We were founded in 2011 with a £35 million endowment from the National Lottery Community Fund to improve transition to civilian life for Service leavers and their families. We then look to leverage this evidence to effect positive change.
About the role
You will work as part of the Policy, Influencing and Evaluation team to positively influence policy makers and service providers.

What will I be doing?

Project managing and advising on research, evaluation and intervention development/ implementation, from development of the design and methods to communication or results internally and externally
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with research, evaluation, behaviour change and implementation experts, making the most of opportunities for collaboration to help achieve CRUK's strategic priorities, including generating academic publications where possible
Leading the procurement process for the commissioning of external suppliers (e.g. market research agencies)

Wandsworth WellFamily and Foodbank Service is an adult mental health service serving the Wandsworth community and based in foodbanks and GP surgeries across the London Borough of Wandsworth. We offer short term, holistic support focusing on the needs of the whole family whilst directly supporting the adult.
New funding has enabled us to create this post which will focus on increasing our capacity and inclusivity to provide emotional and practical support to the most vulnerable foodbank guests, who present with complex needs. Role Purpose
Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. This is a key role at Southwark Cathedral supporting the Dean. This secretarial role will primarily feature management of a busy personal diary, correspondence and broader administrative support for the Dean in his capacity as Dean of Southwark, Chair of Chapter and CEO of the Cathedral.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination, preparation, planning and follow up for the Dean’s briefing for and attendance at meetings associated with the governance of the Cathedral including Chapter, Finance Committee, Audit & Risk Committee, Nominations Committee, Fabric Advisory Committee and Board of Enterprises. This will include research and assisting in the drafting and review of papers for such meetings, but minute taking will not usually be required (but may be requested from time to time in liaison with members of staff usually responsible for the minutes);
- Support the Dean in all their working relationships including building and maintaining excellent relationships with Chapter Members and Committee Members, the Bishop’s staff and with the wider Diocese, as well as with neighbours, commercial partners, professional advisers and other third-party organisations relating to the Dean’s work;

Terms and Conditions
Working Hours
The working hours shall be 21 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks), usually over three days. Some out of hours working will be required to support meetings and events and this will be notified in advance. Time off in lieu will be awarded in line with Southwark Cathedral’s policy.
Annual Leave
20.5 days per annum including statutory bank holidays, with an additional 5 days (pro-rata) after 10 years’ service.
Probation
The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.
Season Ticket Loan
Once the probationary period has been completed satisfactorily, the person appointed will be eligible to take out a season ticket loan.
Pension
The person appointed will be eligible to join a defined contributions pension scheme managed by the Church Workers Pension Fund. The Cathedral will contribute half of the annual premium of 10% of salary.
Working Expenses
Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

Main responsibilities
- You will build on the excellent foundations laid by the outgoing Community Fundraiser to raise our profile amongst our neighbours and with local organisations
- You will proactively recruit new supporters, build our individual supporter base and develop regular stewardship and communications
- You will offer high-quality relationship management and donor care to supporters including providing fundraising materials, encouragement and support to maximise their fundraising potential, as well as ensuring donors are recognised and thanked for their contribution
- You will develop and deliver fundraising operational plans, ensure good fundraising practice and messaging is embedded throughout the entire organisation.

The Fundraising Officer at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) supports a wide range of the charity’s activities, including but not limited to, helping to develop and grow income from individual donors with a focus on developing strong relationships with donors and families; as well as assisting with CHECT’s overall admin and operations.
