Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Location: Warwickshire, Dispersed Accommodation (mainly based in South Warwickshire)
Salary: £25,857.12 per annum
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.
You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.
The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.
The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.
The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

Finance Coordinator is a new role to support our expanding services.
This newly created role will form part of our Finance Team. As a member of a small but dynamic team, you will work closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Head of Finance. Your role will be critical to our success, with your principal responsibilities including:
- processing purchase ledger invoices
- inputting bank and all financial transactions onto the Xero accounting system
- recording donations to Xero accounting system
- reconciling donations, stewardship and CAF transactions with Xero
- reconciling cheques, standing orders and Stripe transactions with Xero
- processing the weekly payment runs ensuring that all payments are paid on time
- processing staff and volunteer expenses
You will have the support of our excellent and established Finance Team, which is central to the smooth and effective running of our operations. You will be responsible for liaising with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, as well as our Trustees, partners and suppliers.

The Team Manager Role
We’re looking for someone to work full time, 37.5 hours a week, to manage our Homlessness Prevention Service for people at risk of homelessness across Worcestershire; to manage the wider team of seniors, coordinators and support workers, and work in partnership with stakeholders to deliver on contractual KPIs. The service also delivers the SWEP Night Shelters across the six districts in Worcestershire.
You’ll have an opportunity to expand services that make a real difference in the lives of people who are currently homeless or at risk of losing tenancies.
You’ll ensure the service is set up to promote independence, provide high quality practical and emotional support, and to promote portable and sustainable outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll have a flexible and highly responsive approach to working, with relevant homelessness service experience. Due to the nature of travel between service areas, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport.

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.
^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (45p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back. You'll need a well-maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and Insurance covering business use.
