Trusts Fundraiser
Location: Remote – Homebased
Contract: Part Time - 25 hours per week | Permanent
Salary: £29,656.01 - £31,134.23 (Full Time Equivalent)
Deafblind UK has championed people with dual sensory loss since 1928, helping them to overcome the unique set of challenges they face. We support the rights and interests of deafblind people of all ages, in the belief that they deserve the opportunity to live their lives to the fullest, retain their independence, and be included in their local communities. Wellbeing, emotional and practical support forms the cornerstone of our support services. What you’ll be doing
You will produce excellent and compelling funding applications, based on thorough research. You will liaise with colleagues to help construct applications. Once funding is secured, you will steward your portfolio of funders to ensure that they are well informed about our work and inclined to provide us with further support. You will ensure that records are accurately maintained on our CRM system.
You will bring to the role:
- Proven experience in Trusts Fundraising
- Demonstrable evidence of first-class writing skills, with the capacity to translate complex subject matter into a compelling, and easily understood case for support
- Good research skills, with the ability to match the organisation’s projects and strands of work with funders’ priorities
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to meet multiple deadlines
- Good admin skills, with a good eye for detail, and a commitment to 100% accuracy

Community and Events Fundraiser
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £29,003.00 - £31,214.00 per annum (pro-rata) - salary dependent on skills, experience and knowledge
Contract: 9 - 12 Months Fixed Term/Temp Contract
Base: Osney Mead, Oxford OX2. Frequent travel within Oxfordshire and Berkshire will be required. Some home working possible.

About the Role and the Team
The Development Team generates funds to enable everyone experiencing a mental health issue to get both support and respect. We fundraise from corporates, major donors, trusts, events and in the community as well as providing paid-for workplace wellbeing training and consultancy services. We thrive on delivering an excellent experience for all our clients and supporters to build a valued community.
This role will provide support to existing supporters and proactively expand community and event fundraising initiatives through groups, organisations, individuals, community-based events and 3rd party sporting events.
The post-holder is responsible for building relationships with community-based groups, individuals and event participants to ensure they reach their fundraising potential/target for the charity, whilst being an excellent ambassador for the organisation.
The post-holder will provide a physical presence at events, meetings and engagement opportunities.
This is an income generating role, but it is also about connecting with our supporters and creating long-term relationships for the future
About You
We are currently looking to recruit a Community and Events Fundraiser and would really welcome applications for it.
We would really like to know how your skills and experience match our requirements. If you feel they do, please tell us how you meet the below requirements:
- Awareness and compassion to the needs of people living with mental and emotional health problems
- Awareness or knowledge of fundraising and charity income, or similar knowledge of managing numerical data.
- Experience in account management, business development or similar roles involving relationship building and/or sales
- Experience of working with varied groups and demographics
- Experience of delivering against targets (e.g. sales, engagement or other data).
- A track record of building and tracking a customer journey/ relationships
- Experience of providing support at public events for fundraising
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Oxfordshire and Berkshire
- Strong relationship building skills including tailoring your approach to different audiences
- Good computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM databases and social media platforms.
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written with an ability to present an appropriate and persuasive case for support
- Ability to work independently seeking advice and support when appropriate
- This role involves out of hours working and a willingness to work flexibly is required
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work on a number of varied projects at once, with the ability to prioritise.

We’re looking for a Community Fundraiser to join Sense on an 8-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to help grow our community fundraising income while building meaningful relationships with supporters across the UK.
About the role
As Community Fundraiser, you will play a key role in developing and growing our community fundraising activity, helping to build a strong, engaged supporter base and generate vital income to support disabled people with complex needs.
You will lead on key income streams such as “Do Your Own Fundraising” and In Memory giving, while supporting campaigns, events and regional opportunities to maximise engagement and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, steward and grow community fundraising supporters.
- Drive participation in key events and challenges.
- Deliver excellent supporter care and build lasting relationships.
- Develop engaging supporter journeys to increase retention and income.
- Work with internal teams to share inspiring stories and increase awareness.
- Identify and support regional fundraising opportunities and grants.
- Track performance, analyse data and optimise fundraising activity.
- Represent Sense at events and within local communities.

This is a home-based role with regular travel across the UK, as well as occasional travel to London and Birmingham. Some evening and weekend work will be required, with time off in lieu provided.
