Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre is a user-led charity dedicated to supporting people affected by muscular dystrophy - rare and sometimes life-limiting conditions that impact 110,000 people in the UK. We are one of only two dedicated MD therapy centres in the country and the only one in the Midlands.

We provide long-term, transformative physical therapies and community support to improve mobility, independence and quality of life. In 2025, we aim to support over 600 people through services at our Coventry HQ, satellites across the region, and online.

After a period of significant growth, we’re now focused on consolidating operations, improving systems, and preparing for the next stage in our development -guided by a new five-year strategy.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a small but ambitious charity setting. As Chief Executive, you will:

• Lead the development and delivery of our strategic vision and operational plan.

• Support less experienced staff via positive and effective team working, to achieve high quality standards of care that are set and agreed by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Trust.

We are working in partnership with Emmaus Village Carlton (EVC), a flagship Emmaus community, who give hope and a sense of belonging to those who have experienced homelessness or social exclusion by creating a safe and supported community and opportunities to develop. They are a respected local charity and social enterprise with a unique self-funded model, and capacity for up to 45 Companions to live and gain work experience on site, who are supported by the staff team and volunteers.

They are now seeking a new Head of Finance, who will be a pro-active member of the Senior Leadership Team and actively contribute to the smooth running and ongoing development of the organisation. Position: S11283 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based/Fylde Coast. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £27,400 per annum

Pathfinders is a user-led charity run by and for people living with muscle-weakening conditions. We support disabled people and those who employ personal assistants (PAs) through peer support, information, training, and advocacy. We believe in the power of lived experience and centre disabled voices in everything we do.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of an exciting new learning and development project for individual employers and personal assistants. The project will support people who employ PAs through direct payments and their PAs to develop the knowledge and skills they need through videos, peer-led training, discussion sessions, and case studies.

You will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of the project, ensuring activities run smoothly, are well-attended, and meet the needs of learners. You’ll work closely with people with lived experience of employing PAs, guest speakers, partner organisations, and the wider Pathfinders team to deliver high-quality, accessible training and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of the training project, including scheduling and facilitating sessions, managing communications, and tracking progress against objectives.

The Role
Grow the corporate new business pipeline with a balanced focus on long term income generating partnerships.

Line Management of one Partnerships Officer.

Develop and implement new fundraising products, to drive income from existing partners and new prospects. This will include challenge events and employee-led fundraising opportunities.

Maximise income from existing corporate partners through a clearly defined programme of research, networking, applications and excellent stewardship.

Plan and organise opportunities for funders to view the impact of their funding first-hand, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed and met.

The Candidate
Strong evidence of experience and success of corporate fundraising or within a face-to-face sales role .

Proven track record of securing gifts/ sales more than 50,000.

Experience of implementing new fundraising/ income generating strategies.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support young people when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for young people, every step of the way. 

This role sits within our children and families directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for young people who urgently need support. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services within the Essex area. 

We wish to recruit a Substance Misuse Practitioner to join the established All Age Recovery Co-ordination Service (AARCS), which we deliver in partnership with Open Road, supporting young people, adults and families affected by substance misuse.

You will undertake individual assessments and risk assessment with young people up to the age of 25, developing a person-centred care plan specific to that young person and their needs and supporting them through their recovery journey with the service. This will be delivered through a range of tailored interventions, in both a one to one and/or targeted group work capacity.

-You will have substantial experience in working with vulnerable young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity.

-You will have experience of carrying out individual and group work interventions with young people & adults.

-You will have experience in using Microsoft Office Applications and other relevant data systems.

We have a rewarding opportunity to for four Positive Behaviour Support Workers (PBS) to join our new and expanding service supporting children, young people with autism and learning disabilities. This role would be supporting families across Manchester. 

Working therapeutically within a person-centred PBS model the role will focus on enabling young people to access education, community activities and enabling families to have a better quality of life.  

The service is based in Wythenshawe, Manchester however you will work across Manchester supporting several families. 

Starting salary is £24,700 per annum (£12.67ph) based on working 37.5 hours per week.

Weekend shifts paid at 25% extra per hour

 As a specialist service there is a comprehensive package of training and support either internally within the Trust’s Learning & Development Team or externally with our professional partners (which include social services and CAHMS).

The role includes:

• Travelling throughout the Manchester local authority area, you will visit a variety of settings that meets the young person’s needs.  
• Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people.  
• Assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans which includes working in partnership with other agencies.
• Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people looked after within the unit by assisting in identifying, establishing, and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

The Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Work alongside people affected by stroke with communication difficulties to plan and work towards recovery outcomes that are important to them, including secondary prevention needs.
• Enable stroke survivors and where appropriate family members/carers to develop independence and confidence in the use of tools and strategies to support communication.

About You

You will:
