A great opportunity has risen for a Trusts Officer to support our ambitious 5-year strategy by building relationships with Trusts + Foundations, engaging new supporters with our cause and ensuring existing supporters receive first-class stewardship.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will take ownership of your own portfolio of Trusts + Foundations with the capacity to donate up to £10k, leading on all stages of the cultivation cycle from prospect identification to stewardship to retain existing supporters and generate new business. Proactive and tenacious, you will enjoy building relationships with funders via phone and email, using this insight to craft compelling and inspiring proposals and update reports which match funder interests.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be organised, creative, and able to manage competing deadlines across a varied portfolio. You will have robust IT skills, with experience of using a CRM system to update and maintain accurate donor records.

There is significant scope to make your mark on this role, working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation to drive income across our research, services and policy work and develop your own relationship management and grant management skills.

You will act as the leading authority on matters relating to Individual Giving, providing advice across the organisation including to the Director of Income Generation, and cross-organisational Income Generation Activity Group.

You will enable the delivery of the transformation Individual Giving workstream.  And have strategic ownership of the Individual Giving programme, including income-related activities and KPIs within the engagement calendar, and customer experience and journeys relating to financial supporters

You will lead on Individual Giving planning and budget setting, contributing to the overall business planning process for Income Generation.

This role will require travel to the Sheffield office 3–4 days a week (including Thursdays at Howden House), and occasional travel to other partner sites. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join The King’s Trust on an external secondment, working in partnership with Sheffield City Council to support more young people into roles across the Integrated Care System (ICS), with a focus on the Sheffield region. This role is ideal for someone with experience in project coordination, employer engagement, and youth employment support. As this is a new model for the Trust, you'll help shape the project alongside Sheffield City Council, local NHS Trusts, and the ICB.

Based within the Employment & Skills Service of the host organisation, you'll be the main point of contact for employers and young people aged 16–30. You’ll support recruitment and onboarding, deliver one-to-one support for young applicants, and facilitate access to financial and wellbeing services. You’ll also represent employer partners at events and track outcomes for young people supported into work.

Although employed by The King’s Trust, you’ll work under an honorary contract within the host organisation. The role is home-based, with a requirement to be in the Sheffield office 3–4 days a week (including Thursdays at Howden House), and occasional travel to other partner sites.

After a period of financial transformation, we are now looking for a highly experienced Bookkeeper / Credit Controller. The successful candidate is responsible to provide accurate and timely financial information to both the Community and the National Team. This includes:

• Maintaining accurate records of income and expenditure using Microsoft Business Central (MS Dynamics 365 accounting software);
• Liaising closely with the wider team across L’Arche;
• Working across various sales ledgers throughout the Charity ensuring all monies owed are paid within the agreed payment terms;
• Providing support to the finance team in completion of daily and monthly finance-related tasks;

 
Key essential criteria:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in credit control and bookkeeping;
• Excellent negotiation skills, with strong spoken and written communication skills and a proactive can-do attitude;
• Advance knowledge of Excel and high level of competence in MS Office;
• Persistence and resilience in dealing with complicated ledgers and cash allocations; 
• Strong numerical analytical, and problem-solving skills;

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11304 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Hampshire, specifically North, Mid and Central Hampshire (Basingstoke/Winchester area) However, Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include team meetings or other work related meetings)

Salary: Circa £18,812 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

The Role

• Record and update non-financial supporter information such as, communication preferences, research information and other personal information in line with our Data Protection policy.
• Distribute all parcels in a timely manner, making sure everything is recorded accurately.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• English and Maths GCSE or equivalent grade C or above
• Previous experience providing dedicated administration support.
• Experience of handling sensitive information appropriately

The Juice Academy is an industry-led apprenticeship provider. They are partnered with Clare Sweeney from Keepace Consulting to deliver the 13-15 month Fundraiser Level 3 programme. Apprentices work on the job within a charity whilst receiving 20% off the job training from current industry experts. This is a hands-on role for an experienced organiser who will lead key aspects of our community organising practice. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing a large portfolio of high-value relationships with external running, swimming, cycling, triathlon and obstacle course event organisers. What will I be doing?

• Working with the Product Manager to account manage and develop various high-value relationships with 3rd party event partners across the portfolio ensuring that we hit our income goals by achieving participation targets

• Pitching externally for new or renewal business, including completing applications and/or meeting event organisers in person 

• Building networks with event organisers and key partners within the Sports sector 

• Building knowledge, relationships and stewarding key internal relationships to maximise the value we get out of our partnerships

• Responsible for creating and managing Sports Team web pages and social media pages and producing innovative and bespoke content that is user friendly across all devices and that drives engagement and participation

• Attending on-the-day of events to steward key participants and event partners

• Working with our Event Delivery on key events to plan on-the-day activity and activations

• Taking responsibility for ensuring targets (participation and financial) are fulfilled for your accounts, working with event organisers to improve performance as needed

• Supporting in the delivery of the whole Events Portfolio when required.

Our client is looking for a passionate and driven person to champion species and habitats with particular focus on new building developments / demolitions occurring in Cumbernauld, specifically the Town Centre, Community Growth Areas and their partners Sanctuary Scotland. Building on the success of previous projects, this project continues to realise the Cumbernauld Living Landscape long-term vision to improve Cumbernauld’s green spaces for both people and wildlife, helping everyone in the community connect with the nature on their doorstep. 

The candidate:  

The successful candidate will be educated to at least degree level in one of the following: conservation, ecology or related discipline - or equivalent with a minimum of three years previous experience in working in a nature policy environment, ideally in Scotland. 

Main Objectives 

The main objectives of the role are: 

• Delivery of NNC Advocacy Strategy, created during the Development Phase, championing green infra-structure and nature-positivity, with regards to reactive works for the Community Growth Areas (CGA) and proactive for the Town Centre development 

• Building on the existing work of the Trust, create relationships with the Local Planning Authority Planners; developers and businesses. 

• Develop detailed positions to enable the NNC partnership to contribute to and influence the implementation of Green Infrastructure to urban design and construct. 

• Gather evidence and develop a detailed proposal to improve biodiversity, including provision for bats, swift and sparrows, in developments, as well as retaining and enhancing well connected greenspaces, and prioritising native planting regimes to support wildlife across Cumbernauld. 

• Utilise current evidence from Wild Ways Well evaluations to demonstrate the positive links between increased biodiversity and improved health and wellbeing, helping to reinforce the need for good quality Green Infrastructure from a social perspective. 

• Represent the Trust and Cumbernauld Living Landscape. 

• Help keep the NNC team and partners up to date with significant developments in land management policy or legislation which significantly impact on species and habitats. 

• Facilitate the sharing of research and learning between key stakeholders internally/externally and help identify opportunities for aligning policy and conservation work. 

Wider project work 

• Support the team’s wider communications plan. 

• Support project team with events and other project-wide opportunities. 

• Contribute to project reporting, including Monitoring & Evaluation findings across the life of the project. 

• Knowledge sharing with the wider Trust, including recommendations to find centralised funding to potentially expand and continue the role. 

The successful candidate will ideally have: 

• Knowledge of legislative and policy making process in Scotland and Scottish Government priorities.

• Knowledge of environmental governance structures in Scotland and UK.
