responsible for all aspects of fund raising for The Middle Temple and for the associated activity. You will generate the strategy, annual fundraising plan and then enact activity to achieve the objectives set in the plan.

We’d love to hear from you if you are an experienced fundraising practitioner who has built strategies and plans with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Head of Development and Fundraising – Key Responsibilities:

- To write the Middle Temple fundraising strategy and annual plan. Then, to enact the plan to achieve fundraising objectives

- To organise and run the annual calendar of fundraising activities, including appeals

- To manage the oversight of the Trustees of the Middle Temple charity and fund through regular meetings of these groups

- To manage, and keep updated, the fundraising databases and information sources required to enable the Inn’s fundraising

- Identify, cultivate and then apply to various funding sources, both internally and externally including grants and trusts

- Write funding applications where appropriate, monitor and track donations and keep financial records up to date

Head of Development and Fundraising – You:

- An experienced fundraising practitioner used to both creating strategies and plans as well as operating as a ‘hands on’ operator

- Experience of a similar working environment and/or understanding of the workings of other not-for-profit organisations

- Strong administrative experience, ideally in a fundraising role, dealing with the legal and administrative requirements of fundraising including the relationship management of donors

- Experience in managing the requirements of a charity including accounting, reporting and attending meetings of the Charity’s Trustees

- IT literate with experience of using databases (Salesforce and CiviCRM), Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

- Excellent communications skills (verbally and in writing) at all levels

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Youth Project Worker to support the delivery of Bright Futures. This is a varied role that combines project coordination, outreach support, administration, and direct engagement with young people.

You’ll help keep the programme running smoothly behind the scenes while also building trusted relationships with partner services and young people and families, supporting communications, and contributing to learning and reflection.

What will the role involve?

As a Youth Project Worker, you will:

• Support the day-to-day administration of the mentoring and employability programme, including record-keeping and report preparation
• Help coordinate communications activities such as creating new material, WhatsApp updates, and social media
• Maintain and grow referral networks with employers, training providers, and community organisations
• Engage directly with young people and their families to raise awareness and encourage participation
• Hold a light caseload of mentees and support mentoring activities as needed
• Contribute to programme monitoring, evaluation, and learning

This is a newly developed Careers Advisor role is funded by the North East Combined Authority and forms a core part of our strategy to improve employment outcomes for women from Black and racially minoritised communities who are not currently in work or education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Careers Advisor to rebuild and lead an impactful careers service within the Angelou Centre.

Many of the women we support have English as an additional language and face multiple barriers to employment. They are survivors who are on a journey to rebuilding their independence and therefore may require additional training support with household budgeting, life skills or understanding the public transport system amongst other things. Your work will directly support women to take confident, supported steps into training, volunteering and work often for the first time in the UK.

This role combines direct client work with strategic development with support from the Senior Administrator. You’ll be responsible for managing individual development plans and setting SMART goals with our service users, building local opportunity networks, and helping to develop a robust data recording system to demonstrate outcomes and impact.

As Finance Manager for The Angelou Centre you will have a key leadership position. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of our finances, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements while ensuring our services are sustainable through sound financial planning. You will work closely with the Executive Director and Trustee Board to provide accurate insights and projections that support long-term growth and resilience.

You will play a pivotal role in reviewing and establishing a robust finance and administrative system and procedures, managing risks and ensuring our charity finances can support delivery of our mission. You will also contribute to the development of funding applications, tenders, and financial strategies. You will play a key role in supporting funding applications, demonstrating impact through financial reporting, and building processes that enable future growth.

• Is an experienced charity finance professional with strong technical knowledge
• Has at least 5 years of experience in a leadership and management role or similar position
• Is confident working with VAT (including partial exemption) and income from trading

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight

• Lead all aspects of day-to-day financial operations
• Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts to be presented to the Trustees and Executive Director
• Develop and maintain budgets for the whole organisation and departments
• Monitor and report on VAT liability, ensuring accurate submissions and VAT reclaim where appropriate

The Access is Justice Foundation is seeking a Grants Officer who will join our Grants Team to provide ongoing administrative, operational, and data management support for our grant making activity, working alongside others in the Grants Team. Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices

JOB PURPOSE

The main purpose of this post is to provide comprehensive financial management for Bradford Hospitals Charity, ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and effective management of the Charity's financial position.

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting the charity through its exciting transition to independence, establishing appropriate financial systems, controls, and procedures to ensure the charity can operate effectively as an independent organisation. This will include developing new financial governance structures and helping to shape the charity's financial strategy for the future.

The Finance Manager will lead on all aspects of the Charity's financial management, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making by the Charity Director and Trustees. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant professional standards, Charity Commission requirements, and NHS guidelines.

The postholder will maintain a close working relationship with the Trust finance team to benefit from their expertise while ensuring the Charity's specific financial management needs are met during and after the transition to independence. JOB DIMENSIONS

The post will have responsibility for the Charity's financial systems, including managing and monitoring all charitable income and expenditure, financial forecasting, producing monthly Financial and management accounts, annual accounts, and maintaining effective control systems.

A key aspect of this role is managing the Charity's portfolio of trust funds, which consists of various restricted, designated and unrestricted funds. The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all donations are correctly allocated to the appropriate funds, that expenditure from these funds complies with donors' wishes and charity law, and that fund balances are accurately tracked and reported.

The postholder will carry out their duties in line with departmental accounting policies, and with reference to Trust Standard Financial Instructions (SFIs) & Standing Orders (SOs), as well as charity-specific financial regulations and requirements.

The Finance Manager will provide expert financial advice to fund advisors, Charity staff, and the Charity Director, taking initiative to achieve agreed results and working independently on a day-to-day basis within clearly defined policies, protocols, procedures, and codes of conduct.
