Job description

Join a small, dedicated team working on cash appeals, memberships and supporter journeys.

Currently supporting 22,000 people in the UK, this charity has in place a promising five year strategy to ensure an increase in supporters, donations and social awareness.

Individual giving is currently on budget to achieve £165.5k this financial year, with investment focused on proactively improving their membership product and on implementing and delivering bespoke welcome and supporter journeys.

This is a great opportunity for an innovative and driven direct marketeer to join a small dedicated team. The initial focus will be on introducing standard practice to retain supporters and give them the best donor experience. You will also introduce new calendar lead campaigns and cash appeals to generate income.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow as the role grows and expands.

Job specification

  • Assist the Head of Fundraising in creating and implementing a new welcome and supporter journey
  • manage the membership magazine and its 1,200 subscribers
  • work on a project to segment 14,000 E-news subscribers into more meaningful data to enable better communications
  • assist the Head of Fundraising to create and manage calendar lead cash appeals via digital channels

Person specification

  • An experienced Direct Marketing Officer, either acquisition- or retention-focused, with experience using digital, direct mail and product memberships to attract supporters
  • An open minded and flexible fundraiser with a keen eye for data and developing new ways of working
  • working knowledge on legacies and in memory beneficial, but not essential
