The Development and Advocacy Department are looking to appoint an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our Philanthropy team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager, in this role you will manage a number of philanthropic relationships and make a significant contribution to the team through developing new initiatives and growing the portfolio.
The ideal candidate profile for this post will be a team player, with the following credentials:
- An established track record in philanthropy or fundraising for major organisations
- Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of high value relationships with experience of personally securing significant gifts

This role is an 18 month contract position that will have hybrid working in the London offices two days per week. The salary for this role is £50,000.

Job Description
The Partnership Officer will be a key member of The Hygiene Bank’s income generation team and wider central team, with a responsibility to help meet the needs of our existing partnerships and support in fulfilling the charity’s income generation plans and strategy.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities are:
Corporate Fundraising
- Support corporate fundraising by completing due diligences on potential partners (you will be trained how to do this), organising corporate visits, volunteering days, supporting corporate fundraising events, keeping corporate partners up to date with our news etc and organising meetings.
Trusts and Foundations
- Support trusts and foundations fundraising by supporting on funder research (again you will be fully trained how to do this) and contributing to a constant pipeline of potential funders for the team to approach.

Events
- Support the team by recording and sending fundraising materials to those raising money for us through events and challenge event.

Individual Giving
- Supporting our Individual Giving programme from an administrative point of view, including sending out pre-written emails to our supporters etc and ensuring first-class stewardship.
- Using our fundraising platform Enthuse to produce reports to support the team (and finance) with relevant information and insights.
- To ensure all donations are processed and on the fundraising tracker correctly, supporter records are kept up to date and supporters are thanked in a timely manner.
General
- To be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries that come in by telephone, email, and post.
- Supporting other activities in the fundraising team when needed, sending out materials to fundraisers and supporting logistics, diary management and support the organisation and delivery of meetings and events when needed.

About the Role
The role of Regional Fundraiser will be focused on proactively searching for new Corporate Partnerships as well as collaborating and working with existing supporters. You will drive forward fundraising on both a regional and national level. You will travel throughout the region building relationships with local groups, schools and individuals. You will also confidently work towards a financial budget and be instrumental in implementing and delivering the fundraising strategy.
About You
Ideally you will have had experience of working in a Charity as a fundraiser. You will have the following skillset.

Stepping Stones exists to improve the lives of adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and agile manager who will be at the heart of the organisation and will lead a small team of qualified tutors and volunteers in continuing to provide high quality experiences for the people who attend. Stepping Stones is a community that loves to socialise and learn new skills together. Our current programme includes art, dance, drama and music, together with digital skills and cooking.
This role is responsible for strategic development with the guidance of the Board of Trustees, income generation, and the management of all aspects of service delivery. It is our intention to appoint a new post of Activity Co-ordinator to support the Charity Manager as budgets allow. Our experience during the pandemic and consequently, has shown us that being together in real life is an essential element of our offer to the people who attend Stepping Stones and so this post requires a physical presence preferably 3 days per week during the period when classes are running (30 weeks per year). ABOUT THE CHARITY
Stepping Stones is a thriving, longstanding and highly valued community organisation. We have delivered activities for over 30 years and our weekly classes are an important part of the lives of people who attend.
Our main delivery is a timetable of up to 14 weekly classes from our base in a multipurpose community centre. We also have activities off site including gardening at a local allotment and music and art classes at a day centre and residential home. Each week over 100 people benefit from our activities.

As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in generating financial support for CAN’s mission and programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and philanthropic organisations, and managing fundraising campaigns.
You will work with the Fundraising Consultant to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which will ensure CAN’s financial sustainability over the next 3 years.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop Fundraising Strategies:
- Work closely with CAN Founders and the Fundraising Consultant to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals and the 3 year organisational strategy.
- Identify and prioritise fundraising opportunities, including grants, individual donors, corporate partnerships, and events.
- Work with CAN volunteers on developing CAN’s commercial model and associated funding streams.
2. Donor & Funder Organisation Cultivation and Relationship Management:

- Identify and engage prospective funders and donors through following funder open calls, targeted outreach and relationship-building activities.
3. Fundraising Campaigns:
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives, to generate revenue and raise awareness of our organisation's mission.

4. Grant Writing and Reporting:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and government sources.
