The role of Community Stewardship Manager (Sooty Volunteers) will help to improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people by managing relationships with our amazing team of volunteer fundraisers who deliver RNIB's Sooty box programme across the UK.
Sooty has been the face of RNIB's charity collection boxes for over 50 years, collecting more than £13 million in public donations.
You will be responsible for ensuring our volunteer's contribution is a positive and supported experience, creating opportunities for volunteers to engage with other teams across the organisation and maximise fundraising income.

What you will need -
The successful person will have experience of volunteer management, ideally working in a fast-paced fundraising team or similar environment, and an interest in learning about creative marketing campaigns and supporter journeys.
You will be a great communicator with the ability to speak to a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure our supporters receive the best stewardship possible. You will also be experienced in motivating people to get involved, quickly building rapport and establishing long lasting relationships.

The Position
The Communications Officer, Global Corporate & Foundation Partnerships will focus on two key workstreams: 1) Implementing the communications and profile-raising strategy for the Development team’s $250M Climate: Possible global campaign and 2) Communications projects supporting European corporate and foundation partners. Working closely with the Communications Director, Global Corporate & Foundation Partnerships, and the Senior Director of Development in Europe, this position will coordinate across internal teams, including fundraising relationship managers and communications and marketing team members, and liaise directly with external partners.
Essential Responsibilities
CLIMATE: POSSIBLE COMMUNICATIONS & PROFILE-STRATEGY SUPPORT (60%)
●Support the execution of the Climate: Possible communications plan, including managing the creation of thought leadership deliverables, developing written and other creative content, and coordinating internal reviews.
●Create an editorial calendar, develop and track an ongoing stream of content for executive and agency social media channels that highlights Mercy Corps’ expertise in climate adaptation programming.
●Event support, including developing briefing documents, talking points, invitation copy, and social media promotion for external climate conferences and events and Mercy Corps-organised corporate and foundation partnership events.
●Create new deliverables and update the existing suite of Climate: Possible marketing materials, as needed.
GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT FOR CORPORATE & FOUNDATION AUDIENCES (35%)
●Contribute to the development and implementation of multi-channel profile-raising strategies in support of the European strategic plan. Contribute to the profile and influence strategy to raise Mercy Corps’ profile with key corporate and foundation donors and prospects.
●Manage emergency response coordination for the Global Corporate and Foundation Partnership teams in partnership with the Global Sr. Communications Officer. Write emergency response communications (creating and sourcing content from internal teams), including email solicitations and updates, and help create donor deliverables, including decks and webinars to support emergency response fundraising amongst Corporate and Foundation partners.
●Source, transform, and create content into compelling Corporate and Foundation audience-specific products, including emails, blog and social posts, pitch decks, fact sheets, and videos.
●Serve as the communications lead, in partnership with corporate relationship managers, for corporate co-fundraising opportunities and submission prizes and competitions.
●Support strategic employee communications efforts for top European corporate partners in partnership with the Employee Engagement Officer.

We are working with an incredible homelessness charity to recruit this key role to cover maternity leave. You will provide direction and manage the team responsible for brand, comms, events and fundraising. You will also directly be responsible for Major Donor relations and income.

This role will start at a key time in strategy development and long term planning, as they enter the final phase of their incredibly successful Up Against Time Appeal to replace their two helicopters.
As they enter the final phase of the appeal, having raised £11.5m of their £15m target (with a number of further pledges confirmed) this role will focus on developing the long term Trusts fundraising strategy. As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will be tasked with considering the opportunities presented by the new 15 year organisational strategy, and contributing to the wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team plans to ensure they have a strong footing as they look to the long term and next 15 years of London's Air Ambulance Charity.
As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will not only lead on strategy development but also build and develop the Trusts pipeline, leading and developing the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to improve internal processes and influence/respond to upcoming fundraising opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Trusts and Prospect Research teams and programmes through a year of maternity cover, ensuring both areas are in a strong position on the return of the substantive postholder.
- Act as LAAC's Trust and Lead Gift (£500k+) fundraising expert, leading the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to be ambitious and consider the long term funding opportunities for the charity.
- Lead the team through the transition from the Up Against Time Appeal to focus on the new 15 year organisational strategy and opportunities it presents to develop the pipeline for new projects.
- Take ownership of the Trusts, Foundations and Statutory pipeline, leading income generation from these sources with a personal focus on £100k+ opportunities, while informing the organisation's approach to restricted fundraising opportunities.

Person Specification:
- Strong sector knowledge and technical expertise of Trust fundraising, with experience of securing £100k+ support from trusts, foundations and/or statutory sources.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and fundraising for restricted projects, monitoring income and expenditure budgets.
- Effective pipeline development skills and the ability to support a Prospect Research function to identify new opportunities.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager for our Fundraising team will focus and lead on:
- Managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships

You will:
- Account manage and build strong relationships with a portfolio of Corporate Partners with current value of four and five figures
