The Ancient Tree Forum (ATF) is seeking a motivated and organised Technical and Engagement Officer to join our small, friendly and flexible team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a charity dedicated to safeguarding the UK’s ancient and veteran trees, along with their wildlife, heritage and cultural values. 

This role is vital to achieving our strategic outcomes by providing expert technical advice, supporting and collaborating with the Technical Advisory Panel to develop authoritative guidance and publications. You will act as a key contact for public and stakeholder enquiries and contribute technical expertise to ATF’s communications across our website, newsletter, social media and press activity. 

You will engage with sector networks, collaborate with partners and support strategic messaging. This role will help strengthen the charity’s visibility and impact in ancient and veteran tree conservation and protection. 

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in the Durham area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke.

Position: S11233 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Durham. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: £19,596 per annum (FTE £27,400 per annum)

Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week

Contract: Permanent. However, services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31 March 2026.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Deliver 6 month post stroke reviews.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

• A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
• Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
• Ability to use basic Microsoft systems.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

The Prison Phoenix Trust

The PPT are the leading experts in yoga and meditation in prisons in the UK and Ireland. Since 1988 we have supported the personal development and rehabilitation people living in prison through meditation and yoga. We do this through 121 mentoring, group yoga classes, peer support newsletters and resources such as books and DVDs that help people practise yoga and meditation in their cells. We deliver the British Wheel of Yoga’s accredited training Teaching Yoga in Prison.

A small staff and volunteer team based in Oxford works with a network of self-employed yoga and meditation teachers across the UK and Ireland.

This new role is part of an expansion of the staff team to build the capacity of the charity to meet the growing demands for its services and the income to support this.

The role

At an exciting time for the expansion of the charity’s fundraising activities, the Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving and expanding the charity’s income from individual donors while leading the development and execution of community fundraising initiatives and events. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing long-term relationships with individual donors, cultivating new donor prospects, and developing innovative community engagement strategies, working with The PPT’s Development Lead.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and passionate professional with expertise in donor relations, event management, and community fundraising. They will be skilled at creating impactful experiences that inspire both individual and collective action, making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

1. Individual Fundraising
Innovate and implement a donor acquisition strategy appropriate for the values of The PPT.

• Implement an audience segmentation approach to building individual, regular and legacy giving, drawing on accurate analysis of data, using The PPT’s Access database.
• Project manage delivery of quarterly postal appeals including segmentation and targeting of messaging, mail-merge and printing, dispatch by volunteers or mailing house.
• Email marketing, including use of Mailchimp to segment audiences and target messages.
• Optimise The PPT’s use of JustGiving and other fundraising platforms, regularly reviewing performance.
• Optimise fundraising functionality of The PPT’s website and support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new website.

2. Community fundraising

• Manage and plan the growth of The PPT’s community fund raising activities, with a particular focus on yoga groups and faith groups.
• Review and develop cost-effective levels of support for fundraisers.

3. Donor care:

• Manage relationships with current and prospective donors and fundraisers by ensuring timely acknowledgment of gifts.
• Refine use of automated systems, such as Mailchimp and JustGiving to automate acknowledgement of gifts where appropriate, while ensuring optimum levels of personalisation, such as hand-written cards and notes.  Fulfil established donor journeys, ensuring donor led and annual stewardship is met.

4. Data management, analysis and reporting

• Maintain and update The PPT’s supporter database, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.  Initially using Access and adapt with the move to a new database/CRM programme.
• Track, monitor and report quarterly on results of FR activities
• Support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new database and/or customer relationship management system.

5. Event Coordination

• Plan and project manage delivery of The PPT’s public facing, fundraising and donor stewardship events including planning, promotion, logistics, and follow-up.
• Integrate donor care into event planning, ensuring that donors feel personally valued and appreciated before, during, and after events.
• Work with Communications Coordinator in producing printed and display materials for events.
• Plan and project-manage delivery of The PPT’s presence at networking events for example in yoga, faith and criminal justice communities.

