ACCT UK launched its new name and brand in 2021 and we are now seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to continue the delivery of our engagement programme. We are looking for you to bring enthusiasm, personal credibility, discretion and sensitivity in promoting the charity to its beneficiaries and a wide range of stakeholder groups.

As ACCT UK’s Marketing Manager, you will be key to helping the wider community to understand our charity and how it is distinct from the Army Cadets, a youth organisation we are closely linked to.

This is a rewarding and flexible role. The position is a permanent full time post (40 hours per week) which can be either home or office based. The successful applicant will be required to travel occasionally.  The full time starting annual salary for this post is £34,190.73.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. We want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their Army Cadet experience. We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers in the Army Cadets.

Working alongside our strategic partner, the British Army, we help young people to access cadet activity with the Army Cadets through a range of activities including fundraising, grant making, developing new resources and direct support to the Army Cadets.

Neighbourhood Watch Network (NWN) is the representative charity for the Neighbourhood Watch movement across England and Wales with over 2.3M members and 60,000 volunteers. BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change. 
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism. 

In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom. 
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO. 

Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.

Are you passionate about bringing your financial skills and experience to help BCFB fulfil its vision, mission and values.

The Finance Officer will be involved in all aspects of the charity’s financial operations, this is a very broad role. From handling small donations like a child’s pocket money right up to processing large grants.  You will be the first point of call for financial queries and questions arising from our team. You will process purchase and sales invoices, volunteer, and staff expenses.  You will support grant and other fundraising applications, process donations from a variety of different platforms, deal with gift aid and banking. You will need to be an analytical problem solver able to work on your own and as part of our team.

You will have a finance qualification and experience of working in the finance department of a charity.  You will have strong Excel skills and familiarity of dealing with fundraising platforms such as JustGiving.  You will need to form constructive and supportive working relationships with our volunteers and other stakeholders so you will need strong communications skills, excellent numeracy and literacy, the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise your own workload while maintaining a compassionate, professional, and efficient public image for the charity.

The Purpose of the role

 Financial Management

Accounts Receivable

Budgets

· Prepare and update annual income and expenditure budget in consultation with the CEO and other officers.

Reports

Produce regular management information so that key officers and trustees know how well the charity is performing against its budget. To include:

• Provide regular monthly management financial information (including financial highlights/list of assets/budget against actual/restricted and unrestricted funds/fund movement summary/fund balances/trial balance/balance sheet) for the CEO and Board of Trustees.
• Quarterly financial reports for the Board of Trustees including detailed analysis of income and expenditure.
• Reports on individual activities including Lottery and grants.

• Filing Annual Return to the Charity Commission.
• Assisting with funding reports.

Annual Financial Audit

• Work with BSN, our accountants/auditors to produce the statutory accounts and planning of the year-end audit.

Bank and Treasury Management

• Treasury management in connection with cash and investments held by the charity.
• Manage cash flow to ensure that the level of interest received is as high as possible and that bank charges are kept to a minimum.
• Ensuring Current Account balances are kept at a reasonable level.

Fundraising

· Ensure that the most tax-efficient solution is applied to fundraising income through gift aid and other schemes.

· Assisting with applications for funding ensuring that all grants, sponsorship and donations are paid on time and the financial conditions met.

· Keeping clear records of funding bids, successful bids and spending related to these bids.

Communication and Coordination

• Ensure the efficient circulation of financial information as needed including that required from external advisers e.g., auditors.
• Liaise with and advise the CEO and others as appropriate on all financial matters.
• Liaise with and maintain a good working relationship with bankers, accountants, auditors and donors.
• Liaise and maintain a good working relationship with volunteers, staff and Board of Trustees.

Professional/Technical

• Keep up to date with financial developments across the sector, changes in requirements for charity reporting and changes in legislation.

Administration

Aid Box Community (ABC) is a Bristol charity that provides hope, love and a sense of belonging to people seeking asylum in Bristol. The charity was started 7 years ago on the Refugee camps in France by a local mum and has grown and evolved to support over 5000 people a year through our Free Shop and Welcome Hub, Activity Groups and Trips and Connections Befriending program. We have 336 volunteers and a fantastic, small team and we are looking for a part time Finance Officer. 

The job is for 15hrs a week ideally to be worked over 2 or 3 days Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Based at the ABC office, Portland Square, Bristol and some home working on agreement.

We are a small team, and you may be asked to do something outside of your Job Description and help support other members of the Aid Box team.

Job Description:  

The Finance Officer will have a wide variety of financial management and control tasks from day to day bookkeeping to filing year end accounts. They will formally report to the Director of Strategy and liaise regularly with the Board Treasurer.

Role Overview 

The Finance Officer is responsible for the smooth running of all day-to-day aspects of the financial management of Aid Box Community (ABC): 

• Provide a high quality and effective financial management and Bookkeeping service to the charity 

• Prepare, develop and analyse management accounting information and reports, including a standard suite of monthly reports and ad-hoc reports as required by the Charity 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial statutory and regulatory matters relevant to the Charity 

• Liaison with the external Auditor in preparing and getting approval and sign off of the annual statutory accounts

Key responsibilities:  

The postholder will advise the charity on all matters relating to the finance of the organisation and provide management information for the Board of trustees. They will also be expected to contribute to future strategy, business planning, year-end accounts, monitoring of budgets and performance, and full adherence to al financial policies and procedures in accordance with the Finance Manual. Qualified or part qualified Bookkeeper or with considerable experience in a similar role preferably in the charitable or not for profit sector

Marketing Officer

1.0 Job Purpose

As a Marketing Officer within our charity, your role is pivotal in driving fundraising and retail activities. Your primary responsibility is to devise and execute marketing workplans that effectively promote our fundraising campaigns and enhance the performance of our retail initiatives. By engaging with various stakeholders and utilising creative marketing techniques, you play a crucial role in generating income for our three brands: Saint Michael’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice Homecare and Just ‘B’.

2.0 Key Tasks

• Develop and implement marketing workplans to promote fundraising activities and retail operations, aligning with our organisational goals and objectives.
• Create engaging content and collateral to support fundraising campaigns, events, and retail promotions across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
• Manage social media platforms and online channels to raise awareness of fundraising initiatives and drive community engagement.
• Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of marketing materials for fundraising events, including posters, flyers, and digital assets.
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop compelling appeals, donor communications, and stewardship materials.
• Work closely with retail staff to promote shops, special offers, and events at charity shops through targeted marketing efforts.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and target audiences for fundraising and retail marketing campaigns.

Financial

• Assist in budget planning and management for marketing initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Monitor marketing expenses and report on budget adherence to the Marketing Manager.

Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines in all marketing activities, particularly in relation to fundraising regulations.
• To ensure that all campaigns, content, and material meet brand guidelines, the law and ethical best practice and to provide support to encourage other teams to meet such guidelines

Management

• Coordinate with volunteers and external agencies to support marketing campaigns and events.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues involved in fundraising and retail activities.

Your work will ensure the short- and long-term sustainability of ANT, enabling us to keep delivering impact for decades to come. You will secure ANT financially and drive forward innovative new commercial opportunities, helping to deliver on our goals to plant hundreds of thousands of trees and complementary habitats. Immediate commercial opportunities include natural capital sales, ethical investing, business model development for Landscape Recovery in the Lower Chew and development of ANT’s ecotourism trading arm.

Main responsibilities
● Lead on ANT’s overall commercial development strategy to ensure long term financial viability and sustainability of the charity

A Partner in Education (APIE) is a small charity established in 2009 to support education development in Rwanda and make a positive difference to children’s futures.