6. Communications and Marketing

• Contribute to development of social media audiences to meet charity’s profile-raising and fundraising objectives.
• Craft compelling messages and content for supporter communications that highlight The PPT’s mission and impact.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

• Proven fundraising experience, especially in individual giving (e.g., regular giving, legacies, donor stewardship, direct mail, online fundraising
• Knowledge of best practices and ethical standards in fundraising, with a strong focus on donor care
• Expertise in using Excel and Access to analyse and report on fundraising data
• Skilled in using Mailchimp and CRM systems (e.g. Donorfy, Beacon, Salesforce) to manage donor journeys and stewardship - Comfortable analysing donor trends and campaign performance

Desirable

• Membership of a professional fundraising body (e.g. IoF) or evidence of continuous professional developmen
• Knowledge of emerging trends and innovations in donor engagement and stewardship

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and enthusiastic Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser to join a high performing and friendly fundraising team.

As a key member of the Trusts and Grants Team, the Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser will work closely with the Head of Trusts and Grants to raise funds from a portfolio of charitable trusts in accordance with Child Bereavement UK’s budgets and targets.

We are looking for someone with proven experience of generating income from trusts and foundations.

You will have:

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write researched, powerful and compelling copy
• Excellent research skills to identify prospective funders
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Experience working with commissions is desirable but not essential

This role comes at a particularly important time for CBUK when the charity is looking to evolve and grow services, diversify into new areas, and raise significant funds for ongoing work. The Trusts & Grants Team are a vital part of the charity’s expansion into new areas, and the post-holder will have the opportunity to work with frontline staff to develop new projects and bids.

Seeking an enthusiastic, proactive Communications Assistant to play a vital role in our organisation's mission to advance higher education in London. With guidance and support from the Head of Communications, responsibilities will include developing and maintaining social media channels, creating engaging digital content, and supporting communications activities across multiple platforms.

The post holder will work within our team of specialist welfare benefits advisers, as a specialist welfare benefits adviser providing information, advice, and guidance to clients in our Macmillan-funded Welfare Benefits Project, providing a welfare rights advice service to people affected by cancer to maximise their income.

Scope of role

The post holder will undertake casework, assisting clients to access their entitlements to welfare benefits and other sources of financial help. Advice will be delivered through a range of channels, including face-to-face, telephone, email, and other means, provide Welfare Benefits advice and information to people living with cancer and their families.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Case work

• Provide a full welfare benefits casework service for people affected by cancer. This includes disability benefits and other sources of financial support, such as grants and help with health and travel costs.

Welfare Benefit Appeals

• Assist clients to prepare for benefits appeals, research, and the draft was written legal submissions, and provide representation at tribunals as required.

Outreach

• Alongside other team members provide advice sessions through outreach, including at hospitals - currently St Bartholomews, Homerton, Royal London, Newham, and Whipps Cross; and at Toynbee Hall through telephone, email, and any other channel

Targets

• Meet targets as set with the line manager, which will change regularly depending on the needs of the services.

Quality Standard

• Ensure consistent quality assured advice, to AQS standard, monitored by checking casework and observations
• Maintain thorough and detailed case records for continuity of casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring, and report preparation
• Use all relevant case management systems, such as Advice Pro, as well as Microsoft Office applications, for statistical recording, record keeping, and document production. Ensure all work conforms to Toynbee Hall’s systems and procedures.
• Along with the rest of the team ensure stocks of leaflets, posters, and stationary, are ordered from suppliers and distributed to outreach locations
• Gather statistics and feedback to monitor and evaluate the service, providing reports as required to the steering group, funders, and partners.

Social Policy

• Support Macmillan Toynbee Hall Welfare Rights Advice Service’s social policy work by providing case studies and feedback on issues of concern to people affected by cancer; including attending internal and appropriate external meetings, and identifying and acting upon social policy issues

Essential Criteria:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Recent Welfare Benefits advice work experience, particularly in the areas of health and disability, with at least one year’s specialist welfare benefits casework experience.
• Ability to write detailed accurate case records and drafts, letters reports, and statements in plain English.
• Recent experiences of working in a performance-driven environment and evidence of meeting targets set.
• An ordered and disciplined approach to managing a challenging caseload, meeting targets; planning and prioritising work in the face of competing demands on your time.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with clients suffering from health problems in a professional but empathetic manner, and the ability to respond sensitively to clients.
• An understanding of the issues facing people affected by long-term illness and disability, including cancer.

Harris Hill are looking for a dedicated and creative Community Fundraiser (South) to join a wonderful charity based in London.

You will have the chance to make a direct impact by working with communities across parishes, schools, and other networks. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, growing the charity base of active supporters, and generating vital funding through various initiatives.

Location: Working from home, covering the Dioceses of Portsmouth, Arundel & Brighton and Southwark

As a Community Fundraiser (South) you will:

• Promote the charity’s pastoral and spiritual work within local communities.
• Develop strong relationships with parishes, schools, and diocesan networks to increase engagement with the charity’s mission.
• Inspire people to make donations and raise funds to support the charity projects, including the sale of charity items and organising fundraising events.
• Recruit and support volunteers, as well as manage fundraising groups and initiatives across the region.
• Manage relationships with high value and legacy donors, ensuring their continued support and engagement.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Previous experience in community fundraising or a related field is beneficial.
• A strong network of contacts within the diocesan community, schools, or special interest groups is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, public speaking abilities, and strong organisational capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media are essential.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and take ownership of key projects, while also being a strong team player.

Salary: £30,000- £36,000 per annum

Our partner is a global charity, are seeking to recruit an International Project Accountant This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a close-knit, collaborative team, with the role having a strong focus on finance business partnering and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and strengthening financial systems, procedures and controls on grant management and compliance, regularly reviewing and updating these; and training staff as required
• Monitoring programmatic activity and spend, and maintaining the grants management tracker tool.
• Preparing financial information for internal reporting, and assisting in the  preparation of the programmes finance elements on statutory financial statements
• Overseeing the financial administration of programmes grants. This includes reviewing concept notes and proposals, preparing donor and sub-grant agreements, setting up grant codes, and preparing donor reports.
• Supporting on budget proposal development and refinement for new grant proposals; and ensuring that donor and the foundation rules on accounting, procurement and project implementation are adhered to.
• Supporting in reviewing and approving due diligence assessments on potential partners, and carrying out monitoring visits and audits of projects.
• Supporting in the preparation of and implementing the recommendations of donor grant audits.
• Undertake overseas travel (around 2-3 trips a year)

Person Specification

• Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in programmes financial accounting & reporting; developing and managing administrative systems; and budgeting, forecasting and cashflow monitoring.
• Ideally, experience of institutional grant budget proposal development, compliance, monitoring and reporting; this includes experience in managing FCDO, EU, ECHO, German government, Swedish government, and USAID funding.
• Excellent numeracy & financial analysis skills
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of MSOffice, especially MSExcel
• Excellent command of the English language, both in a written and oral capacity.
• Strong business partnering skills, including experience of working with field staff in an INGO setting.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.

The organisation offers hybrid working with the successful candidate expected to be in the office in London 1-2 days/week.

5 days a week (together with up to 8 Saturdays in the year)

As a Development Officer, you will have the opportunity to work right across a range of Christian denominations, engaging with the community, and working with statutory bodies, local government, educational establishments, stakeholders in the local community and the night time economy as well as the voluntary sector.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with great interpersonal skills. You will be outward facing and need to be able to develop strong working relationships with people. A clear and effective communicator,you will also show a willingness to learn and grow with the role and the organisation.

The purpose of the role is to work with AT Senior Management in the development and delivery of the wide-ranging projects of AT. Being a decisive, independent thinker, possessing a strong work ethic and having the ability to work as part of a team are important elements of this role. You will also be asked to meet with existing stakeholders and initiatives, as well as exploring new opportunities to help grow and develop our reach to communities that are in need of support.
